We cater to serving Dinner prior to evening performances, as well as a Social Brunch Buffet prior to matinee performances, it is perhaps most popular for a quick intermission cocktail.

Join us on Friday and Saturdays for post service serving small bites, desserts, and cocktails after the shows.

Grab a drink and bring it straight to your seats (for Buell, Ellie, and Boettcher guests)

Quality of food at Limelight was formerly good but has slipped a bit, judging by a recent pre-show meal last Thursday night. Our starter of artisinal meats and cheeses offered little variety, just many slices of the same cured meat--and the meat was nothing special. It also came with two minute servings of undistinguished cheese. Some sour-tasting pickled green beans and slices of unpleasantly dry white bread (bread was not grilled, just dry) rounded out the offering. The dressing on our green salad was unpleasantly sweet. Green salads should not be sweet--let's save that for dessert! The pasta in my husband's seafood pasta was overcooked and the sauce marred by too many sundried tomatoes. Not a terrible meal but with a little care, it could have been much better.

We had a wonderful meal at Limelight Supper Club the other night. The service was outstanding, including our waitress, Taylor. She was efficient, personable, and genuine, perfect. The short rib was the best we've ever ordered. I will be recommending Limelight to friends and family.

We were early for our reservation and they seated us early.. Our server was excellent and the food was very good. Normally when you order a salad and add chicken, shrimp or salmon, the portions are very small and it's not fresh. Our Caesar Salads were served with Salmon and Chicken and it was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection and excellent flavor. We'll be back

This rating is hard for me to give, but I have to go by the 3 times we've had dinner here before the symphony. The first time, a couple years ago, they actually delivered our dinners to the wrong table, and we waited for over an hour, and barely made it on time. Last year, everything was very good. But this Saturday night we arrived before 6, they had a total of 7 entrees, and were already out of 2 of them (of course, the 2 we ordered). The other entrees were all meat. The appetizers we ended up ordering were good, but how can you be out of 1/3 of your entrees before 6 p.m. on a Saturday night?

You can’t beat being so close to the theater! We were dining with an elderly couple and we didn’t have to worry about the weather or how far they would have to walk. The noise level was moderate so that we were able to have nice conversation while we ate.
Plus the food is delicious! We topped off our meal with an absolutely wonderful chocolate cake. As always the service was very good.

We dined at Limelight Supper Club & Lounge in advance of attending the Opera (Marriage of Figaro). The food was quite tasty, and the recommendations from the server were welcome (especially the dessert special).

And, while our server was quite friendly, service overall could use improvement. Front of the house was very slow - we were second in line when we arrived. By the time we were seated (5 minutes later), there were 7 parties behind us. They needed at least two individuals manning the front of the house.

There were insufficient staff in the dining area. The servers were attentive, but I noted individuals waiting for refills of water or iced tea, and our appetizer/salad dishes were not removed before our entree arrived.

We will return, as it's a very convenient location for the opera, ballet, musicals, etc. - and the food was good. The service needs to match the quality of the venue and the food (particularly for a Kevin Taylor establishment).

Service was terrible although the server apologized over and over and offered compensation for her errors and slowness in service. It was simply too busy a night with the Kentucky Derby parties crowding the DCPA, but we did ultimately get the dinners we ordered and make it to the opera on time.

Limelight accommodated our extra guests so we had five persons on a four person reservation with no problem. We wanted to sit on the patio to watch the Derby Day revelry and had an excellent table and view with wonderful tapas and great service from our waitress, who made her own fascinator!

The lamb was raw. Not med rare. I am serious. RAW. One would expect a Kevin Taylor chef to know how to cook lamb. Server spilled our wine twice all over the table. Horrible experience all in all.

The buffet was ridiculously bad. Hot foods were cold, the guy serving the prime rib gave such small serving you’d thought he was handing out gold, the grilled potatoes were soggy and tough. The selection was very limited. And the cost was way out of line, way too expensive. I’d have gladly paid the same amount or more for a decent meal and a bit of class like we used to get from the Limelight. From now on we’ll be finding another restaurant for our pre-theater meal.

We were seeing a musical next door and thought this would be a nice convenient spot. Convenient yes. Nice not so much. I ordered medium rare steak for $30+ and it was brought out well done and when I pointed it out they corrected it by bringing a rare steak that was nicely seared but... not good.

Everything felt like we were eating dinner at a wedding...

That’s all I have to say.

I had not been there for a while and was surprised at the buffet style service. We ate before the ballet and the buffet was just right. The food was excellent but the service left much to be desired. It was not up to the usual standard. Would have to rate it a "D". The lady's restroom left much to be desired, I was told. The men's was OK.

Great way to spend time with friends and family before a show. They have gluten free items, but they become contaminated due to lack of serving ware (Example: customers used bread server for fruit because they were next to each other on the table and there were no spoons for the fruit). Excellent server. The brunch had a good variety.

Our meals were very good but the service was disappointing. After we arrived I counted five other tables near us who arrived after us and were served before we were; and in fact at least one finished their dinner and departed before we were served. In all, it took exactly one hour from our arrival time to be served our meals. When we finally complained to our waiter and to (who appeared to be) a sous chef, they got our meal out in 5 minutes saying the kitchen must have lost our ticket. Frankly our waiter should have been on top of this, checking on our order periodically.
