Exceptional!!!

Delicious food but too loud!!

Our party of four was seated promptly, and our server (George) was excellent. All of our menu selections were intriguing and wonderful. Ordering 7 "small plates" among 4 people, we had more than enough to eat - could not finish it all, hard as we tried. The room was noisy, but that goes with the territory - Friday evening, with a bachelorette party at the bar.

Great food!

I've been numerous times, and as always this restaurant does not disappoint! I brought a friend for brunch (it was her first time and she thoroughly ENJOYED it!) ...I'll be back again and again - the food is outstanding, the service is great and the bottomless mimosas keep coming! Moses was our server and he was ABSOLUTELY wonderful!!

Double date at Lincoln, great ambiance and location however the food tastes like what you would imagine fancy gourmet nursing home food would taste like. Bland but well cooked. No strong flavors in favor of comfort food

Excellent food and service. Portions were perfect.

Lincoln is definitely one of my go to restaurants because it’s located so closely to my office, but the food is always delicious, and the outdoor tables are great for big groups and for small gatherings. The location is also super convenient for the k street crowd. The sandwiches and salads are all really delicious. This time I had the lobster roll which was fresh and tasty.

The happy hour menu is also great for a few drinks after work. Definitely get the deviled eggs and the Moscow Mule in an aluminum cup is really authentic.

Original artwork by Maggie O’Neill inside is really the topper, as she is a local impressionist artist who really captures the feel and warmth of a warm spring day in DC.

I used to LOVE Lincoln. This visit was different. Waiters couldn't get straight who was our server, it was confusing and then they both kept bringing it up to us, as if we should moderate their debate decide ourselves. After ordering it for years, they wouldn't give us salmon on the kale salad. So we ordered the kale salad. and the salmon. And combined them. Which really seems like something the kitchen could do. The food was less special than usual and the staffing felt really iffy. Hope it's just an off day; usually it's a great neighborhood joint - funkier and more relaxed than most places nearby.

The only 2 things I would change would be
1) decrease the amount of salt in the food.
2) have server who brings out the food know the name of the entrée. She pronounced gnocchi wrong. I don't want people to make fun of her.
Otherwise, 2 thumbs up!

Very tasty food but poor service-didnt receive drinks for 25 minutes after order and server generally absent. Saw other servers taking care of their tables so maybe just an isolated experience.

Great food and service. I have been and will always be in love with the decor. The music the DJ played was great. The only thing I’d say was off was the volume. Turning it down just a touch would make the experience that much better!

Awesome service, great comfort food. definitely what we needed after walking around outside in the cold. The wine was good too! Ambience and theme were fun but not over the top.

Loved it! My friends were visiting from another country and loved the emancipation punch and everything

Fun atmosphere and lively bar area. Dinner was good (Brussels sprouts were amazing), the drinks seems a bit light in terms of alcohol but tasty nonetheless. The timing of things were a bit odd and the waiter was hard to come by. But all in all we’d go back just for the Brussels sprouts.

Restaurant was supposed to be close to Fords Theater. It is not. 5-6 minute cab ride away. Way too far to walk.

They don't offer bread! this is a suggestion for the future

Fun ambiance and relaxed atmosphere is all it's got going for it.
Food marginal (salad lacked freshness, meal served cold, drinks expensive, wine pours were not generous).
Basically a bar trying to be a small portion restaurant.
Dropped over $100 for 2 of us and worst dining experience I have had in several years.

Food was great, but George, our waiter, was not. Seemed to forget about us at times.

In town for the night and this place was close by and appeared to be a good choice. Waiter made a good first impression with a hand shake... that was where the impression slipped. Service was slow, they serve food when it is ready ( why can’t a kitchen put things out in order? .... always intrigues me when a restaurant try’s to act like bringing food out when it is ready (out of order) is a thing...it’s Not!) Anyway... food was slow to come out, some was over cooked. Cool looking place but so so overall.

This was both Easter Sunday as well as my birthday and we were looking for a place to have a good meal near our hotel, the Kimpton Donavon. We were utterly disappointed by both the ambiance and the food.

The place is noisy and for the price would have at least liked to have had table cloths, not bare wooden tables. We had no choice but to order from the prix fix menu. I had the small crab cakes for an appetizer which turned out to be ok.

Big confusion with our entree, I ordered the scallops and my husband ordered the Dutch pancakes. They brought out 2 orders of scallops and no pancakes. The scallops were tasty, but greasy. My husbands pancakes arrived after I finished my scallops. Not quite the "meal together" that we had envisioned. The pancakes were fine, but they definitely weren't Dutch. They were no different from any other American pancake we have had. So, a real disappointment since we both have had real Dutch pancakes in the Netherlands and these didn't come close! The family style veggies and potatoes were basically inedible. The asparagus were limp and brown-green and the potatoes were cold and had been on the steam table way too long.

Desert was also a disappointment, with the filling on my little lemon tart being totally liquid ...
Needless to say we will never go back there! And a real diappointment for a birthday meal!

Easter brunch

I had heard a lot about Lincoln - especially their brunch so decided to finally check them out for Easter Sunday. Definitely a disappointment and they did not live up to their hype.

The service/my server was great, but the food overall was mediocre and the brunch prix fixe was a lot of food so in that regard, it was a good value, but otherwise, it was very pricey and left a lot to be desired.

For one person it was $95 (including tax). What a ripoff! $55 for the brunch and I chose not to take advantage of the bottomless mimosas since they looked more like OJ than champagne and ordered 2 glasses of Prosecco (for $20)!

The crab beignets were like mush and the Lobster Thermidor was definitely not traditional. The made to order omelets and waffles were fine. Hard to mess that up, but all of the pastries were super dry and tasteless.

I looked at pics on their website and read a ton of reviews before making a reservation, but will not be back...

We came in for the prix fixe Easter Brunch and had an awfully disappointing experience. Our waitress was curt and mostly ignored our table, and service was atrociously slow and inept. A party seated after us received their drinks and first course before our waitress even took our drink order, after which she disappeared for more than twenty minutes. Another waitress actually went and got our drinks and then took our food order after noticing that we were STILL waiting with an empty table. Most of the food we actually received was fine, but our entrees were supposed to be served with family style sides, which never arrived. Our waitress didn't appear to notice, and never asked how we were doing or if she could get us anything else. Both of us had the creme brulee dessert option, which was frankly terrible. It was more reminiscent of a firm mousse cake than creme brulee, and had an awful skin on the outside that made it basically inedible. No comment from the waitress, or a manager who passed by, about our uneaten desserts. We had also ordered the bottomless mimosas, only to be mostly ignored by the servers roaming with refill pitchers, perhaps due to our awkward table location.

I found the Easter brunch to be overpriced and food quality mediocre. The eggs had runny whites and the profiteroles were still frozen. The asparagus sides were very overcooked and the cornbread was very bland and heavy.

Easter Brunch was relaxing with very good food and an exceptional waiter.

Food was delicious. Everything was really good from the deviled eggs to the lamb shoulder to the desserts. Decor is fun--nice place for a date or dinner out with friends.

Good food -and great service.

The food is alway excellent and reasonably priced. The service is prompt without being intrusive, and the noise level is energetic (but just what you’d expect from a busy luncheon spot with professional folk talking business over a meal. One of my favorite spots for lunch!

Restaurant was clean. Service was good. The food choices were respectable but portion sizing for the amount of money were unacceptable.

The pot pie was fantastic. The gnocchi was greasy and plain. Menu was surprisingly limited.

Always love going to Lincoln. Service was a bit slow this time but still enjoyed the food.

Our hostess and server was so very helpful and professional and made our luncheon very pleasurable. It was my first time there. I had heard a long time ago the floor was covered in pennies, but someone told me that the wood planks with the pennies are replacements. It wasn't a huge disappointment. It still looked nice.

The waiter was judgmental and rude .

Terrible service, never saw the waiter after we ordered and never had drinks refilled. The food was extremely overpriced for tapas/small dishes. There are far more better choices for a meal in DC - don’t waste your money at this restaurant.

Great restaurant. Excellent food and wait stage. So.,,, this is kind of a family style share of what they call small plates. Wait staff suggests 2 to 3 plates per person. I would order a couple at a time One it the plates was actually good for 5 people. Some like a lot of food Those who just want to fill up and stuff yourselves, go for it. But those who eat healthy then order slowly. Restaurants like the tend to sell up in my opinion.

Happy hour specials can only be redeemed at the bar. You can also not order special items listed on the table. Not sure why since it was advertised on the table. Server would not bring me the drink said I had to order it at the bar. The food was great. Pricy but I didn’t mind because it was delicious.

Great food but it is small portion tapas. Not a large menu but our pot pie and salmon were delicious. Fun atmosphere and the bar seemed like a popular spot.

Overall good experience just thought the server was a little slow to take orders and lacked enthusiasm in general.
