   We made reservations for lunch and it was quite busy with only a slight delay in getting our table.  The staff and the owner chef were very hospitable to us, and the food was  delicious.  we ordered the lunch special and so we got with dad an entrée appetizer and a drink, and we had choices  in each category, which made everyone happy.    We lived in Southeast Asia for many years, including several in Vietnam and this may be the best Vietnamese meal we have had in the US. The ingredients are quality, the recipes are creative, and the portions are generous. We sat at the Chef’s Counter and were able to converse with the chef and also watch our dishes and others get prepared. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, so we had a nice chat before it filled up over the course of the meal. The restaurant has a cosy feel, staff is friendly, and the sound level is moderate. Outstanding dining experience. Will be going back soon and frequently

   It’s a bit loud but the food is amazing and we enjoyed several dishes shared between us. The shaking beef and garlic noodles are THE BEST!

   We tried Lily’s for the first time yesterday. We sat at the counter and were very entertained by watching the various cooks prepare the meals. The food was outstanding! We shared plates since the portions were generous. We started with fried shrimp and sweet potatoes. The shrimp was loosened from the shell and delicious. In Vietnam the shells are eaten so here the paper-thin crispy shells were served with lettuce leaves, pickled vegetables, and a vinegar sauce. The main was a double pork chop with broken rice. The sliced pork chop was at least 4” thick and had a delicious caramelized crust. We brought some home as the portion was generous. For dessert we shared a very tasty banana bread pudding served with a caramelized banana. The service was friendly and we got to chat a bit with the owner since we were at the bar. As it got busier, it did get harder to grab attention to order dessert. A great dinner all around!
