About Lil' Frankie's
Italy's neighorhood pizzeria's are known as really casual places to hang out, meet friends, eat, drink and talk. Lil' Frankie's is just that. We offer real Neapolitan pizza, made exactly as it's made in Naples, fresh handmade pastas cooked to order, a wine and grappa list that rivals any in the city, and friendly (never pushy) service - all in a setting designed to make you feel at home.
Our brick, wood burning, oven was handcrafted by a 3rd generation Neapolitan oven builder, brick by brick. It features real lava from Vesuvio and through a unique double dome design, recycles heat to reach near 900 degrees.

Lil' Frankie's Ratings and Reviews
Server was incredibly rude and ignored us, wouldn’t make eye contact and scoffed when we asked questions. When I made the reservation I mentioned it was a special occasion. That was not acknowledged in any way by eithe the hostess or server. Second time there that I’ve been disappointed, wont be going back there, ever.
Definitely wise to have a reservation, this is a hot spot with big crowds, both inside and waiting outside. Great Italian food, including grilled eggplant, garlic bread, and all pastas, including the spaghetti limone and the rigatoni with meatballs and ricotta. Reasonable prices, and save room for the nutella dessert, it is amazing.
I started with their mozzarella tower had and had a glass of white their servier recommend. The beet raviloli(which was a special) it was deliciously amazing. The white pizza i ordered to try and I was suprised how good it was (picky pizza eater, yeah I know) the rosemary was a nice touch to the aroma of the pizza. Overall a great experience.
I love all of Frank Prisinzano's restaurant and Little Frankies is his Pizza spot with other delicious entree options as well. You know that you will always get quality when you come here and not be disappointed. The prices are incredibly reasonable considering that its one of the best italian restaurants in the city. I would say all of my visits to the Frank restaurants have been my favorite NYC Italian dining experience. Get the Burrata if they have, the mini meatball polpettine penne pasta was phenomenal! Honestly can't go wrong with whatever you choose.
Everything was great after we got through the rude hostess. I had a reservation for 4 at 7pm on a Saturday evening and she couldn't find it, so I showed her the confirmation texts from her restaurant to help her find it, and she told me that it didn't matter she didn't have it. Then she looked for a while and said I cant sit incomplete parties anyway, and I said our party of 4 is standing in font of you, she then looked at her computer again and asked again if my party was all there, again. She sat us on top of the kitchen where there was NO ROOM to breathe but we had a fabulous server and food! One of our party went to the restroom and saw a few tables open we could have sat at, I feel like she put us in a spot for non reservations, but anyway other than her it was great. She also could have been nicer to make us feel like we were not an imposition, even though I HAD reservations.
We showed up for our reservation and was told the kitchen was closed. I should have never been able to make reservations to a closed restaurant. When I told the host I have a reservation he said, “well I’m not the hostess and walked away.” When the kitchen do open, I won’t be to dining here.
I planned a big dinner here thinking it would be fun and yummy. Our group was dissapointed across the board by the mediocre pizza (lots of crust and just kind of meh on the flavor) and it was really loud, super cramped and the waiter was arrogant. He seemed like he didn't have time for us and was kind of smug about serving the group. Maybe it was because he knew gratuity was included? Overall just not somewhere I'd ever go back.
This was a disappointing visit. The waiter was totally spaced out, took 45 minutes to deliver the first round of drinks and buschetta. He ignored several requests by us to get attention to order more drinks, and was extremely absent. It was a Saturday night, but he seemed to genuinely not care about making sure people were taken care of. The food was good, but we weren't able to order more drinks. The ONLY good employee who helped us get the waiter's attention was the bus boy, who was very courteous and helpful.
Great vibe. The food is good old traditional italian done so well by frank. Simple but delicious. Place is packed every night. Cash only. I went there with my son fur a 6:45 table. It was pretty quiet, by the time I paid the tab the place was packed with a line outside.
