Can’t wait to come back.
I was excited to try based on the reviews and all of the gluten free options. However I was disappointed with the gluten free pasta Alfredo. The chicken was good, but the pasta was sticky & the sauce was tasteless. I asked if adding mushrooms to the dish would be an option, but they do not have mushrooms. I thought this odd for an Italian restaurant who serves pasta & pizza. They did bring a dish of broccolini to the table since they did not have mushrooms and this was the best part of the meal. They have a bar inside, but they could not make a mojito. However, the outside seating area was lovely.
The food was delicious! I had the fettuccine Alfredo with salmon. The house salad and tiramisu was outstanding. The noise level inside was louder than I like. I think sitting outside would be ideal.
We had an amazing night thanks to our server, Kaylee.
Food was ok. I was hoping for more options on the dinner menu. Service was outstanding. Loved the atmosphere and location.
Just had dinner with friends, asked ahead of time about restaurant and was warned about overall experience and that it was mediocre.
Given the reputation that Larkin’s has I was surprised at the quality of service and although we tipped nicely as usual the attention was lacking.
Happy hour was not as advertised in that you had to be actually sitting at bar to get bar menu before dinner??
Waiter wasn’t concentrating on us because I think he was handling too many tables.
The food was fine but not exciting as we thought it might be, second time our guests have been although it’s been sometime since they had been said it was still not impressive for them.
The restaurant seemed understaffed and management seemed not to be concerned?!?!
Nice location, nice building and venue but overall the experience not great which is too bad.
With all the great restaurants in town to choose from it’s a shame.
Food and service wasn’t how I expected...
We were Completely neglected by our server from the beginning, we waited for a whole 50 minutes, my husband never received his drink, we didn’t get our drinks refill at all, no salads no soup just completely ignored the whole time! They definitely ruined my Mother’s Day lunch!!! Thank you very much!!! Oh and they were not even busy at all, I will not recommend this place to anyone!
This was our 3rd or 4th time at Limoncello and most likely our last. The ambiance is great but the food not exceptional for the price and this time the service was far below what we've come to expect from a Larkin's establishment.
I have been there twice. Both times the noise level was very high, hard to have a conversation. Last visit was an early dinner, 6:30 PM, and they were already out of the first three menu choices we made...The food we did have was very good, but this is not the place for a quiet, relaxing meal. Would have asked for an outside table to avoid the din indoors, but rain was imminent.
They were out of the first two entrees. Waitress did not bother to tell us in advance. Also out of wine we ordered. Not a great experience.
Several items on menu were not available but we were not told until we ordered one of them. Mussels were not good-
Waitress was very charming. She just didn’t have much to work with. Acoustics were horrible. Couldn’t hear the server and she couldn’t hear us.
Average at best.
Had the Bolognese and it was salty and tasted like hamburger helper. The portions were tiny. Selection was small and limited. The drink I order was good as was the Gelato for desert. But that was about it for the cuisine. The wait person was ok, but the room was loud. The table rocked back and forth. Honestly I have been to better Olive Gardens than this restaurant. There are much better Italian restaurant in Greenville. Within walking distance.
This was our third trip to the restaurant and while they couldn’t find our reservation, we were seated immediately. This was a huge relief as we arrived 30 minutes early and were starving! Lol! Good food, great service!
Limoncello is a great dining experience. They have changed their menu for the summer season and everything looks good. What we ate was delicious! We enjoyed having Dylan serve us and seeing our friends in managing and serving.
The filet medallions were delicious. The italian creme cake was also very good. I expected more of the fettuccine though -- there wasn't anything special about it. The service was excellent and welcoming.
On arriving we were asked if we would like indoor or outdoor seating? Choosing to be seated outdoors with the music added making our experience more outstanding.
We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful evening at Limoncello. On a beautiful night we sat outside so I cannot comment on the interior dining room. The outside however was spacious and while we sat on a table near the road the noise wasn't distracting. The primary reason we went to Limoncello was because of their attention to gluten free offerings as each of the Larkin restaurants so carefully prepare. With two in our group intolerant to gluten this was very important. The dishes we had were quite varied from pastas to pizza and everyone enjoyed immensely. This happened to be the first night of a new menu so while we prepped on line in advance, the menu was not noticeably different with many of the same dishes available or a better alternative. We each would highly recommend Limoncello and plan to return.
The food was great and the service was superb. We will surely go again.
Service was slow, but the food was incredible. I think we had a new server, so hopefully this will be improved over time!
The food was delicious. But the noise was way too loud! We could barely hear each other. We had to repeat everything we said to be heard. My husband and I were treating some college graduates to dinner before they went home to their families. We were looking forward to a nice quiet dinner. We had always loved going to Limoncello for the food, service, and ambience in the past. But not now. We won’t go back.
Our first time at this restaurant and we found the food and service very good and we ate on a table outside in a lawn area.
We had a party of 4. Everyone enjoyed the food. I especially liked the salmon picata.
One of our favorite spots in Greenville, great outside seating, food is always on point, our waiter Dillon/Dylan was outstanding, very knowledgable on the wine side of things
We both had salads and ordered a pizza to share. No one offered us a bread basket, but every table around us had one. Salads and pizza were good but not memorable. Problems developed when we asked for coffee. Our first cups were cold, so my husband sent them back. Second cups were passable but the server never asked. When we finished those, we asked for more and got cold coffee yet again. A big yuck. Don’t know why it wasn’t possible to get HOT coffee.
fun good quiet
Food was okay. ‘Head server or manager’ came over to ask how our dinner was, was on girls trip so he asked us what we were celebrating and we therefore asked him a few questions and you could tell he exaggerates his answers and was just obnoxious.
Great food, beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff. Food came out quickly
EXCELLENT service from our waitress! Clams and mussels were delicious as well as the bread they brought to the table. We were initially turned away, but after making a quick reservation we were able to be seated. A bit turned off by being turned away due to “not wanting to overload the servers”, but it ended well. The tiramisu was DIVINE! I’d go back, but only with a reservation to avoid the awkwardness of being turned away (even though the place wasn’t crowded at all).
Love the green space dining. The cuisine is 5 star, service is excellent, location great all within a reasonable price point.
We visited Limoncello for the first time with a large group of friends and were very pleased with our experience. We specifically chose Limoncello because of their expansive selection of gluten-free menu options since we had a friend with severe celiac disease. The food was delicious, and our friend was thrilled with both the selection and quality of the gluten-free options. Our servers were very accommodating and the ambiance was great. Another fabulous restaurant in the Larkin's family of businesses. We will definitely be back!
First time to visit Limoncello. Our server was good and very attentive, although splattered olive oil on one of our party. The food we ordered was very good. Will go back.
Amazing staff and food. They surprised me and my fiancé with a complimentary dessert as well for our engagement/wedding upcoming. Awesome place—one of our favorites in Greenville!
I saw a lot of negative reviews about the service at Limoncello so I was hesitant to make a reservation for a night we were going to the Peace Center, but the Saturday night we were there the service was excellent and very attentive, the food was also excellent. We plan to go back.
The food and service were great. We will definitely return.
Dining out with friends before the theater on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately and offered something to drink from the bar. We got our cocktails then ordered an appetizer. Spent time eating and drinking and talking with friends. We had initially told our server that we needed to be out by 7:30 to make our seats at the theater. She then managed our entree, desert and brought the check in an appropriate amount of time to pay, and get out to the valet, without rushing. The food was very good but not special. Both couples had pizzas and salads which were also very good.
Overall we had a good experience, and would go back to try some of their entrees.
Had an absolutely wonderful meal Saturday evening before the Peace Center performance. The Limoncello Ultimate pizza with lobster, truffle oil and mushrooms was amazing, as was the house recipe Sausage Lasagna. The Shrimp & Prosecco Capellini was light, flavorful, & perfectly cooked. Everything was so flavorful & filling we almost passed on dessert... so glad we didn’t. The Lemon Almond Torts was divine. But the highlight of the night was their Tiramisu... all agreed the best we have ever had! The only complaint we have is their valet parking closes at 10:00 instead of staying open until after the Peace Center performances end. That needs to change. Despite that inconvenience, we will be back.
Awesome experience. Highly recommend.
Our group of 8 had dinner at Limoncello prior to attending a play at the Peace Center. Our server was aware that we had tickets and got us all wrapped up in time to make the play. Everyone enjoyed their food from the baked lasagna to the chicken pizza. Desserts were big enough for two to share and were all good! Our server, Julieanne, was obviously experienced and very accommodating.
