Limelight Supper Club & Lounge
We cater to serving Dinner prior to evening performances, as well as a Social Brunch Buffet prior to matinee performances, it is perhaps most popular for a quick intermission cocktail.
Join us on Friday and Saturdays for post service serving small bites, desserts, and cocktails after the shows.
Grab a drink and bring it straight to your seats (for Buell, Ellie, and Boettcher guests)
The thing about limelight is it is approximately 20 feet from the entrance to the Buell Theatre. You can check your leftovers from limelight at the Buell Theatre coat check. You can bring drinks you purchase at limelight into the video. The food is good, maybe four out of five stars. They never answer their phone. You are able to walk in unless it’s a super high popularity shell.
OUR DINING EXPERIENCE WAS EXCEPTIONALLY ENJOYABLE IN EVERY WAY.
I ENJOYED SHARING IT WITH MY DAUGHTER, WHO WAS VISITING FROM OUT OF TOWN.
I love Limelight so much! It is currently my favorite restaurant and has been for awhile! I am always looking for excuses to go! I even have a favorite server and I love how the staff recognizes me as a regular.
The hostess was very friendly, but our server, Mira, was awful! She was rude, impersonal and acted like we were inconveniencing her when we asked for anything. After she complained and got rude when we asked for a cappuccino after our meals I had enough and asked for the manager. The manager, Matt, was extremely professional and apologetic. He took care of us for the remainder of our time and went above and beyond to take care of us. I was never planning on returning to this restaurant because of the terrible experience with Mira, but Matt was so awesome that we will definitely be returning. The food was delicious and highly recommended. If you get sat in Mira's section I highly suggest you request another server to be able to enjoy your food.
It was conveniently located next to the theater. But it was very overpriced airport food. Our server was funny and kind. It was a good evening at the ballet with my kids regardless. Just will not be going back here ever again.
Very convenient for the theatre. The Short Rib is always good. This time the Salmon was a little dry.
Always love Limelight before the show. We had an ESPECIALLY good meal there Saturday night. Love new menu items--try the Nashville Hot Chicken. It's better than Nashville!
Service and food were very good. A great place before attending an event.
Fun dining before a show!
Pre theater brunch. Nice selection of food. And a very good Bloody Mary! The women’s rest room could really use a deep cleaning
Even tho we didn't get "OUR" regular window seat, BRIAN MADE IT RIGHT. LOVE the new busssel sprouts and king mushrooms! nice addition!
Limelight used to be a staple for great food before the theater. It has greatly declined in both food and service. Squeezing disabled patrons into the back of a crowded restaurant and then trying to navigate the buffet was terrible. Food was cold, service was slow. Disappointed overall the last 2 visits we’ve made.
Super slow service, mediocre food. I would never go back even though it is right across from the theatre.
the best part about the Limelight is that it is right across from the Buell theater so you can have either lunch or dinner before or after the performance. The food is good as is the service although it can slow down when the post theater crowd fills all the tables. There is also outdoor dinning and/or drinking available. The people watching is also a plus
Hummus is beautifully prepared and delicious. The menu is varied and the roasted chicken is delicious. My husband had the seafood pasta which he enjoyed. We really enjoy having dinner here before going to a play.
Fortunately, we had an early reservation before our show. It got very crowded and the service from the kitchen was slowed down. The servers were apologetic and a discount was applied. Although the price might be slightly higher, you pay for location. You can't beat it. Also, my cocktail, the Manager's Mule, was delicious! Our server was great and appreciated our patience. We weren't anxious and just enjoyed ourselves and the meal. We definitely will eat there again.
We were there for a matinee show. I was disappointed that it was a brunch we couldn't order from the regular menu. I am not a big brunch person. I have eaten there before and loved it, reg. menu.
We've been coming here before shows for years, and always enjoyed it, but I was disappointed to see that the menu, which used to be updated frequently with seasonal and local favorites, has not changed in more than a year. Service was really good, but we were warned that the kitchen was slow because they've been short-staffed for six weeks. I didn't find the kitchen to be excessively slow, but we were there with plenty of buffer time. I was, frankly, disappointed with my seafood pasta, and felt that the price to value for that dish was not great, but the short rib my companion had was as excellent as ever. We were warned that their dessert menu was severely abridged because they were out of a lot, and I found that disappointing, also. I hope this is a short-term adjustment, and that they're soon back to the restaurant that makes our theater experience that much more convenient and enjoyable.
We always stop here before shows at DCPA. Good food, good service and SO convenient. Also like the fact that you can take your drink over to Buell, or take your doggie bag back to your car if you park at the DCPA garage. Convenient, pleasant and good. What more do you need!
We normally like having a nice dinner here and has been pretty good, but the food was terrible this time, dry, cold and not cooked correct try. Service was great.
Limelight is convenient and good for a quick dinner before the theater.
The ease of being right across from the Buell Theater made the experience worth it. Our waiter was fine the truffle fries were great, it was expensive for what you got.
The food was just average with above-average prices. The cocktails, however, were great.
Limelight is so GOOD! The service and food are just great and it is so convenient for the DCPA. It would be nice if it was an undiscovered gem but it isn’t and tyhat is what makes it so good.
So lame. I got a confirmation of reservation and showed up at the restaurant and it was closed for the week.
The food was disgusting, like nursing home food. Zero flavor, no cooking technique, no imagination.
Perfect venue for brunch before the Sunday matinee at Buell.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had brunch before the matinee show and the staff understands the need to be timely. My daughters and I had a relaxing time together.
Nice place for dinner prior to show. We would do thus again for show at theatre.
Birthday & anniversary. Dessert ordered was not available. The manager comped us another dessert & made it special with candles & fun sing song!
The quality of the food has improved greatly since the last time we tried the weekend brunch.
Great service (Thanks Bryan), got my Manhattan recipe (Thanks Dan). Good service. I've always enjoyed our meals. Never had a problem.
Our group of five enjoys at the Limelight eating at the Light prior to attending the Buell Theater performances.
Always a lovely place to go before taking in a show at the Buell Theater. Our server was engaging, friendly and helpful. The food is always good. It is great to have 15 minutes until curtain and still make it to my seat with 5 minutes to spare. Thanks!
It's a wonderful place to eat before a performance at DCPA. You can park in the garage early, eat a nice meal, see the performance and get out of the parking garage quickly.
It's convenient... Part of the experience. A good first date. But expensive for what the food is. The staff is always great. I kinda feel bad for them cause the kitchen gets backed up and you have to rush to eat a $120 dinner for 2 to get to the show. 20 year subscriber here. Would only recommend as a first date to keep things simple.
Fun! My son and I ate here before seeing Willy Wonks. Loved it. Brunch buffet.
We took our 11 year old granddaughter to dinner at Limelight prior to a show at the Buell. We had heard that it could take two hours, so we went early (5:30 for a 7:30 curtain.). The place was empty when we arrived, but by 6:15 p.m. had filled considerably. Although we had heard that the quality of the food and service could be spotty, everything was terrific. Our waitperson, Faith, could not have been more attentive or friendly. My husband’s chicken was excellent. My salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our granddaughter had a baked brie appetizer which was wonderful and she loved her entree (from the kids’ menu which she requested). The Caesar salad was crisp and nicely dressed and our creme brûlée dessert was decadent. We left the restaurant at 7:00 p.m., in time to get into the theatre, enjoy the time looking around, and getting seated right before the show. We do not drink, so there were no cocktails nor wine on our bill ... The total with tip was $132, which seemed quite reasonable for a lovely dinner for three. We had been going to a different restaurant regularly before each theatre experience, but Limelight is where we’ll go from this point on.
So convenient for dinner before the show at DCPA. Reservations easy and table was ready when we arrived. Service was excellent and although menu choices somewhat limited all food was good. Would definitely come back.
Going to the theater.
