Our brick, wood burning, oven was handcrafted by a 3rd generation Neapolitan oven builder, brick by brick. It features real lava from Vesuvio and through a unique double dome design, recycles heat to reach near 900 degrees.
We literally came to NYC from our Boston trip (from Dallas) to eat at Lil Frankie’s - we love it so so so much.🥰 Again lil Frankie’s did not disappoint!
Prices an high end
Also fire safety should be reviewed seems a bit crowded
Brunch was great!
This place was delicious!! Will be back to try more
Very yummy and great for a date night! Perfect late night food spot if you don’t just want fast food after a night out.
Great food! Friendly staff! Will definitely be back.
Amazing food and ambiance highly recommend it
The food was excellent but the service was marginal. Four out of the five of us were practically done before the fifth person got their food.
Small table to squeeze our group size but otherwise we had a great time!
We came here for an early dinner (6pm on a Thursday night) before a show on the lower east side. We walked in to no hostess at the entrance, once we were able to track someone down we were informed that our table was cancelled after being 11 minutes late. Once the we were actually seated, the waiter was very uninterested in our table. The lemon and Parmesan pasta was so over cooked - it was so mushy it was almost inedible. I had been to Lil frankies a few years prior and was very disappointed with the decrease in quality. I would not revisit with so many other choices in the neighborhood.
Cramped space. Server didn’t bring us bread as per usual. Brought our entrees out too soon with no room on tiny table. Good music, delicious food. Wish they would pay more attention to details.
The service at Lil Frankie’s will always hold it back from being amazing.
service is absolutely terrible
Service staff have a hard time keeping up with big brunch crowds.
Amazing as always!
We were seated in the back corner of the restaurant, and our server only returned after we requested the bussing staff bring her over. Each time. For every drink order. While the people around us were being served regularly. I'm not sure what we did, since this began from the time we sat down, but the bad service alone warrants not returning.
If you go with two people prepare to be sandwiched between other double tables!
Appetizer never came. Food came out at different times. Service not great. Person who ordered a salad for entree got his salad last. Won’t return nor recommend to others.
Heavenly food! Excellent service! Very cordial !!
Great Italian restaurant with very good pizza, the chocolate cake is delicious, the staff is friendly, the place is small but very cozy, I’ll definitely go back.
Awesome experience as always!
Food is fantastic. Service was great. Space is limited so we were sat next to the kitchen area which was tight with the main walkway. Felt like we were in the way so it wasn’t as comfortable as other visits.
Thank you (:
The reservation was for 11 people. We were accommodated in a 8 people table. They put 10 chairs. The service was confused. One of the entrees did not arrive until the dinner was almost finished. Very noisy place, with the music in a high volume. But the food is excellent, really really good!
My wife had the spaghetti and broccoli and did not care for it at all. Wish we had gone with the pizza which we had read positive reviews about but we had just had pizza the night before unfortunately
JUST AMAZING!!!!! From start to finish. With my husband and kids. We wanted something different than our usual! The food tasted like we were in Italy and the service was great. Can’t wait to come back!
in a word ROUGH. If your looking for an Instagram moment this is your place
WE LOVE LIL FRANKIES. OUR SERVER WAS THE BEST PERSON IN THE WORLD. 5 STAR
We love lil Frankie’s! Great food! Gnocchi is the best and my girls loved the pizza, baby meatballs and calamari! Loud and energetic which was perfect with my 4 and 5.5 year old because when they were loud no one heard them! We go every time we are in nyc!
I called the reservation line to make sure they knew it was for a work dinner and they gave us he worst table. We couldn’t get in the chairs, had to move and then they put us by the kitchen dished and then after 2 hours they kicked us out. Never again
Nothing fresh here. Even when it’s promoted on the menu. Over priced Italian food, bland as ever. Horrific. Couldn’t finish it. I’m assuming this is an after hour spot people who have been out all night drinking go to for a meal. End of story.
Excellent customer service makes lil frankies and any of Frank Prisinzano spots worth the trip. Reminder, cash only. Prices are actually quite fair. Must try to the fire roasted eggplant for its simplicity and palate cleanser almost for the decadence of everything else you're going to enjoy.
Had the choice of squeezing in a booth with 6 people, or sitting right next to the pasta preparation area. Ending up sitting by the pasta preparation area and waiters were constantly squeezing behind us to grab the orders/there was a loud radio that the chefs were listening to. Also very unsightly to look at. Wish I could have had a better experience because I liked the food but the ambiance was terrible.
What an excellent surprise..!!! Understated and unexpected. The food is excellent, the best pizzas in town.
So disappointing. I was looking forward to eating here but would honestly never return. Our waiter acted as if he was doing us a favor by answering questions about the menu. The food arrived at different times and my husbands pasta meal arrived 20 minutes after the rest of ours. It was pasta , very quick to make. Our waiter never checked back with us and the restaurant is beyond noisy.
I told them it was my daughters birthday and they forgot to bring a dessert. Needless to say due to the very poor service and very underwhelming food I would not return.
The lighting was too dim we could barely read the menu
A frequent visitor of lil Frankie’s I find that my most recent was a disappointing experience. While dining, I was asked to switch tables for a party that has arrived with more people than the reservation was initially made for. The host then informed they’ve been giving her trouble about the wait time. All of which has nothing to do with me and the person accompanying me. I did in fact agree to switch tables for sake for “saving face “ — not being “ that guy “, complicated, giving anyone a hard time.
Fact of the matter I too made a reservation, arrived with the exact party in which it was made for. Upon arriving a table wasn’t ready and I/we patiently waited. I was seated at the table in the middle of eating my meal to be interrupted based upon accommodations of another party, that’s unacceptable.
