Our Stanley, Idaho restaurant is open to guests, as well as the public. If you’re looking for local fare and a friendly atmosphere, come to enjoy our selection of dining options. On the main level of the rustic lodge, you’ll taste a true Idaho mountain brand of comfort food – a cuisine that will pleasantly surprise you in this remote and rugged country. We start with as much local Idaho grown ingredients as we can, then add our own blend of flavors from the Northwest’s wild resources. We specialize in trout, wild game, and other regional favorites. Our Stanley, Idaho restaurant also carries wines from acclaimed local, domestic, and international producers. Overall experience was fantastic. I felt there must have been a recent price increase not reflected on the online menu. The sirloin increased $12.00 on the restaurant menu. We go there for the ambiance, not the prices but the webmeister needs to do some updating.

Love the ambiance of the old Redfish Lodge. The hostess very friendly and the waitress was nice. The trout and the special pork shank were cooked well and tasted delicious.

My wife and I had dinner reservations for 7:00 on Friday. My wife ordered the chicken plate, and I ordered the prime rib plate. I ordered a medium rare cut of prime rib and explained to the waitress that if they didn’t have medium rare to let me know and I would change my order. She told me “no problem” and left. When we were served, my prime rib was well done. I pointed this out to the waitress and she took my plate to get a medium rare cut. After around 20 minutes the waitress returned with my dinner – it was a completely different meal than I had ordered – no prime rib and no fingerling potatoes. When I asked the waitress about the new meal she didn’t even realize it wasn’t prime rib. The meat that was given was blue-rare and served with mashed potatoes. My wife’s chicken was fair, but very dry. It has been several years since I’ve received this poor of service or food. I would not eat at Limbert’s again even if staying at the resort.

I’ve been going to Limbert’s for years, the service and atmosphere is always fantastic. This year the appetizer portion size seems much smaller. The menu options are less as well. 3 of us ordered the special, 2 came out cold, one was at a great temperature. They did take care of the issue and warmed our meals. The overall flavor wasn’t what I would consider normal of Limbert’s. It was the most disappointing meal I’ve ever had there. Maybe it was just an off night but at the current prices I’d expect warm meals and better flavor. I’ll still be back.

We’re locals. We stopped at Smiley Creek for a quick bite before spending a few nights camping. They could have cared less about us and we left after about 3-4 red flags. Arrive Redfish next day. We took the boat to the other side to hike. The service at the dock and the driver were the polar opposite of Smiley Creek. Amazing people!! Then dinner. EXCELLENT service from the lovely hostess to our waitress, to the bussers. Food simply delicious. This was 06/18. Good restaurants start with great management. Thank you Redfish!!

This evening was to celebrate our wedding anniversary-they made sure we liked our table before seating us. There was a good choice of wines by the glass and bottle. My husband had a pasta dish with homemade sauce and homemade pasta, which was delicious. The roasted red pepper soup was also delicious. We shared a spring salad which was generous, with excellent vinaigrette. My meal was a ricotta gnocchi dish with wild local mushrooms, which was extraordinary.
