Love Limoncello. Our after the theatre spot. Always good.
Limoncello was a fun evening with friends celebrating a "big" birthday. I would give all 5 stars except it is way to loud to carry on a conversation.
Friday night, a full house, table in back room next to wall. The noise level was absolutely atrocious we could not converse across the small tableYour obvious success is good for you. Maybe when it’s nice we can eat outdoors.
It wasn’t as good as we had expected for a Greenville top dollar restaurant. The food was mediocre and the waiter was very inattentive. We would not recommend.
The winter pizza was way too garlicky. The vegetables were sparse.
The food simply was not good. Very little flavor in the pasta dishes.
We were very late and they still accommodated us. The service and the food was exceptional! We had great wine and service as well. We will come back for sure.
Going to miss Iris. Might have to find a new place
I was there for my son’s birthday. We ordered lasagna, fettuccini Alfredo, and Salmon. The waitress wasn’t knowledgeable about wine so wasn’t able to make recommendations. The breadbasket had 3 small pieces of bread in it. The lasagna was dry. I was disappointed in the experience.
The restaurant cancelled my reservation after I had checked in, resulting in not getting points from Ipwn Table. I called the restaurant to confirm my attendance and they say they will restore the points. Hope so.
Salmon was good.
We go to Limoncello quite often, especially for date nights. Tonight the service just wasn’t that great, I understand being busy but there would be long stretches of time where we were waiting to order another drink, we decided to forego ordering dessert just because of how slow service was. The appetizers were great but the short rib entree was a little tough and chewy.Overall the experience wasn’t the greatest tonight which was disappointing because we normally love Limoncello. It will probably be a little while before we return to have dinner again. Hoping the next time we go it’s as enjoyable as our previous experiences have been.
The food was amazing!! The outdoor area is beautiful! Waited a bit for food and not a huge place, but totally worth it.
Their calamari was to die for! Melts in your mouth! The best I’ve ever had. Meatballs were superb! The pistachio gelato was exceptional! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and Jes our server gave us complimentary desserts. She was very sweet. I only gave 4 stars for the food coz I expected too much from their bolognese. It was average. I should’ve ordered a different pasta. Next time! Other than that everything else was perfect!
Very disappointed. My wife had been there for dinner and was pleased before. However, our experience on Sunday was poor. The waitress very very slow, did not bring us any bread. Both pasta dishes were way over cooked. The spaghetti sauce tasted like it was from a jar or a can. The capellini had too much lemon. We have been to the other Larkin’s restaurants before and we’re always very satisfied. We were surprised to see that we and one other couple were the only ones there for lunch. Seems something was amiss on this visit or has been for a while. Don’t plan to go back.
The majority of the food was good although the angel hair pasta in the capellini was over cooked. The service was amazing and the dessert was incredible.
We were there for pre-theater dinner. The service and food were excellent.
We were in Greenville for.the Furman VMI football game and made reservations at Limoncello Italian restaurant. My wife and I started by sharing the antipasti served.on a cutting block. Two meats, salami and prosciutto, three local cheeses, aromatic and strong flavored, olives and spicy pickled, fresh wiggles. This entire course was excellent, especially the cheeses. There was enough to share, that we ordered a pizza to share. Pizza was about 10’’ in size and we had fennel sausage added. Thin crust was flavorful an crisp. House made Italian Ice rounded out our meal perfectly.
Reservations, at least on Friday nights are a must. We will be going back next time in Greenville.
We went before a show at the peace center, and after asking for a recommendation between the Lasagna and Chicken Alfredo off of the theatre menu, 3/4 of our party went with the recommended Alfredo. I got the lasagna which was satisfactory, but the Alfredo was disappointing. I tried my husbands dish and while the chicken was at least warm, the pasta was below room temp and had no taste at all. The back room of the restaurant also looks tacky; the overall experience is not what I expected from a Larkins restaurant. The bright spot was our good service, but that was the best part of our experience.
We had a lovely meal before our show at the Peace Center. The food was delicious and the service was great.
The waitress forgot my wine until reminded, the pasta was cold and undercooked.
Pasta less than el dente. We were definitely not rushed but it took way to long to get drinks appetizers then meals.
must have had a bad night. Service very slow, food over cooked. Off of our list for return.
Slow, slow service coupled with just warm dried food....miserable combo. Won't be going back!
The meal was great. I enjoyed their lasagna which was tasty and a large portion
Good food and service. Great place for dinner before a show at Center Stage.
Pizza was good, salmon was good. Lasagna was terrible - very dry. Waiter seemed to be new. Knew we had to be at Centre Stage by 7, we arrived at 5:30 and didn't get our meal til 6:15.
Our party of four were celebrating a birthday. Our reservations were at 6:30. We started by ordering 2 appetizers and drinks. When our server came to take our dinner order, we had been sitting for a while with empty drinks and eaten all our food by then. By 8:30 we still had not received our dinner. We ordered lasagna, pizza and mussels. We watched as the tables around us had been seated after us and were eating and wonder where our food was. Our server said a couple times our food was coming out but by this time, we called for the manager. We had our food packaged to go and left. It was not a great birthday dinner.
I don’t think our food traveled well. The lasagna was dry and the pizza was terrible.
Very average food, very slow service, low value for price. Desserts were low quality.
The waitress could have been more attentive. They were not busy. Food was terrific. Good wine pours. And gluten free options.
There is a nice variety of items on the menu, and the location is convenient for a meal before a show.
Everything was excellent - would definitely recommend. Food was delicious! Only thing I did not care for was the sports tv over the bar - but I know alot of people like this.
What a mistake it was to book LIMONCELLO for my husband's Birthday dinner!!! Our Birthday dinner turned out to be disappointment because of limited choice, quality of food and the value. The place is new and clean, nice view from windows, but it is far from authentic italian restaurants. So, those who go to LIMONCELLO and pay THAT price for this strange food, probably never been in Italy, or at least USA North, where Italian food tastes good and real.
Each three of us barely ate half of our portions. Fried calamari we had for starter were heavily breaded and greasy. My husband's mussels were overcooked tasteless and shrunk inside shells. My pasta with lobster meat, kale and butternut squash turned out a mix of ingredients, which do not go together. And son's mozzarella panini - bread was falling apart and the cheese was rubbery and chewy.
Definitely, NO GO! Waste of money!
Had lunch on a Saturday. Was surprised to see the same menu for lunch as dinner. Makes for an expensive lunch! Might be why there was only 1 other table in the restaurant. Food always good however.
We had made reservations to celebrate our daughter's birthday. We even called the day before to make sure they had our name, and asked if they could bring something out for dessert. They were great on the phone and said they would bring a piece of cake out with Happy Birthday written on it.
When we arrived and gave our name, 2 hosts looked confused and couldn't find our name. Another guy came over and sat us at a table in the middle of the restaurant. I asked if we could please move to one of the 2 open booths. He said he would go check. He quickly came back and said, no, those were for people that had reservations. I told him we made reservations two weeks prior, but he ignored my comments and said sorry as he walked away. The worst part is there was an open booth the entire time we were there, and the restaurant was half empty, still not sure why he wouldn't change our table.
Our waiter was polite, but after taking our initial order we didn't see him much. I whispered to my wife that we better check with him about the cake, because I was almost sure the host didn't tell him. Sure enough he knew nothing about it. He did bring out a piece of cake for her, and was very nice when he delivered it. However, the plate didn't say happy birthday on it as they had told us on the phone, nothing like their photos shown under other reviews.
Every restaurant has a culture. This one seems to have hard workers but they seem disconnected from their guests. This was an 18th bday celebration and we wanted it to be a very memorable night. It quickly became a night where we wished we went somewhere else. You never felt like a welcomed guest here, let alone hoping they made your experience memorable.
If you are going for a casual meal, it may be okay for you. However, I would never recommend spending a special occasion here, just not personal enough!!!
First visit! REALLY good food! Outstanding service! Our table was by the door, so a little loud and drafty. Next time we will request a table away from front door. Also - recommend doing the gelato as an option to go. We were too full from dinner and were told we couldn’t take it to go.
Server and hostess were outstanding. Food was served promptly, and was very tasty. The next time I'm in the area I will prioritize coming in again!
Great table and the food was perfect. Our waitress was excellent too. Just a guy seated at the bar seemed drunk and very loud and saying the F word several times. Someone should have removed him
