One of the best meals ever! Authentic and delicious!
Excelente! Food was amazing, and the service unparalleled. A great find, and a place I will visit as often as possible
Must try the ceviche. Service was slow but the owner was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return.
The food and service was outstanding.
We sat for 30 minutes with water and a minuscule piece of bread for 4 without a server coming to the table. Completely understaffed. Loud music, nice ambience, zero service. We walked out.
Great food and live music was amazing ♡
Authentic food. Singer with electric piano. Nice owner. Good garlicky ceviche. Casual feel yet a little pricey. They let you have a lot of time to talk, if you’re wanting that. If not, prepare for a longer than typical wait for food.
Simply the best Ceviche in DFW! A very friendly atmosphere, with nice decor. The empanada is delicious, much closer to the Argentinian ones (the best) than the Mexican ones, that are more common in Texas. Kids loved it! The entrees were also very good. We will return, for sure!
The best Peruvian food in Dallas just in “Lima Taverna”
My wife and I enjoyed the most authentic peruvian food I have found in the Northern Hemisphere yet. Still not quite what you'd actually get in Lima, but very good and very authentic. Service was good, food was well prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return!
Our supper club enjoyed a TERRIFIC meal. The food is truly spectacular. This was our second visit. It’s very leisurely. The owner is so friendly and passionate about the food. By the time he finishes explaining the dishes you want to try them all!
The actual service needs improvement. The one young lady trying to do all of the table waiting needs help. She is overwhelmed. Service was inattentive and slow. She was spread too thin. But she was very sweet.
Tonight there was live music. The musicians were excellent and enjoyable but LOUD. Suddenly it was hard to hear the other people at my table. I wish they had played less.
Prices are reasonable for a authentic native restaurant using quality ingredients. Most entrees are $19. We shared an appetizer and shared a dessert. We drank an entire jar of the amazing Peruvian juice they make. Our bill was still about $74 before tip for two.
I will keep coming back because the food is just that superb.
Great food, great people.
Great place for dinner. The service and attention from the staff was fantastic. We had a large group for wine BYOB dinner. Food was very good and staff took the time to explain all the unique foods they serve that have Peruvian style. Will go back soon.
Different food. All delicious. Service was great. Owner even came over for a conversation. Definitely a treat. Will return.
Very Fresh food and autentic, service Excellent. Best Peruvian Restaurant.
The Ceviche was outstanding also the jalea. We have been in the Lima Taberna several times, and have enjoyed it very much.
The service was great!
It is hard to find the restaurant in the shopping center it is located as the directions takes you acroos the street.
We loved it!
Outstanding in every aspect. This place just jumped to the top of our lists. We definitely will be back and are telling our friends.
Best Peruvian Restaurant in Dallas, Ceviche, Lomo Saltado and Pescado a lo Macho all the best. Fresh and quality ingredients.
Food was amazing and the staff were very friendly.
2/14
It took too long.
Several people left before dessert was served
Unfortunately, the restaurant was practically empty, even on a Saturday night. So there was no ambiance. The service was sketchy at best and most of the wait staff were hard to understand. The menu was small with very few choices, especially for our 10-year-old child. The food was less than average and barely warm. So I don't think we will be back or recommending this restaurant to anyone else!
Great food. Owner came out and explained dishes and history of Peruvian food. Great restaurant. Undiscovered gem.
We had a fabulous date there... the food and service was absolutely marvelous... I was not sure what to expect as we have never had Peruvian food.
Our server took time to make good recommendations and they were wonderful... I really enjoyed the desserts too
This is my first review and one I am happy to recommend to all in Plano... I will be going back again
We had reservations and never got seated. They were grossly understaffed and no one spoke English to explain why. It is so new that there are price tags on the TVs still from the stores. I'd wait a few months before trying to come at night on a weekend. Maybe they will staff up by then.
The food was great, the service almost non existent.
We were five friends meeting for lunch and only one of us had been to Lima Taverna - it was the first time the rest of us had had Peruvian food, and everything was delicious. I had the Chaufa de Pollo, which was a stir fry of chicken, rice onions and soy. The friend who had been there goes here regularly and always has the Ensalada de Quinua and raves about it. Another had the Seco de Carne, which was like a beef stew with a really good sauce. The clear soup with vegetables was very good and another friend who tried the empanadas said they were excellent. We topped the meal off with bread pudding or cookies and all of us agreed we would be back.
We enjoy dining at the Lima Taverna. It is a very pleasant dining environment and the Pisco sours are terrific. It has a very friendly service and the management is attentive and eager to please. It has the potential of being a hot spot in town if they continue to provide the terrific latin music like the one we listened to last Saturday night. The appetizers are original and tasty with enough variety for those willing to try original Peruvian dishes. The entrees, the tallarines verdes con asado saltado was disappointing. Several of our friends tried it and found them lacking. The meat sauce does not blend well with spinach and basil creamy sauce. The Loma Saltado, the tenderloin preparation was not up to par. However the desserts are excellent; the bread pudding and flan are original and terrific. We will come back. The Peruvian cuisine is remarkable and hardly known in the area and if Lima Taverna continues to offer tasty Peruvian dishes we will be back for sure
Fantastic food! Really authentic and well seasoned. The Lucina flan is the best!
Great service, very friendly. Food was her goid, and was made fresh. Drinks were really good and portions were perfect fgor lunch. Prices were reasonable as well. Will recommend this place to others
Peruvian food is an exciting and tasty cuisine taking the world by storm. If you are new to Peruvian food try the Ceviche, Lomo Saltado or Arroz con pollo. Add a Pisco Sour cocktail to start the evening and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Lima Taverna and the great food. Owner and restauranteur Eliseo Figueroa will make you feel welcome and take great care of you!
