Took a client to Lincoln for lunch. While I appreciate not waiting forever for food, our meals came out within minutes of ordering them. My meal was awful. Asked if I could get the chicken sandwich grilled instead of fried. Was told no even though they have done it for me previously. There used to be a plain grilled chicken sandwich on the menu which is healthier.
When I received my meal, realized why. Once I took off all of the breading and the skin, it was just bone and gristle. There were only a few morsels of chicken, and I mean morsels. Had also said no sauces, butter, spreads, or cheese. It came with sauce on it and the waiter never checked back for me to tell him. Half of the waffle it came on had the sauce on it. So my meal consisted of half of a waffle, a few morsels of chicken and a tiny side salad. Left hungry. Because I was with a client didn't want to make an issue but felt really ripped off and was very disappointed.
the spinach artichoke grilled cheese and brussel sprouts are amazingggg!
Perhaps it was just due to being dinnertime on Mother’s Day and everyone was exhausted from the rush, but we felt the service from our waiter was mediocre and that he was short with us. The host and bussers were all very nice though. The food was good, but not great. The decor was good, but not great (they actually had stacks of plastic patio chairs in the middle of the restaurant). Too many fantastic restaurants to ever come back here.
Mother's day brunch
We have enjoyed dining at the Lincoln previously so it was an obvious choice for Mother’s Day brunch. The service was outstanding! The only negative, if I introduce one, was the steep price of $52 per person. Had I known in advance, we would have probably gone elsewhere.
Rather disappointed to be honest. Went for Mother’s Day expecting great food like my previous visits. The set menu really was not all that great. Will visit again but not if there is a set menu.
Yuck and service was non existent. Lamb covered in big globs of fat, Amish chicken inedible would not return
Didn’t love the loud music in outside patio. Otherwise great!
This is a go-to choice for us taking associates out to lunch. They offer a price-fixe menu during lunch which is generous (3 courses for $25), and it really does offer up some of my favorite entrees. (I wish they would offer tastier desserts, however.)
It's nice to sit at a "real" table, for a full meal, mid-day in the busy metro area. For us, it's very convenient to our office. For others, I feel it's worth the extra block or two to have a real restaurant. And, outside tables are now available.
I do find that service diminishes in generosity toward the end of the busy lunch hour... to the point that I am sometimes not properly attended to. HOWEVER, the wait staff is always pleasant and skilled. So, if this is an important lunch for you, I would just suggest letting your waiter know ahead of time that your meeting is important, and the tip will compensate for heightened attention and service.
This restaurant specializes in small plates “Tapas” style of dining. We decided to eat outside because it was very busy inside and noisy. We were helped by a delightful server who helped with questions about the preparation of specific menu items. We were not rushed or ignored and enjoyed our selections and the service. For starters we had the Crispy Brussels sprouts and the strawberry spinach salad which had a terrific maple syrup vinigrette dressing with candied pecans. Following we had scallops with pea pods capers and parsley purée and halibut poached in a vegetable olive broth with baby carrots artichoke hearts and pearl onions.
We had a glass from the wine list that really matched our meal perfectly. All in all very satisfying.
Our server and the staff were very nice and responsive. We went for Cinco de Mayo and had a very nice time. We were a large party and they accommodated us well. The only drawback: the grits were too coarse. I saw other tables send them back, and I only took a little. For $50, the value was well worth the amount of food! I'll be back :0)
The food was spectacular. It is a dream to pair gnocchi with potatoes and the lamb shank melted in your mouth.
Fabulous lunch! The grilled cheese with spinach and artichoke was amazing. Wide variety from salads to burgers to tapas styled lunch entrees. Peach lemonade was delicious as well. We will be back!
Very great experience, the food was good and the service was great!
The portions are large, despite their trying to be a tapas restaurant. So, be careful in ordering.
While the food and place itself was great the service was absolutely terrible.
Brandy, our server, was amazing. She not only took care of our needs in a manner that allowed me to continue an important and detailed discussion with a colleague, but she also helped me communicate with my children after misplacing my phone:)
LaShaun, our server, was awesome. She was very polite and attentive. However, the food experience was very average. Lincoln describes itself as an "American tapas" place, but the portions were very odd and inconsistent. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, and it came with only 3 pieces of bread, which didn't even come close to being enough to finish the dip. And apparently, they charge $1.50 extra for each additional bread order, which seems unnecessary considering they don't even give you enough in the first place. We also ordered risotto which came in a HUGE portion -- enough for a table of 5 or more people to share. The experience was ok, but it felt like we paid a lot (TOO much) for very average food.
It's a nice enough place with decent food. It's slightly pricey. A glass of wine was stupidly expensive. The back room was very loud.
Went for Easter Brunch. First of all, we called a week in advance to see if we could add two people to our party. We were told the place was full to capacity and no accommodations could be made. When we walked in to the place at our appointment time, the place was dead. Tons of empty tables. It was so obvious we made a comment to the guy in the pink shirt at the hosts table when we checked in. He was very defensive about it and said “we have 400 reservations today”. He never offered anything words of apology or anything but was very sharp and defensive. We were seated.
We took a look at the set menu and quickly realized that most of the fan favorites were not on it. So we had to choose something. We went with the Lamb. Once the lamb came out the flavor was terrible. It had no taste. Not even seasoning. It tasted like raw meat...nasty! We complained and the waitress was amazing and offered to bring something different. As we were talking with the waitress...the couple sitting next to us at a different table leaned over and said they thought the same thing. The waitress had to then apologize to them as well.
By this point the place still had tons of empty tables all over the Restaraunt. We commented to the wait staff about the empty tables. She replied “trust me...we know. All the wait staff is so annoyed that they called all of us in to work for empty tables”.
At the end when we were walking out..we commented again to a different manager (Asian guy). He was very defensive also about the situation.
Lincoln....you can do better. Very disappointed customer and worst Easter Brunch ever... we will not be back for a long time.
The only positive thing about our experience was our waitress...she was amazing.
From the moment we walked in, everything was great! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Easter brunch was absolutely delicious! We ate so much food. The mimosas paired perfectly with the Maryland crab Benedict. This was the perfect place for us to dine while in town.
Tasty and well presented Easter brunch for my wife and I and our two grandchildren. I particularly liked Lincoln’s brunch model, which was to offer a choice of items from a regular menu augmented by “all you can eat” stations with Omelettes and other items. Service was prompt and friendly, and the manager stopped by our table to assure that our needs were being met. The decor was an interesting combination of contemporary and traditional, and the low noise level allowed comfortable conversation. We would gladly return.
The food was amazing! Easter brunch was spectacular. Best scallops I have ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly, served hot and with a smile. My 6 year old daughter loved her Easter bag of goodies and the made to order waffle. I can't say enough about how great it was!
We had lunch here this past Friday. Was a disappointment; soggy brussel sprouts; non-fresh fresh-cut fries; mediocre fish sandwich. Likely won’t return.
Attentive service. Delicious food. Reasonable price. Overall, a delightful meal. The main room is very loud. They seated us in a quieter room on request, it is was much better, but still on the side of loud. The food was amazing and every single person who helped us was friendly and right there when needed. I would absolutely go again, but would definitely want the smaller, quieter room.
Excellent dinner! Asked for recommendations from our waiter and his choices were delicious. The vegetable risotto was amazing!
Server was very happy, attentive and energetic. She did warn us that the food comes out as ready, so we had some folks without any food for awhile because we had a large party. The food was very good. I had chicken pot pie which was great. The artichoke dip and grilled Brussels sprouts was also a highlight. The crab gnocchi was lacking crab and the salmon was tasty, but took such a long time to come out they comped it.
Quinn was the best. I'm very happy that she serviced me during my visit to your location.
Our waiter never returned to our table after taking our order. Other employees brought out our food which is appropriate however he never refilled our glasses, asked how our food was of if we needed anything. We had to ask for a manager just to get our check after being completely finished eating for about 20 min
Manager was nice & would not allow us to pay for our meal. I left feeling complete it’s horrible. I don’t like not paying for a meal that I ate. The food was really good.
I’m still just angered that the waiter walked by our table over & over and NEVER stopped!!
Great place, staff go out of the way to make sure you have a great experience. Obviously committed to what they do and food was amazing! Will definitely be back.
I come to Lincoln all the time and have for years. The service was terrible- someone tried to re-hand me my dirty silverware after it was taken away, and a server threw a napkin or towel over our table to another table. It took us 25 minutes to get drinks and 2.5 hours to finish our meal. There was techno music playing and some small plates instead of adult dinner. Not enjoyable at all.
Sent many people there but had never been myself. Loved it. The blackened Halibut was delicious!
We were in town for the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler. The food was delicious. The drinks were ok. My All American Mule was very watered down. The decor was amazing.
Our waiter could not have been less interested. Looking out the window while describing the menu--it was like he was on autopilot; whisked away half eaten entrees--anxious to bring in the next party?; brought the wrong beer.
Burgers were overcooked (this is a kitchen problem, not wait staff).
Unable to split a check between two credit cards? Really?
Cannot recommend and will not be going back.
Food was great!! Just wished it was a bit quieter.
Liked the place and food. We got seated by the front door so it felt out in the open so we didn’t really feel the ambience of the place and then would get distracting when people came in, also a little cold when the door opened so wasn’t too happy about that. Good food and service though.
Great for date; Great Service; Good Food; Great vibe.
It was no clear to me that happy hour was only in the bar area and I was disappointed. If I had known that I would have chosen a different place for a happy hour.
Nice atmosphere here. Good happy hour before dinner. Service was spotty - couldn't always get the server's attention. Dinner came right on the heels of the lone appetizer and there was a small gap in serving all three dinners. My food was good - scallops were nicely prepared. Service at end of meal was again slow. Not as great as my first dinner here but I will come back.
