Cold biscuits, no spread, ordered service for two - only got one, very slow service. Boring - NOTHING like their old tea service. Don’t bother you will be disappointed.

elegant and lively. Very much enjoyed the live music and the waiter comped us two glasses of champagne to celebrate my husband's birthday which was very nice. Fresh flowers on the tables is a very nice touch. Really enjoyed the experience.

Ambience and waiter were good. However, the food was just ok. I feel that I have had better afternoon tea service for less cost at other places.

I had been to Lillie's for the first time a couple of weeks before and was DYING to return just to have another feed of the amazing Mushroom Tagliatelle I had enjoyed so much. This time it must have been prepared by a different chef -- still good, but this version was not a dish that I would have fantasized about coming back for. Oh well. The ambience outside on the patio, with the gorgeous blossoms and twinkling lights on the trees was absolutely beautiful. The service (both times was) very pleasant and added nicely to the experience. I'd definitely go back.

Servers were in abundance and personable. Food came out, staggered rather than the entrées being delivered at the same time so that was awkward. Food quality was good. Selections were limited in food and wine and the prices were fairly high. Entertainment was great and we will definitely be going back.

Delightful setting in the historic Culver Hotel. A Step back in time as we listened to a jazz pianist and Saxophone player while black and white Charlie Chaplin movie was in the background. We had the Burrata Cheese appetizer, the Steamed mussels and Sourdough Bagette to begin. They were so good, I probably should have just ordered them or the main course. Too much food. My husband ordered the New York au Poivre and I had Steak Frites, both delicious. Our daughter and her girlfriend had the Tagliatelle and Rigatoni. For dessert we had Cream Brûlée and Chocolate cake. I highly recommend this quaint French Bistro.

Food was just ok. If they continue to have a Tea, I hope there is a little more and better. Knew it was dinela so didn’t expect everything for the price. But, the experience of this old Hotel was the main reason to go there. Service was good.

Good food horrendous service. Was seated outside, then greeted by a server who appeared to want to be anywhere else. Slow but drinks and one shared appetizer arrived. Took our mains order then we didnt see him for the rest of the night. Food came out. One main not hot, the other two were fine. No one came by to check on us, to see if we needed another drink or fill water glasses. When we finished dinner, we asked a busboy to send the waiter. He never came. Then asked a waiter from an adjacent table to send our waiter. He never arrived. We got another busboy and asked for our check. Our waiter came with the bill and we complained about our experience. He said no one told him of our requests, which doesnt make sense. He comped 2 dishes and while that is appreciated, it doesnt compensate for the truly abysmal service. BTW we were seated outdoors on the terrace, which was a mix of suitable and unsuitable dinner tables. If the restaurant is going to feature (which it does on their website) their outdoor dining, it is unfair that they ignore those who choose to dine there. The terrace felt a bit dirty and none of the outdoor heaters were lighted even though it was 7pm. Everything took a lot of effort on our part just to be accommodated. The food was quite delicious, despite one main not being hot. BUT the service completely killed the experience and we wont be back anytime soon.

I went with a friend for the Afternoon tea. The table, the room and the entire hotel are so beautiful. It makes you feel as though you are in a French garden, an English tearoom and old Hollywood all at the same time. The food was delicious and the tea selection was good. I am looking forward to visiting again so I can see the speakeasy bar.

Went for the afternoon tea Dine LA (May 2023) and it was wonderful. Nice selection of teas and savory and sweet items for the afternoon tea. Not many afternoon teas offered during the week so was a nice change instead of a regular lunch. Our server was wonderful and relaxing place.

Beautiful, elegant restaurant. I went for tea as part of Dine L.A. Restaurant Week and most of the food was good but the service, while friendly, was not great. The server served the tea immediately before it had had time to brew so it was just water. I had to ask for milk because none was brought to the table. Server brought milk but no stirring spoon or sugar. He brought 3 condiments but just two spoons. I wanted cream and jam on my scone but we had not been given knives. I tried to pull it apart with m hands and it crumbled to little pieces so that didn't work. The scones didn't have much flavor but the rest of the food was good. But the portions of the savory foods were small so the ratio of sweet to savory was a bit much. The presentation was beautiful, with fresh flower petals strewn atop the plates and I enjoyed the ambience. I was required to pay at the time we made the reservation and it included an automatic 20% tip. I don't like having had to pre-pay the tip and wonder if we might have had better service if the tip had not been mandatory and pre-paid. I would go to the restaurant again because it was lovely but I would go elsewhere for tea service.

We came for afternoon tea - a prepaid $45 with an added automatic 20% tip and some additional service fees. Overall, we paid $61 each for a pot of tea each (and they were out of one of the teas); a selection of moderately stale sandwiches and small cakes; and a bowl of berries. The quantity of the food was laughable given the cost. There were three situations where we specifically had to ask for items that were listed on the menu but were not on our table - if we hadn't been paying attention we would've been shortchanged. (Also, when making the reservation, the description mentions cocktails and sparkling wine - neither of which are included in the pre-fixe cost.) Most importantly, however, and what is warranting this review, is that from the minute we walked in the door we felt like an inconvenience. We had to ask for utensils; we asked for sugar and milk (twice); I asked about an ingredient and was told "I don't know what that is" so I had to google it. We asked for knives and they brought us 2 - there were 4 of us. We were one of 3-4 tables there, so they weren't busy. It was the lackadaisical approach of the waitstaff that made the entire experience unappetizing. At one point, we wanted drinks and out waiter was nowhere to be found so we got up and walked to the bar. (Bartenders were lovely.) The company was fantastic and had the service been better I could easily forgive the small portions and some of the menu errors. BUT from the minute I entered to the minute I left I - and my entire group - felt uncared for and unappreciated. Needless to say, I will not be back.

Lovely patio atmosphere, delicious wine and food - so happy to see that you now offer more gluten-free options because this place used to be IMPOSSIBLE to eat at if you are gf. Biggest star of the experience was the service, though - it was outstanding. Our server John was very attentive and helpful (down to bringing us a second heater when we got cold), and had a delightful sense of humor. Very memorable experience - would definitely come back.

Lilys was such a gem of a restaurant. What a wonderfully romantic and old world charm, it felt so nice to be in the dining room. Service was beyond great so gracious and food was perfection. We had the warm baguette delivered to our table with the ABSOLUTE best butter ever a complimentary service-from the hotel. Much appreciated. Then our 3 starters were beef carpaccio , Cesars salad, French onion soup all were delicious. Our main meals were the New York steak and the Tagliatelle. Cooked to perfect. Our Martinis were lovely. Would definitely recommend to anyone who would like to feel old school nostalgia. The service was perfectly executed. From the hostess to the good byes from the bar and waitstaff.

I loved the ambience and the live Jazz....however, the prices are all over the board - 12 BUCKS for bread and butter. Yet a Burrata plate doesn't come with bread. I got a dirty Martini - Martinis are $16 PLUS $4 for the dirt!!!??? I have never seen any restaurant add for dirt. Service was so entirely poor. Won't go back

Great atmosphere with live music. Hostesses @ entry and server most gracious. Comfortable seating and view of surrounding tables and guests. Shrimp appetizer and cocktail sauce was VERY cold, almost frozen. Mashed potatoes were delicious but were sent back due to cool temperature. After dinner coffee with Bailey's served warm enough to drink straight down vs sip in enjoyment. Food temperature is my only real concern. Staff and attention to guests most welcoming.
