   Salmon was terrible, trout was dry, and my medium rare steak was raw. I don't normally complain but for $100 that was not a good meal at all.

   Food and ambience was fabulous! Lots of food options. We had 1 picky eater and 1 person that was GF from our 4 person group and we each found something delicious!

   Perhaps caught them on a bad night. The waitress had to be reminded to bring the bread. My filet was fine but harld worth $40, in my opinion. The 8 oz looked more like a petit 4 or 6 oz. My date's mashed potatoes weren't hot. Neither was her chicken which was over-cooked and dry. She pointed this out to the waitress. The cook came out and explained he timed things wrong and her food was sitting gettign cold while my food was still being prepared. Gave us $10 off the check. Unfortunetly so many places are short-staffed these days so service keeps going downhill.

   Cute restaurant in the quaint area of Shepherdstown. Food was really good, extensive wine/beer/cocktail list. Our server was fantastic but the food took forever to come out. I’d still return as overall a great experience! And I love that they are so dog friendly!

   Went to see the town and found this restaurant as a great ambassador to Shepardstown. Very good waiter he explained the menu and some town knowledge and thoughts with ease. Food was good, and a dog friendly restaurant is a nice change.

   It is very important to share passion in the food service industry. I feel the server was able to tell the story of the chef’s attention to detail starting with prep and carried through to plating. This communication gave a greater appreciation to our meal. Thank you! The outdoor seating area was quiet and refreshing.

    Jazz night prix fix menu was delicious! Music was excellent. My favorite food was the portobello mushrooms, but, everything was excellent. Excellent service and food.

    Went with some girlfriends for Sunday brunch. We were visiting the area, so didn’t know what to expect but picked Lilah’s based on the menu & reviews. The decor was super cute - loved the dog decor throughout. We ordered so much food and all of it was amazing - I’d recommend the fried green tomatoes & beignets. We ordered the Bloody Mary buffet & the mimosa buffet. Both were great options for a larger group. Most importantly, the service was the best we had from all the places we had been to on our trip. Ryan was our server & he was extremely attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. All of the staff gave this same service. I highly recommend going to Lilah’s for anyone visiting the area, and plan to go back in the future.

    Lovely place, very friendly. Good foodie kitchen. Fun cocktail list. Server was very personable. The area is charming. For me, the pictures you'll see online do a good job conveying what the experience will be like, a yummy meal in a welcoming spot.

    We reserved a table for 6 for dinner at 7:30. We thought the menu was diverse and were happy to see GF and vegetarian options and lots of drink options. However, the print size in the menu was tiny and very hard to read. We were seated in the big side room at a great table w plenty of room. The lighting was too bright and jarring and the server would not allow us to adjust it. After a hard day’s waiting people want to relax in a calmer atmosphere - lower lighting. Our appetizer of a cheese board was really good. Our drinks were wonderful too. However, our food did not come out until 9pm! Everyone seemed happy with their plentiful dishes. My duck was over cooked. But, it tasted good anyway. The service was attentive and on point. Overall a good experience. It just needs a little tweaking in order to make it an even better place. We will be back.

    Lilah is my favorite spot in Shephardstown! Connie is an amazing owner and the staff is delightful! The Halloween Drag Brunch was amazing! If you are ever in Shepardstown, Lilah is a must!

    We returned to Lilah based on our previous experience and their on-line menu. I had the house side salad which was much more interesting than the usual side salad. It contained crisp chick peas and a delicious dressing. The Reuban sandwich could have used a bit more dressing, but it was still delicious. Service was very very good.

    Food and service was good. I did not appreciate the four percent add on to our bill for using a credit card. We should have been informed before hand. Also four percent is above what a restaurant is charged, typically they pay three % or less.

    It is fun to be the first to arrive in a restaurant as the doors open. One gets to have a real chat with the hosts and waitstaff in an unhurried manner. We were greeted warmly and did not experience any ‘attitude’ as some reviewers mentioned. Jared, the manager/waitstaff was gracious and accommodating. This is a gem of a Shepherdstown restaurant, especially if one is a dog person-which we are. Do not go if dogs are not your thing because you very well may have a dog seated (hopefully)on the floor of the adjacent table. How grand is that? Dogs permitted at your table INSIDE. That is Shepherdstown hospitality! There is a beautiful bar, ample tables, indoor and outdoor dining and an interesting beverage and food menu. We started with a Bloody Mary and a Cappuccino with a double shot of caramel (oh my): excellent. The cinnamon rolls were as tasty as they could be. The Full English is really spot on with everything one could ask for from eggs to a huge pile of bacon. The seasonal Pumpkin French toast was so good, I wanted more. It pains me to say that the Beignets were missing a dough rise and they were lead pellets. Sometime a kitchen misses. Jared handled the issue so professionally. No worry, we will be back for dinner and, of course, Trivia Night.

    Our wonderful server Christian, and all of the support staff, made us feel welcome and important, as if we were the only ones there. The drink menu was extensive and the Mojito and Blackberry Mule were delicious! We started with the fried green tomatoes, and they were unique and delicious. The rest of the dinner was amazing and my friend was surprised with a piece of decadent rainbow cake and a candle for her birthday, which was an unexpected and sweet birthday surprise. We are already planning on coming back and have told our friends, kids, and husbands all about it!
