Will definitely be back (again) to Lillah !
Visited with my husband and 2 young children a few Saturdays ago for lunch and needless to say, we loved the whole experience. I’m a Lane Cove local and can absolutely say there is nothing of this quality in the area. The chargrilled eggplant and falafel with charcoal tahini were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. My husband was a sucker for the smoked meats and the kids loved the Mr Happy and Mr Lazy books given on arrival - as did we, talk about nostalgia! Thank you for a wonderful experience team, we will be back.
Had the most delightful dining experience at Lillah! We were visiting from overseas and stumbled across this neighborhood gem on our travels. The Middle Eastern food was some of the best I've had and the vibe casual and fun! Very impressed with the friendly staff and thoroughly enjoyed their cocktails. TIP head in the afternoon for a cheeky cocktail and some small bites to get the night going! Thanks Lillah - we will be back!
Wow! What an experience. We drove from Manly (approx. 17k) as we'd heard through friends that this was "the best Middle Eastern casual dining experience in Sydney" - BIG CALL. Working in food as a stylist, I'm pretty aware of what works and doesn't and boy does this place work. From the beautiful interiors, sharp service, wine list and the food - by acclaimed chef Roy Ner, it was highly unexpected and definitely one not to miss. Welcome to the hood Lillah!
Hoping it gets better. Lots of staff (I counted 13) but still hard to get attention. Falafels small and over cooked and therefore dry. Eggplant dish had far less eggplant than I’d have expected. More fat than meat when it came to the lamb I added - I left the pile of fat on the plate. I told the waitress who did thank us for the feedback but we were still charged. I didn’t say anything but I felt they should have taken it off - especially since we did spend quite a bit. We won’t be back anytime soon but would consider trying again in a few months in the hope they’re much better.
