Very nice. Been there before. We’ll be back. If you want a fun casual experience on the Waterfront this is a great spot.
We were expecting more from The Lighthouse restaurant from the reviews we saw. The service was sub par, (server was unattentive) the food was not what we expected, very bland and not much flavor. It was not very busy but it was difficult to find a parking space.
This was our 4th time there. Previous visits have been outstanding, however, this time the service was extremely poor and both the fish and chicken were overcooked. We'll give it another try, but this time it was very disappointing.
I had a margarita that was not that great - price $9.00. Too pricey for was I got. Food was was great.
Food not bad fresh. Only thing was my husband received his appetizer within 5 minutes of ordering, mine came 15 minutes later, then both our dinners came a few minutes later. I was sti eating my app.
great place to eat and enjoy the views of Lemon Bay and Stump Pass. Tiki hut atmosphere gives it a great touch for a Florida restaurant.
Great food beautiful view. Nice staff! Highly recommend.
Was a beautiful day, not too crowded. Needed some professional supervision at the Buffet. Several selections were empty and patrons had to wait for refills and/or come back when ready. Stuffing was still in oven and had to wait an unreasonable amount of time to go back and get some. No one let us know when it was out nor did they offer to bring it out for us. When we went back for dessert, only one piece of pumpkin pie left. No one paying attention to what was needed even though there appeared to be plenty of kitchen help. In spite of all that, everyone was pleasant and helpful, just seemingly inexperienced. The food was good, our server was lovely and we adjusted.
Would recommend.....but not for Thanksgiving. Service was good but the buffet was not so good.
Food was good, but not hot. Each person in our party of six was concerned that our food was barely warm. Gravy was not even warm. Server was nice, but scarce. Did not remove dinner plates. Had to set them on next table. Main course selection was okay. Desserts were not very good or plentiful. Do like the atmosphere of the Lighthouse Grill. Staff seemed uncertain of our reservation even though it was made a week before and confirmed by then to me on in email. Would have liked a table closer to the water. We were way back by the bar, and many tables were empty. No view.
Visited for a Thanksgiving buffet with my wife. Rating on open table was 4 1/2 stars. Not a clue where that rating came from after our experience. We arrived about 15 mins early but was quickly seated. Had a great water view from our table. Though seated quickly we waited over 15 mins for waitress to take our drink order although restaurant wasn’t that busy! Turkey was dry and bland with many of the sides needing to be refilled. Although waiting in line there appeared to be no rush to get good refilled. Desserts were a disaster. Pumpkin pie had a weird texture and no dice. Apple pie bland and tasteless. Pies appeared to be either sore bought or frozen. Unsure whether we will return for regular menu. Disappointed holiday meal!!!
1st time there for a Thanksgiving buffet. Food was barely room temp. Apple pie was 1 step away from frozen. Stuffing was watery and cold gravy??? Mmmmm, mmmm!!!
We had a wonderful dinner and a wonderful time. It was a perfect day to eat outside and see the water, boats, etc.
We had a great meal at sunset. Service was outstanding. We both enjoyed our grouper Rueben and sandwich. Thank you!
Weekly special fish tacos were awful!
What a wonderful spot! Some of the very best waterfront views available with spectacular sunsets! The food is great, and they have a smoker to offer several items done that way. Pricing is very fair for what you get too. Open air, tiki hut, and they let the views be the primary decor - no kitschy clutter here. If it gets cool they have roll down isinglass and heaters.
Perfect place for family, data night or just enjoying family and friends. Good bands, good food and cold beer.
Vacation dinner, excellent choice from Open Table recommendation. Casual , on the water. Great sunset views. Delicious sea food, reasonable drinks. Clean establishment. Good service, will return.
An excellent evening and we’re looking forward to our next visit. I wish they would add a Cuban Sandwich to the menu or offer it as a Special. Just a suggestion 😎
Fantastic place! Yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy beautiful
Food was delicious! Need to add Hot tea to the menu.
Our waitress, Kelly was fantastic. When our assigned waitress was busy, Kelly stepped in to serve us so that we wouldn’t have to wait.
Excellent service by Jay our server and friendliness of Donna our hostess! Felt like home. Wow! The smoked half chicken dinner was FABULOUS! Wonderful dining experience with sunset to boot!
Very nice open air restaurant on the water. Food was good, but they couldn't seem to get all 6 of our plates out as completed. Sides kept coming after the fact. Hushpuppies seemed to take forever, had to ask several times for them. Had the blackened grouper dinner. Small amount of grouper. Someone else had the ribs and said they were very good. The shrimp basket was really good. Not a heavy batter. Those that ordered pina coladas said they were good. None of us had dessert. All in all good place and I would go back.
We always have an enjoyable evening at The Lighthouse Grill. The food is good, great service, and we love the bands that play there.
This was our second visit, but our first on a Friday night. There was live music and the band was so loud that it was impossible to carry on a conversation at the table. We were first seated at a table, several rows back from the band. I am not exaggerating, the noise was so loud it was painful. We chose to leave, but the manager seated us at one of the most distant tables from the band. We stayed for a meal, but I would never do that again. If you do go, I recommend taking ear protection of some kind.
Beautiful venue with mediocre food . A bit overpriced for the portions
This restaurant has become our Friday night, date night. Best to use Open Table to get a seat and enjoy the view and the music. Restrooms are always clean.
We had an enjoyable evening with good food, service with a smile, entertainment and a beautiful sunset.
Great food...drinks...service ! Spectacular sunset !!
I would highly recommend Tbe Lighthouse Grill at Stump Pass. I have been there many times and it's always very enjoyable. I particularly like being able to make reservations!
Always peaceful and cheery! Menu enhanced since my last visit
Another beautiful evening with friends listening to music and having dinner at the Lighthouse Grill. We’re looking forward to our next visit! Thanks
We have been to the lighthouse grill many times over the last few years. This last visit wasn't as good ( food wise) for some of our party . Whilst it wasn't bad , just very ordinary . so we didn't leave feeling the wow factor , we had previously.
The hot weather finally took a night off and it was very comfortable sitting outside looking over the Bay. The pound of cold shrimp went quickly amongst four satisfied people. We all had sandwiches two groupers, a mahi-mahi that were grilled and not dry and an Admirals Reuben that was very very good. The flourless chocolate torte was truly a chocolate lovers dream a MUST try, coffee was fresh and the service was excellent.
All in all I will be back and happily recommend this restaurant.
Our server was very slow and unobservant but very nice. The fish was dry but we have had other meals here and they were excellent so i will chalk it up to an off night.
Wonderful evening with sunset and a very enjoyable band. Love that the music was at a level to keep the evening relaxing. Calamari with its sweet sauce was a nice change from other restaurants. Very taste orange sesame salad dressing. Mahi mahi done very nicely. Thank you Emma, chefs and crew for great service to our table of 9.
Nice night and good food
Our go to place for good food, good music, great friendly knowledgeable staff.
The only thing I would suggest is that maybe they serve a pickle with the sandwiches. I think it would make for a well rounded plate presentation.
