Lillie's Asian Cuisine - Atlantic City
The problem is it’s on casino floor VERY smoky!
What oriental restaurant doesn’t provide a pot of tea with meal? Didn’t think to order because assume it came with meal. Waitress so quick, didn’t have chance to react. Food decent.
This is a good place to come for a late dinner. We got to the Golden Nugget around 11pm , there aren’t that many places open. The food is good. Wonton soup and Mongolian Beef were very good. It’s right by the casino tables, so it’s very loud. Service was good.
Restaurant is located directly on the casino floor. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this is not it. Greeter seated us promptly, waiter was awful. Did not take our order for quite some time, did not bring us water when asked, we asked for green tea and were brought enough barely to fill one small cup. Food was basically a run of the mill Chinese take out quality but charged average entree price of around $20 per person, and $14 for appetizers. Poor value, incredibly noise, poor service.
Smoking is not legal in any restaurant and with no wall between the food tables and the gambling tables and with gamblers constantly smoking as far as I am concerned you are in violation of the state code. It was a disgusting experience never to be repeated.
Appetizers are the best part about the restaurant
Food is delicious, and the service was very good. Right in the middle of the action. Yes I would recommend.
We love Lillie’s. We always have a great experience. The happy hour menu is an exceptional value.
It was below average for the food we received. My son’s Braised Chicken noodle soup was bland. The seafood dish was bland as well. Everything needed soy sauce to save the flavor. Crispy dynamite shrimp were not crisp enough.. (think gooey flour) Six people, shared items, three sodas, three waters for $232.00 tip included. Sushi was good but nothing to call home about. Much better in town. Service was SUB PAR!! Drinks needed refills and we had to get the waiter. Place was empty. I never got a large plate. I had to push together two of the dipping plates together. I had to ask for two spoons so I could give my kids rice. Here is the kicker.... they don’t have a dessert menu.
The sushi was not good at all. Nothing wrong with the place or service but I wouldn’t go back.
Food was very bland
The only reason that I did not give 5 stars in every category is because Lillie's is right next to the poker tables & the smell of cigarettes is very strong. I wish there were some way to filter the air as Lillie's is one of my favorite restaurants in AC.
Food was good and service was excellent.
I would have given 5 stars across the board but the smoke coming from the gaming tables right next to the restaurant was beyond offensive. Have complained before but nothing gets resolved. It was DISGUSTING .
Let me start by saying that it was our first time, the food was excellent and the sushi was fresh and tasteful. The service on the other hand was absolutely horrific. We sat at the table for about 10 minutes before a server came over to take our drink order, then it took another 10 minutes to receive our drinks. I had to physically approach the waitress to ask for a refill and my wife was never asked if she would like another. The speed in which we received our food was pretty quick so no complaints. When it came time to ask for our bill and a togo bag my wife and I sat there for over 25 minutes. The surrounding tables were getting restless as well as they hadn't even put their drink orders in yet. One table ordered food, only received a portion of their food and the server said she forgot to put it in a argument broke out and the customers ultimately walked out.
Due to the amazing food I will give it one more shot, if I receive the same service I will never return.
food was great and good potions can share entrée with apps only downside was, sat near outside rail by casino way too smelly from cigarette smoke Need a better vent system do not sit near outside go near the back !!!
Customer service was horrible. We were seated and after a good 5 minutes we decided to go get our own drinks . I always get lemons in my drinks. My wife went back and asked the bartender for more lemons and he told her I already gave you 2 wedges ...... really ?Food did not have much flavor and the chicken was over cooked ( hard and chewy )
Yum Yum roll will CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I brought a party of 14 in for my 21st birthday. Though I had originally scheduled for 12, they were extremely friendly, accommodating and even split the checks individually with little to no mistakes. The food was absolutely delicious and everybody enjoyed a different dish. I couldn't get enough of my sashimi, potstickers and bok choy! I am so glad I chose this restaurant and can't wait to go back :)
Terrific service, really good food and drink options.
Went here new year's eve. We were a party of 13 and had a great time. We had a very attentive, friendly waiter who definitely helped make it a positive experience. Also they were very accommodating with requests to customize/order off menu. (I asked for shrimp and broccoli in white sauce which wasn't on the menu - they made it for me and it was delicious - I told them they should add it to the menu!)
My only negative is that the restaurant is on the casino floor and is right next to the smoking section . Why would you put a restaurant near the smoking section of a casino? I had asked to be as far away from the smoke as possible, and the restaurant did comply, but it was still smoky and some members in my party would not go back just because of the smoke.
Food Is Perfect As Usual ! From The Host To All The Wonderful Servers I never have one complaint coming to this restaurant.
Might have been a timing issue for me but...I chose Golden Nugget over another hotel in AC I prefer because I really wanted to try Lillian's Hot Pot menu only to sit down and...no Hot Pot. ArGh. Unlike take out, I wasn't expecting my appetizer (disappointing egg rolls) and entree to be served at the same time. Service was fine and the food was OK.
I think Lillian's would work best for family style dining: order one of each dish and pass around the table.
good food, good value, good service. I would recommend it to my friends
Date - with my wife. Visiting our kids in the area. Stayed at the Golden Nugget hotel (where Lillie’s is located). Seemed convenient. Ordered spring rolls and chicken dumplings. They were ok. Ordered general tsos chicken for the entree. Probably the worst tasting version I’d ever had. Sauce was thin and relatively tasteless. Chicken pieces were more like nuggets than batter dipped tempura chicken pieces.
It was attached to a gaming area (it is a casino, after all) where smokers were abundant. That detracted significantly from the ambiance of the restaurant.
The waitress was attentive and the food delivered hot and promptly. Still, didn’t care for the entree and hated being next to a smoking section like that.
Very good happy hours which is all day on Wednesday. Servers are very attentive and friendly. Sushi is very fresh & excellently prepared. We look forward to dining there about once a week or every 10 days.
They have the best Chinese in Atlantic City. Even if it isn't on the menu, they will make it for you. We enjoy sweet and sour shrimp and they always make it for us.
It would be great if you added Chinese noodles and duck sauce as a pre dinner snack to be eaten while waiting to be served dinner. We did enjoy our meal. The serving was plentiful.
The hosts and all the servers are amazing . Thankyou for another enjoyable evening
I eat here all the time . Raymond and the entire staff are amazing . This restaurant is perfect for any occasion
Sushi/Chinese menu. Everything is always so fresh. The restaurant will make you special requests and the do have another menu which you can peruse on line.
It’s in the Golden Nugget right in the middle of all the gambling. The food was great but the ambiance was bad.
They told us to make a reservation so we wouldn’t have a table in the corner. We still got the table in the corner next to the kitchen. It smelled awful next to the kitchen. Not the mention we mentioned something to the manager he didn’t do anything. The food is worse than I ever remember it being and our service was horrendous. All around awful experience.
This was one of my favorite experiences in a restaurant down in Atlantic City. The food was excellent from the sushi to the entrees! It was my date's birthday and the staff brought over a delicious chocolate mouse cake (IT WAS AMAZING!). Very impressed by the overall experience and the staff was first class from the beginning to end! Highly recommend and will be coming back when I am in Atlantic City! :)
The food was fantastic. We celebrated Father's Day there. Our server was wonderful, attentive and friendly. We all enjoyed our meals, the casino is a bit loud but we were able to converse without a problem. Would recommend lillies .
Who can believe that a restaurant serving sushi can not serve hot sake? Management informed us the hot sake machine broke??
It’s like ordering a hot dog, but no roll. Somebody please make Lillie’s great again!
Surprisingly pleasant meal given environment. Little pricey but to be expected within the casino atmosphere. Service was acceptable though the server seemed to have too many tables. All in all definitely recommended for a casual before a show meal.
First of all, we were seated at the back on the right hand side near the bar (with merely a curtain separating us from the smoker gambling at the tables) so we could smell the cigarette smoke while eating dinner...not nice. Also, we ordered a 'pork' pad thai but received a 'chicken' pad thai. When we asked the waiter, he checked his notes and said we were right and that he'd take it back and bring the right one. What we received was a pad thai dish that has most (not all) the chicken picked out of it and pork added. Will not be back!!
Great service , food came out quick .. so delicious ! Evening was great !
Food and service where wonderful. Special drinks where yummy. Food arrived quickly.
