We have been here a few times and had good service and great food. Tonight was not that. They had just put our appetizers down and as I was putting my fork in my mouth, the server asked if we were ready to order our entrees. I politely said no. The salad, mozzarella and carpaccio were good. We ordered after we were done with our apps.
The veal chops and veal medallion entrees we ordered were also good. One of the guests at the table ordered the pork chop special and was told it came with asparagus. First of all it came stuffed with prosciutto and cheese which she was not told and it came with different vegetables . The server should have advised how it was prepared. It was overdone and dry so she sent it back. Vincenzo the owner came by and I told him everything was good other than the pork chop. He blew that off or simply wasn’t paying attention.
The rest of us as I said enjoyed our veal dishes. We ordered dessert right away. Gelato is not made in house nor are the other desserts apparently. We both had the chocolate soufflé which was definitely not made in house though it was ok. For a restaurant like this dessert should not be an afterthought.
We immediately asked for the check after dessert and paid it right away. My wife was in the bathroom and the server came by and said sorry the next table is has been waiting up front for 10 minutes. We had already paid the check and were ready to leave as she could see. I am in the restaurant business so I am sensitive to the challenges. I won’t come back here though.
This was our second time dining at Limoncello's and as before the food was outstanding. What was remarkable was that our waiter remembered us and what I had ordered, even though it had been nearly two weeks since our last visit. Either he has a great memory or they have a great computer system. In any event the service and food were great
This was our first time here and my girl friend and I were so excited to try it after hearing such good things. Unfortunately our service made everything fall flat. Our waitress was "Lauren L." according to our check. She never introduced herself, so the check is the only way I knew.
Her attitude was terrible the entire time. I asked for "a dry Rosè" and she suggested one and brought it out. It was okay but not really that great or that dry. When it was time for a refill, I asked for something else. She claimed that was the only dry Rosè they had but "I guess I can bring you something else." She brought out another Rosè and it was MUCH drier than the "dry" Rosè she suggested the first time!!
She was rushing us the whole time. We got our entrees. They were good. My friend ordered a salad with shrimp. The shrimp came out hot and with heads and shells fully on. Apparently she was going to have to peel them herself to put on her salad? But they were too hot to peel, so she had to sit there and wait for them to cool down and then peel them and get her hands dirty.
Next, Lauren rushed us to order dessert. We decided to order the soufflé and she walked away. Before the soufflé even came out she walks up to our table, looks at her watch and says "just so you know--your 2 hours is up!"
Uhhh what? 1. No one told us we had a limit. And 2. If you had informed us of this at the beginning of the seating, that would have been better. 3. It was literally THE MINUTE that we had gone past the 2 hours was up and our dessert wasn't even out yet! So I asked if we were allowed to eat our dessert, she said yes and brought us the check with the dessert. The check was just a paper check slapped on the table. No check holder or folder. Just the paper check. Overall, we were very disappointed. I had dinner the night before at an Atlas group restaurant where service was IMPECCABLE. This was a STARK contrast. We will not be returning.
limoncello was great and the food was delicious !!
Jose did a fantastic job and the food was amazing.
Great, authentic Italian food with a great atmosphere. Started with Mozzarella D.O.P, split the Gnocchi Al Telefono and Pappardelle Zafferano, and finished off with the Tiramisu and Zabaglione. Everything we had was amazing, perfect for a special occasion!
Food might be Italian inspired, the service would not be acceptable in Campania or anywhere in Italy. Lunch at 1:00, few tables on the patio, only two people inside. Waited for 15 mins, server walked past and without acknowledging us. Hostess finally arrived to bring water and bread and said the server would be coming. Waited yet again for server. She didn’t seem to understand the names of the wines, so pointing prevented getting the wrong wine.
One hour between being seated and receiving our order – a salad and a panino. Porchetta panino was excellent, the Finocchietta salad didn’t have as much finocchio as one would expect. Good wines by the glass, generous pours, good temperature.
Attracted to the restaurant after seeing Vitello Tonnato on the menu. Was surprised to find “haven’t had since the beginning of the Covid…..”, out for a few weeks ok, but 15 months, and it’s a web based menu. Un peccato
A little slice of Italy right in Locust Point! Love the outdoor patio with charming greenery. Felt like an oasis!
Def service issues. No one cleaned up our dirty dishes, wiped the table from condensation and or checked for needed fresh silverware. No one refilled our wine glasses, water glasses. Busboy walked by several times and looked at us but did not clear the table until I made the request.
Food was good but 2/4 items had to be sent back because there were not hot. Once they were at the right temperature we enjoyed. All in all, it is a nice place and hoping they can iron out these issues
Food was outstanding. The service was a little slow but the wait staff worked hard and was attentive. Patio dining was delightful.
the ambiance was really nice the food was good I like more seasoning on my food but other than that I did like it, the outdoor ambiance was lovely our server was awesome I can recall his name but I know it starts with a K. Everyone who visited our table was extremely nice.
Delicious food and great service!
Outstanding service, original and terrific drinks, creative and very high quality food, neat atmosphere. Outside dining, while loud, was great. Prices were not out of line for higher-end downtown dining. Free Parking was a nice plus.
Utterly amazing!! I made my reservation for an early dinner. I was coming from out of town and realized early in the afternoon that I wasn’t gonna make it on time. I called and the manager helped me and gave me another reservation, as best he could. When we arrived, everyone was amazing. My dish was amazing (had salmon), reached over to try my mom’s dish (A Genovese) and ended up getting a plate of that as well! After two Limoncello Blushes I was GOOD!! Love the food and the people!
Food and service were great. Very accommodating with a special request for garlic on a dish my wife and I were sharing - made sauce with less garlic and put it on the side (servers suggestion). Steak was perfectly done and so tender you did not need a knife. Don’t miss the flight of flavored limoncellos to end the night
Food was good but pretty overpriced. We were seated in a back corner and there were fruit flies everywhere. We told the server but he kind of brushed it off and didn’t do anything about it.
All the service are very friendly. The waitress was lovely. We ordered the squirting pasta and swordfish and orchierta. It tasted very good!
The atmosphere is wonderful! Very nicely furnished. The menu was tricky to read on my phone. The drink list was a refreshing selection! The appetizer was was a tasty departure from what you normally see at Italian restaurants. The main courses were so good we ate every bite.
Excellent place to hang out with Friends, Family and the like
Excellent food, drink and service! Great for date night or dinner with family or friends.
Food was outstanding. One of Best Salmon ever tasted
We had a wonderful evening, outstanding in every respect. We ate in the outdoor dining area which is beautiful and nicely arranged for comfort and conversation. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. The food was wonderful and the chef happy to accomodate special orders (I had a veal chop and my wife had the Haddock). We enjoyed a fine Barolo wine offered at a discount The gelato for dessert was delicious.
We will surely come back, soon and often
The food was amazing! Very flavorful and beautiful presentation. The large meatball is always a must have for a appetizer.
Nice ambiance. Food was delicious. Our waiter was very polite and attentive. Thank you!
This is our favorite Italian restaurant in Baltimore! The service, the food, the outdoor dining, all perfect!!
Delicious food, excellent service, relaxing and beautiful ambience.
Probably the best dining experience I’ve had in Baltimore in a very long time. Perfectly cooked while branzino for me, and the same with the halibut that my guest enjoyed. I cannot wait to return.
This was my second time here and we had the best time. The service, food, and ambience were amazing. I'll definitely be back!
We had a very friendly chatty waiter. Made good recommendations.
Unique menu. Generous portions. Friendly service.
This place was sooo pretty. Loved the ambiance. Our server was great and attentive. The food was good a little over priced. Overall...my experience was enjoyable.
Delicious fresh food. Nice non-pretentious service. Beautiful atmosphere.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Seated immediately at our reserved time. Very nice decor. Food (veal medallions and salmon) were excellent. Easy to drive to without fighting traffic. 90 minutes free parking in adjacent garage. Look forward to returning.
Great restaurant although the pricing makes it a special-occasions-only kind of place for us
I came here with my family for my graduation lunch and it was amazing! Changed our table size last minute and they were able to accommodate to the larger size. The drinks were delicious and surprisingly strong which was great! The food was very filling and our waitress had great recommendations. If there is one thing you definitely have to get is the limoncello martini and the desserts. We got the tiramisu and limoncello cake - probably one of the best desserts I have had in a while.
Overall: 10/10 no complaints
We felt a little rushed while we were dining but the food wasn’t bad and our waitress was nice. Service did come out very quickly which is always nice. Restaurant decor is really nice.
wonderful meal and service, really enjoyed the appetizers
The food and drinks were good. I think the drinks could of been made a bit faster. The food was done is a reasonable amount of time. The waitress was interactive and nice. The decor is very relaxing and eye appealing. Nothing was overdone or undercooked.
Enjoyed the food and ambiance. Ate outdoors on coveted patio which was very comfortable.
