Lincoln - DC
Savor our seasonal American small plate menu crafted from fresh ingredients supplied by local & regional farms. LINCOLN pays tribute to one of our greatest US Presidents, with nods to many of his favorite foods including oysters, gingerbread and chicken pot pie.
If you’re thirsty for cocktails that are truly one-of-a-kind, our barkeeps, have created one of the city’s freshest bar programs highlighted by mason jars featuring infused bourbons and DC's first moonshine-list served in antique-style copper cups. In warm weather months enjoy our patio offering panoramic views of DC’s urban landscape. LINCOLN is the right place for your next private event with many options for private dining from 10 to 200.

Party of 7 for lunch. 3 of the 7 were pleased with their meal and 4 of us were not. Probably won't return. Our server however was the best part; she was very attentive.
Food and service was wonderful but it was very loud. They need better acoustics.
This was my second time having lunch at Lincoln. It truly is a neighborhood gem. It's a reasonably priced lunch spot that I believe is suitable for casual and business diners. The food is awesome. The only reason for not giving 5 stars for food is that on this particular day I ordered the pot pie that was supposed to have peas (my favorite veggie) in it, but there was not one pea in my pie. I highly recommend the apple/brie grilled cheese. Good size portions - I've taken home a doggie bag each time.
This dining spot features Tapas size portions, which is entirely appropriate. The dinners were well prepared, nicely presented and professionally served by George. The speed of the service was much faster than expected based on a comparison of eating elsewhere the night before in the same neighborhood. I would go back to Lincoln anytime.
My party and I had a great time. Our server Moses was awesome, although the host was very disconnected...He practically ran away from us while he seated us. Low energy and didn't really smile... But all in all it was a good time, we'll be back :)
Ask for Scott- he'll take good care of you. Also, if you're going to the brunch, the shrimp and grits were very bland (salt, pepper, and butter- had to be added to be remotely edible) everything else was great. Mimosas were good too.
I came to celebrate my birthday and the server we had was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I can’t remember the gentleman name I do believe it beings with a “P” and he’s short and dark skin I think with a accent.
This favorite remains just that. When you add great friends the combination of excellent food and service is magnified!
Hardly any guests the night we went. Food was outstanding. The server (woman) was attentive, intelligent, responsive, and gracious. I would absolutely go back but would hope for more guests to get a vibe from the place. The night we went was Friday after Thanksgiving on Thursday so the area was pretty dead in general. Atmosphere was interesting. Gotta see Lincoln’s “big chair”, LOL.
NO!! I WOULD NOT recommend the Thanksgiving buffet at Lincoln-DC! That was my first time having Thanksgiving dinner there. The food on the bar was cold and picked over. The serving utensils at the bar were caked with old food. The salmon at the carving station was way under cooked, pertnear raw, which was a big deal for me because I do not eat meat so I couldn't enjoy the turkey and prime rib. The best part of the meal was the lobster hushpuppies.... which were actually hot and fresh. For $132.00...( dinner for two) I was super cheated.
My husband and I were visiting DC for Thanksgiving and decided to try the Lincoln's buffet. The food was amazing, top level, and well worth the price. However, it was extremely crowded and so loud that we couldn't carry on a conversation, and I believe our server was trying to take care of too many tables as we and other patrons were left alone for long stretches of time. Because the food was so good, we're going to try to eat there again on our next visit - but not on a holiday.
Small place with a lot going on. First experience was Thanksgiving buffet. Food was good, service was also good but, I believe there was so much going on that it complicated things for the staff.
The buffet line we're in the middle of the restaurant which made it difficult for both patrons and staff to maneuver. The beef, fish, turkey and gravies were in the back which was caused more transiting around the restaurant.
Overall, everything worked out and we enjoyed our dinner. We'll go back again for sure.
Great over all. We had a poor server.
Food was great. Cool restaurant.
We very much enjoyed the Thanksgiving Day Dinner. The service and food was top notch!
We spent Thanksgiving here. Food was amazing. Service excellent.
Two families who celebrate thanksgiving together wanted someone else to do the cooking this year - we couldn’t have picked a better place! Courteous service who went above and beyond to make sure severe allergies were covered. Everything we ate was delicious, even for the youngest guests. The combo of pre fixe and buffet gave everyone the combinations and amounts they wanted. Lovely ambience, and despite it being busy we had no trouble holding a conversation or moving through the buffet & carving station.
We selected Lincoln for dinner because of the location--convenient to our hotel and Ford's Theatre. Lincoln has ample seating including at the window and in private dining rooms. We were promptly and pleasantly greeted on arrival. Our server was professional and knowledgeable. We selected a pitcher of made-in-house (according to our server) red sangria instead of wine. The sangria was good--not too syrupy or sweet. The sangria was a good value. Cod and chicken pot pie were our entrees. The pot pie was very hot and tasty. The cod was small and tasteless. We were the only diners at Lincoln until our departure when several parties arrived. Our dining experience should have been pleasant and quiet but instead the raucous restaurant staff was gathered at the bar. This group was so loud that it was difficult to converse. They were obviously cognizant of the noise because an individual apologized and offered us complimentary drinks which we declined. We will not return to Lincoln.
Great Sunday brunch with good music!
Excellent service. Wes took great care of us. I will be back!
Good food, great drinks, very good service. Very romantic.
Came upon this gem by accident. It was fantastic! The soup was amazing and the chicken pot pie was perfect. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting DC.
Overpriced and small servings. Even though I went on a Tuesday night, it was packed and LOUD. Service was slow but adequate.
Too many questions. Geez
The service at Lincoln was terrific. Our server was incredibly accommodating. We came during Sunday brunch and didn’t realize we came in the middle of the turn up! Sunday brunch is lit and we didn’t get the memo. Not the kind of vibe we were going for but we still had a great time and the food was incredible!
Great ambiance and menu. Take reservations and food comes out quick but delicious!
In for the weekend, Wes was very helpful in navigating the menu and choosing some awesome dishes. He also gave us some recommendations on the local attractions to take in while we were in town. Hen of the woods was very tasty with a great combination of flavours. Will come back next time we are in town.
Our server Wes was the absolute best - very attentive but not too much - great attitude and very engaging. Definitely a place to go if you’re looking for a good farm to table restaurant in dc this is a place to go.
Good down home menu! Very tasty and served quickly. Our server was dynamic, attentive and engaging - the ambience was lively and fun.
The food is fun and eclectic but easy for a family to find lots to love... cool creative decor and a very fun vibe. Too bad our server only had about 10% of the personality that the food did, but it didn't wreck our time. Loved it!
Somewhat quick service, but restaurant gets quite loud at dinner. Request a table off to the side or in the corner- we were out in the middle and it was a bit hectic.
We were celebrating a birthday and they couldn’t have been more accommodating or generous in helping our celebration. We had a great night
Short ribs bland and dry, shrimp and grits lackluster, chicken pot pie ok but nothing special. Extremely loud. Could barely hold conversation with folks at our table. Was very crowded. I surmise most folks are tourists who don’t know there are many other places with great tasting food in DC. Must be convenient to hotels.
I’ve been there several times for business dinners because it’s one of the only places around there to do a business dinner. But it is so noisy that I always say I’m never going back. The food is good and the ambience is good but the noise level is just very high.
My favorite brunch spot in D.C. Wes was an amazing host. We appreciate his service and attention. The omelette and waffle station are great. Will return!
It was amazing and the food was great as always.
Brandi provided exceptional service and contributed to a wonderful experience. I would certainly go back and specifically request her.
Wes provided amazing service! He knew all about the dishes and drinks and was able to help us choose between all of the yummy treats on the menu (duck gnocchi or chicken pot pie?!! #toughdecisions) Had a great time for my birthday! Thanks!
Great find in DC we were impressed and will be using for a larger affair next year. Great space with eclectic atmosphere and good vibe. The food was great -service great - we felt welcomed.
Tapas style menu doesn't really work. Portions are hard to guess, and value hard to judge
The scallops and cod were outstanding, but the accompaniments to the scallops and cod on the plates as well as the other small plates that we ordered (brussels sprouts, hen-of-the-woods) were just ok.
