LiLLiES Italian Restaurant & Bar
When the weather is warm, diners can relax around mosaic tables on the terrace patio. On cooler days, the hardwood floors, candlelight and exposed brick inside make for a snug retreat. Brunch is served on both Saturdays and Sundays, and offers options for health-conscious patrons, such as a Greek yogurt parfait, and for those looking to indulge—say, in the Nutella-smothered French toast.

Excellent food and service. Had Sunday brunch. The Lillie's benedict was delicious. Wonderful salmon and avocado.
Great food. Excellent service. Highly recommend !!!
The mosquitos were so bad on the patio that even spraying with OFF (7% deet) we were still eaten alive. Booked this restaurant specifically because we are not comfortable eating inside yet--it was nearly the only place I could find with outdoor space for 6 on the weekend. We decided to just order and eat quickly and get out of there...but the food (standard brunch fare) took about an hour to arrive.
Regarding food, could have been due to attempting to serve a party of 6 at once, but in both Benedicts, the poached eggs came out hard and cold, my 9 year old said they must have over mixed the batter as her panda pancakes were sooo dense and dry. Burger, fries, omelet and french toast received no complaints.
We had the Vegetable Lasagna and the Spinach Ravioli paired Malbec wine. The meal was nicely prepared in an authentic manner. Both dishes tended toward the rich/heavy side due to cheeses and cream sauces, but were tasty and satisfying. The portions were perfect.
Our server was prompt and efficient.
Regrettably, parking nearby was an issue, though we had been told that there was ample street parking. We parked in front of the restaurant in a zone that was unclearly marked. We asked our server for advice regarding where we had parked and she told us that it would no problem. Unfortunately, as we were paying our bill, our car was ticketed and we were fined $100 for parking in that location during a rush hour period.
We'd suggest LiLLiES for authentic and reasonably priced Italian fare served in a quiet and cozy environment.
They know us there and treat us wonderfully. Great food and lovely neighborhood restaurant.
We had a lovely evening. The food was rest- Veggie lasagna was delicious and chicken Marsala was divine. The desserts were heavenly as we split the flan, the cheesecake and chocolate brownie.brownie was amazing as it was heated and acompañéis with ice cream!
Our table server was really nice and helpful and efficient lady . The supporting staff was warm and friendly as well. Atmosphere was quiet indoors with plenty of ventilation. And there is a fabulous black and white panda outside
You emailed me saying we had not been seated at LILLIES. We were there and we will be back.
We loved it here! I had a delicious, fresh and hot pasta; my friend had a Reuben sandwich. Everything was fresh and fast. Dessert was equally if not more delicious — cannoli and ice cream that was out of this world. Friend liked her espresso too. It was busy so a little hard to get the attention of servers but I would not hesitate to return. Nice that it is close to the zoo, as well. We ate inside but there were a few tables outside under the tent enclosure out front. Until next time!
Lillies was a great place to eat after the zoo. The service was very good and the food came out perfect and hot~ I had eggs Benedict and it was very good. I highly recommend.
We stopped by on the way back from the National Zoo to the hotel. We were so pleased to have a wonderful lunch at Lillies. We had fried mozzarella sticks and fish and chips. They were delicious. After the meal, we decided to treat ourselves with desserts: Licomenlla Torte and Cheesecake. Both were outstanding. We were so pleased to dine at a fine restaurant in DC.
Lovely place with outdoor dining right down the street from the National Zoo. Very nice food and wonderful service.
No one in the place and service was still not great. Food was meh. Won’t go back
Food was good and nicely presented.
At the end there was a misunderstanding with the tip that was confusing.
I was not impressed with the food. I asked for the chicken picatta sandwich- it was deep fried, and had ketchup on the sandwich. I asked for Mayo that never came.
On the other hand, the creme caramel was delicious.
My friend was late, and as they filed up the restaurant, there was no criticism of me sitting and waiting. Just disappointed with the food.
Friendly and welcoming neighborhood bistro near National Zoo in Woodley Park. Top entrees are the chicken schnitzel, eggplant, veal parmigiana, and risotto. Appetizers are good also, enjoyed the bruschetta. The burgers for lunch also very good. Great place to get together with friends.
This is a hidden gem (even though right on Connecticut Ave & close to the zoo). Wonderful staff, neighborhood vibe, outdoor seating too.
Enjoyable and delicious brunch! Would definitely recommend
Nice location with patio. Delicious food and great service!
They called to let us know deck was being used by private event 😕….but at least they called ahead
Cozy and nice place for dinner with friends or family.
Loved LiLLiES! We went for a birthday brunch and couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to try somewhere new. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. Once we ordered the food came out quickly and was enjoyed by everyone. The menu has a nice variety to fit whatever you might be craving. The breakfast panini was the overall favorite. Highly recommend checking this place out.
They seemed a little short-staffed but the food was great.
Great date night.
Went for brunch and the food was really good. Service was a bit slow in the beginning but then picked up on attentiveness. Bottomless mimosas were a hit as well!
Ambiance was very nice. Good was not very good and pretty small portions. Cocktails very small and also just ok. I don’t think I would return. The outside seating was lovely
We dined here Mother's Day evening. The 8 of us were thrilled they had availability as we were remiss in thinking ahead since everyone's focus was on our nephew's graduation from American University.
The service was ideal, the gentleman handling everything from the orders to the drinks to the delivery---who knows, he may have cooked everything as well!!!
Chicken parm, the fresh salmon, the linguine, everything was delicious. Tiramisu & the cannoli also hit the spot!
Will hopefully be able to return in 3 years after the nephew's law school graduation. Since we live in San Francisco, unfortuneately we can't return before then!
I loved being in a space where I could spend a good time with my family.
Very nice Mother's Day brunch! Tasty food and a good value.
Lovely service, excellent food, and overall a faultless experience. I recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to eat at LiLLiES again.
The meal, service and table location were all very good. The entrée was excellent, but the Caesar salad was NOT GOOD AT ALL. The greens were not fresh.
Lillie's is a quaint and friendly neighborhood restaurant with beautiful outdoor dining options and a really great Happy Hour with both food and drink options.
The bruschetta, vegetable lasagna, and lemon mascarpone torte were all simple, and delicious. Great comfort food.
Loved this place. Can’t wait to go back
We had a fantastic brunch yesterday. We had a party of 12 people and the staff accommodated us as I added more diners! The patio was wonderful, had a heater, and almost felt like we were brunching in Europe.
The plates are affordable and tasty. I loved the option of bottomless, which normally just includes Bloody Mary or mimosa, but they offered to do bottomless for their other drinks like bellinis.
The establishment was clean and covid-conscious. We also had a 10% off coupon which they honored, and were upfront about the gratuity pre-added to the bill.
It was a wonderful day out, and we all had a great time. Special thanks for the panda pancakes :)
We will be back!
Great spot with super yummy food and great service. Also a great value! Our server Nourah was outstanding!
My experience was not good. I made a reservation on Open table for Sunday at 9:15 - we got to the restaurant and they didn’t open until 10 am. So we drove around to find somewhere else.
Not sure if this is Lillies fault or open table but it was quite inconvenient.
Birthday dinner for a friend and everything was amazing! Service, food and ambiance! Would definitely recommend for a quit evening of good food and quality people
Quite comfortable. We sat outside in clear tent-like setting with some heat system. Meat eaters loved The New Yorker and the clam linguini was light and delicious. Nice staff and service.
The food and staff were great but there was a party on the patio that was not following Covid protocol (large group, standing and moving around without masks, yelling without masks) and no one felt the need to tell them to stop. Would want to go again but not until Covid is over.
Service was great and the food was fresh and very good!! We will be back especially to try the brunch.
