Food was good. Only downfall is the millions of flys
I would recommend to come when it’s not your lunch hour. It took longer than expected. The staff was hospitable, and kind. The food was fantastic!!! Even the tap water! Lol Go support!
The servers are outstanding . They are all friendly and accommodating .
The food is fresh fresh fresh !
It’s a fun and quirky atmosphere .. in a good way !
Great cocktails, great food, great service, great business plan, great night!
We had a fantastic evening at Lily's. Although the food took some time to come out, they were super apologetic and gave us a specialty ice cream, which more than compensated!! Great food, lovely atmosphere, perfect date night.
I always enjoy coming to Lily’s. Great specialty cocktail selection, extensive but not overwhelming menu, quaint and cozy atmosphere. All things add up to five stars every time.
Really good food...the place is in a very old building and they had a constantly opening door to their patio...it seems like they could use some improvements with better AC and a fan to help keep the inside cool and comfortable.
Again, very good service and good food...it was Sunday Night Chicken Dinner and the fried chicken was excellent.
They changed their amazing perfectly cooked and seasoned potatoes to diced potatoes that were very average. They were the kind of potatoes you expect to get at a restaurant like Denny's. Maybe it was an off day, but I was very disapointed and hope that the potatoes do not stay this way.
Was looking forward to visiting this restaurant but was disappointed with our experience. I've read good things about their deviled eggs and fried chicken but both disappointed me and my daughter. The fried chicken reminded me of shake-n-bake. Service was lacking and slow. Even after we were done with our dinner and after waiting over twenty minutes to get our bill, I had to find someone to find our waitress. I won't be in a rush to return. The one good thing was the gentlemen who's job was to refill the waters. He was always looking after each table to ensure everyone had something cold to drink.
We had a disappointing first visit. We made a reservation and asked for a table outside when we arrived. The hostess said it would take about 5 min. to get the table set up for the 3 of us. There was an open table visible. It took about 15 min. And there was no silver ware until after we got our appetizers and asked for it. Our charcuterie board was scant to say the least and we received the wrong cheese but no one bothered to ask. The food took a long time to come out and was marginal at best. I had the fried chicken because other reviews spoke highly of it. It was extremely dry and not very flavorful. My husband ordered the Caesar salad with chicken and he said it was just ok. He loves Caesar salad and this one did not impress. Our experience was disappointing and we brought my sister in law from New York with us. Her tacos again were just ok. I never leave a bad review, but when you get treated like a number, have super slow service and the food is marginal at best, then I think management should know.
What a great setting and experience for our anniversary celebration. The pace was perfect, a reasonable price for the wine, and we loved the pork belly tacos and fried chicken. Will definitely dine here again
Our family went on Sunday night for the fried chicken. Everything was excellent. My eight year old daughter actually liked the muscles more and the mac and cheese or the chicken. The mac and cheese and chicken were incredible. She wants to go back for her birthday!
Thanks for coming in and sharing about your experience. We'd love to host your daughter's birthday meal! Just let us know :) Best, Emily and Lily's
My daughter called and left her credit card information with the front. She wanted to pay for our meal, for Father’s Day. Our waitress was aware as well. Although multiple people were aware, we were not told about this. My daughter was very disappointed. She did call back and was told they forgot. She wanted to surprise her father and was pretty upset that it didn’t work out.
Great food. A bit noisy. Bus boys continually removed service piece but were never replaced without asking. My wife had to cut her dessert with the edge of her spoon!
Great place. Fun atmosphere, great wait staff, interesting menu that changes frequently.
Very unique and yummy food. Great service. The water tastes great too!
Delicious food and wonderful service. We dined on the patio and it was a lovely atmosphere. We cannot wait to return again. We have already raved about our meals and recommended to friends.
AMAZING spot. Went on a Sunday with some friends, had the fried chicken dinner and champagne special. Sat on the patio and it was gorgeous. How can you complain about that? I was blown away honestly, the food was exceptional, the staff is fun, and I can enjoy an early summer night sitting outside eating bomb fried chicken. Love Lily’s.
I was disappointed in the Sunday night limited menu, as I wanted to try some of their more creative entrees. But it ended up being a great evening with a friend, good food, great staff, and a fun vibe.
We were a group of seven for Sunday brunch. The service was excellent and the food even better. The interesting menu items made it hard to choose. Most everyone ordered something different and raved about their meal. Lily's uses the freshest of ingredients and most are locally sourced. That makes such a difference. I had the pork belly benedict. It was by far the best benedict I've had and I consider myself an expert! Highly recommend this spot!
Server forgot to put our order in. We waited an hour for our food to be delivered. I got an omelet for $15 that I could have gotten at Golden Nugget for 1/2 the price and so much better.
Probably the best place to eat in downtown Dayton. Period.
Great atmosphere, amazing service and the food was delicious. Their beignets can’t be beat!! I always love coming here for a guaranteed delicious brunch on the weekends or lunch during the work week. If you are coming on the weekends I would definitely recommend a reservation- this place is very popular for good reason. 10/10 would recommend to anyone
Excellent brunch—loved the pork belly Benedict. My sister had the BLT. We both had home fries and mimosas. Loved every bite and will definitely be back soon!
Delicious food--the rabbit Biscuits and Gravy was absolutely wonderful. Only wish it was a larger serving/it came with a side.
Used Opentable to make an initial reservation for 8 for Sunday brunch. Had to update to 10 just an hour before. Called Lillys and they were very accommodating. Arrived a bit early and was seated straight away. Server was very gracious and reviewed the specials no less than 3 times as the party arrived. Food was outstanding, mimosa's were tasty. Beignets were very good. In all, we ordered 8 different brunch items an all were great.
I appreciate having Lily’s in town so much. Always fresh and interesting, never pretentious or stuffy, some of the best outdoor dining in the city—thanks for doing what you do! And if anyone hesitates to order the fried chicken, quit it. It’s excellent!
We had a lovely dinner on a very pleasant evening on the patio.
My friends and I dined here for a birthday brunch. When we arrived, the restaurant was basically empty, but the hostess wasn’t going to seat us until the last 2 of our party of 5 arrived. She finally agreed to seat us after I mentioned that we wanted to sit down to get drinks while waiting on the rest of our party. I would have understood her not seating us if the restaurant was busy, but it wasn’t. Also, when we were seated, we were seated at the same size table as another party...a party of 3... so I’m not sure why it mattered so much that the other 2 people were there if we were going to be at the exact same size table. Once we were seated our service was great and the food was delicious. I dine here fairly often and this is really the first time I’ve had any complaints so hopefully this was a one off.
I am in love with the new kimchi dish! Its my goal to try every new dish! I can’t get enough of the amazing flavors! The price is reasonable! Best food in Dayton!
Loved sitting outdoors on their patio! Great food, quaint surroundings, and wonderful company!
The food and service is outstanding! Don't be in a rush; sit and enjoy. One of our favorites.
Lily’s never disappoints. The food is consistently fresh and well prepared, and the service is always friendly and strikes the balance of being attentive, without being overbearing.
I love Lily's, and I was able to have a special brunch with my mom for Mother's Day. Its my favorite brunch place in town, and I am glad I was able to get a reservation.
I honestly love how planned and organized they were for such a busy day. Many other places will never turn people down, but since they knew their limits, the place wasn't jammed packed and unpleasant.
There was a new guy training as a waiter (I wish I could remember his name), as well as Zack, who was busing, were both so friendly and welcoming.
Only downgraded to 4 stars due to slower service. Our first time going was during a graduation weekend so we were warned by the hostess that other larger parties placed their orders ahead of our group of four and that food prep would be delayed. Still 50 minutes from time of order is quite long regardless. Overall food was excellent. We would definitely recommend it and will go back when in Dayton.
Can’t say I loved the food here at Lily’s Bistro. It is highly rated but we were unimpressed by the things we ordered (eggs Benedict and tea sandwich). Ambiance is cute and wished we could have enjoyed the outdoor patio (but could not due to the weather). I would have also liked to see some options for kids like plain waffles or pancakes.
Good food, good service, loud.
Always good food with an excellent atmosphere and friendly service.
Even with a reservation we were kept waiting and basically ignored even with open tables. But the beignets, which is why we went, were excellent and our server friendly.
Lily's food is delicious and fresh! We love the patio and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable.
