Peruvian
Lima Restaurant is a representation of the gastronomic expansion that has taken place in Peru over the last few years. The idea is to showcase Lima to San Diego as the gastronomic capital of the Americas.

Our Cuisine: Peruvian cuisine is a fusion of different cultures which have come together to form a distinctive blend of flavors and techniques. With the arrival of European and Asian immigrants centuries ago, their ingredients and customs intertwined over the decades with those of the locals, creating what is known as Peruvian cuisine.

We named our restaurant after Peru’s capital, Lima, which is also the word for “lemon” in Spanish. The country’s largest city is where all the dishes of regional Peru come together. We look forward to sharing our cuisine with you!

Our Story: The opening of Lima Restaurant represents a longtime dream of Restaurateur Javier Granda. His new culinary proposal, Lima Peruvian Food & Cocktails is located in the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter.

We had the "Three Kings" and Ceviches Mixtos. Absolutely delicious! Also, we had the best Pisco sours we've ever had north of the equator! My girlfriend and I had visited Peru a few months back and totally adored the food, among other things. Ever since then, we have been checking out all the local Peruvian restaurants in San Diego county. I must say this place is pretty indicative of the awesome food we had in Cusco and Lima. Looking forward to coming back for more!

We were one of the two tables in the restaurant that evening (between 7 and 8:30). Food was good and service was very nice. We all enjoyed the food, some of which was very different food....and that was what we came for. Great location and Lima has great potential. It just needs to be discovered.

What a gem...this restaurant has some of the best food in San Diego. Although, most people aren’t that familiar with Peruvian food, it’s a cuisine I think most Americans will love.

The ceviche is exquisite and the lomo saltado is super yummy. The Pisco Sours were just right.

Only has been opened for 25 days. Good food. Owner came to talk to us. I commented that they need to make the place feel like Peru, as now it feels like an American restaurant. They are planning to do so.

Amazing restaurant! The food was exquisite and we got a chance to meet the owners who are so sweet and put so much love and passion into their restaurant. I highly recommend! I ordered the Lomo Saltado which was absolutely delicious and cooked so well. The service was also perfect! Will be back!

Delicious food and friendly efficient service. We will definitely go back. The causa was recommended by our Uber driver and it was excellent. We ordered ceviche mixto and the cilantro beef stew. The flavors were great. It was my husband’s birthday so they gave us a free dessert with a candle. Everything was beautifully plated. Javier, the owner/manager was so nice and made sure we had a good experience.
