Does quirky dishes really well. The popcorn! Yes, popcorn.
Awesome spot! This restaurant is great for someone who wants to have a creative, upscale culinary experience but doesn't want to adhere to a particular attire/wants a playful and casual atmosphere. Reservations are highly recommended, since the wait for walk-ins can be hours and they are bar seating only.
Food overall was yummy. The fish was delicious. The baked Hawaii is always a great finish to our meal.
Very good. Truly unique
Great experience! We had been following this restaurant for some time on Insta and knew we had to order everything. We were seated at a small table and after ordering we realized we needed more space so they kindly moved us to a booth without reservations. Everything was delicious! Music in the background was on point! It is pretty loud so if you’re looking for a quiet place, this is not the one! Can’t wait to be back!

Brilliant food that stands out in an already very good SF dining scene. Kudos to excellent chef Ravi and team. A must visit when in SF
Amazing!! Food was great and the Bake Hawaii is was the star!
After hearing about the place for years, I was a little taken aback by the sparseness of the decor which struck me as high school cafeteria chic. But the off-putting ambiance was quickly dispelled by the warm, efficient service and the fantastic food. We ended up feeling pampered and very well fed.
Better for larger groups to share variety of dishes.
Ribs were a little too sweet.
Love the duck liver toast!
Definitely overrated... but still a nice experience overall.
Absolutely wonderful! Our server Josh was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable of the entire menu. Can’t wait to come back again. 10 STARS.
Fabulous food as always! During holiday season so a bit noisy and crowded but, worth it
VERY loud but fun. Food was tasty. The noise was so high that the table next to us were yelling at each other. Very distracting. Need to do something to dampen the sound. Turning up the music isn't it!
Very overpriced for the quality of the food. It was good, but not as great as the bill indicated. We won't be coming back.
Really interesting food and a unique experience overall. Will be back with other friends!
One of the best meals We have had in a while. The food is creative, surprising, engaging. Excellent service and ambiance.
Appetizers were served super fast. We got the Beef Tongue Steam Bun and Yellowtail Sashimi. Both were served in a span of 5 minutes within ordering. We ordered kimchi fried rice with housemade spam and the short rib bone marrow escargot. This took forever to be served. Took about 35 minutes to be served fried rice...then another 5 for the short rib. Timing off tonight. Baked Hawaiian was super difficult to eat since ice cream was super frozen. Not to mention servers would describe dishes in a not so confident and soft tone. Experience ruined a very special occasion.
Super good food. Worth it price wise. I ate way too much and didnt even regret it. The app with the clams in curry was amazing.
Liholiho has one of the most adventurous and extensive menus we’ve come across in San Francisco. Everything is unique and very well paired. I can’t recommend it enough to friends looking for a restaurant with an open mind for dishes that aren’t just chicken, fish or steak prepared in a generic way.
Liholiho Yacht Club is a GREAT restaurant with delicious food & desserts! The service is outstanding and their cocktails are also awesome!
Wonderful experience!! Food was more then we expected.
Great food. Fried oysters and octopus were our favorites. Poke, kimchi fried rice, chicories salad super solid. The presentation on ribs was incredible. Cocktails were ok. Genna, our server was an absolute darling. So nice so attentive so helpful! Answered all our questions well even when we threw her a few curveballs. Helped us order the perfect amount. Was not pushy at all. Highly recommend if you can even get a reso good luck with that.
Our server was incredibly helpful in recommending dishes and accommodating our mix of 2 omnivores, 1 pescatarian and 1 vegetarian. Everything was delicious and I would go again.
Such a great meal- the server had wonderful recommendations!
The escargot-bone marrow-twice baked potato is one of the best dishes I have ever had. If I lived in San Francisco, I would make this a go-to spot! Their drink menu is equally impressive and staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Love the open kitchen and atmosphere!
Not bad. Good for big groups. Some of the dishes very creative. I would stick to appetizers next time and skip the entrees.
Incredible dining experience - from the ambiance, to the food, the cocktails, everything. Came for a dinner with my best friend just for fun (we booked about a month in advance for a Friday night). We went a little crazy and ordered about 6 small plates and split an entree because there were so many things on the menu that we had heard about and wanted to try. Every single dish was outstanding and such an amazing combination of ingredients. Seriously I was in awe every time another dish came to our table. We got the baked Hawaiian dessert and that was beyond delicious. Couldn’t stop eating it even in my food coma state. Cocktails were wonderful I tried the skipper and one more that was hibiscus/mezcal. Very unique cocktails that I wouldn’t have typically ordered but delicious! Also very cool layout with the bar in front, open kitchen concept, and the hidden bar downstairs (definitely going to visit that one separately!). Decor/ambiance/music was also fantastic and equally contributed to my dining experience - I even asked the server if they had a playlist to share because I was enjoying the music so much. Will definitely be back again and again!
My 2nd "wait till midnite 30 days in advance to snag a restaurant rez for a weekend that's not 5 or 9:30 "..worth it ?, you ask, Yes it was. I'd give it 4.5 stars only for lack of any discernible decor. The experience was complete from drinks to dessert. Service attentive and helpful not over bearing or judgemental. Since we were 4 we had 3 different drinks all just right from dry manzanillo sherry, a lighter sparkling spritzer, to a smoky mezcal based mix. We got three smaller plates... poke, scallops and the octopus and one main the crisply game hen. It turned out to be just enough for 4. Each dish was unique , flavorful and accented the character of the main ingredient. The poke lived up to its rep . The fried hen might not be for folks sensitive to fried foods, but I thought it was just right with the glass of pinot. The wine list is nicely curated with glasses of everything available. We topped it off with a shared cake/ ice cream dessert along with an excellent , richly brewed black coffee. $ 75 a head out the door and everyone was pleased. That doesn't always happen. TIP: The slightly hidden speakeasy bar below seems like a great place to hang out while you wait for a table to open up, if you are not in a hurry. ( Copied from my YELP review)
We had a fabulous time celebrating my partner's birthday at this restaurant. From our expertly crafted cocktails to our helpful server and the amazing delicious dishes we ate, the experience was worth every penny. No surprise that it's one of the hottest venues in the City. Can't wait to go back.
Just great in so many ways... The food itself is entertaining... Every time someone new goes with our group they can't believe how much fun the overall experience is and how uniquely good the food is...
Never disappoints... Great energy and great staff...

The food was fantastic. We especially liked the opah with butter beans. It was, however, very loud.
Great food, good ambiance, every bite was delicious
Best food we have had in a really long time. We tried multiple dishes and they were all amazing!!!
My wife and I came here on a Saturday night to have a nice dinner. We had a reservation but we were seated well before our schedule which was very nice. The cocktails were great, I like the "Other Barrel" which had eagle rare, ginger beer and lemon (or a combo of that). We had their mushroom fried rice which was very tasty, the scallops with pork belly and green beans are for sure a must order, the bone marrow with escargot and steak was amazing. We have been here before and Im not really sure whats not good on their menu hah. Would visit here again over and over.
Thank you, for your kind review and for your support of our family owned business. We appreciate you taking the time to write it. Much aloha to you and yours! - Chef/Owner Ravi Kapur
Waited a half hour even with a reservation but aside from that always amazing food and great service. Corkage is $30 but they have a reasonably priced list.
I cannot say enough about how amazing out second experience was at Liholiho! The food, service, drinks, aesthetic, vibe, EVERYTHING were all just impeccable. I can't wait to go back... AGAIN! #getjag
Second visit there. Looking forward to my 3rd. Great food!
Table for 5 reserved 1 month in advance, indicated 2 birthdays and 1 senior with dietary restrictions. LYC very accommodating with menu. Extremely pleased to be seated at the table across from the kitchen prep. Portions generous, service and food quality were above and beyond expectations. Thank you for a great dinner, I will be returning!
The ahi was delicious. The fried oysters were amazing. The beef ribs were to die for. Loved everything we had!!!
