LIFT Restaurant & Lounge
Service was horrible, we were placed at a table behind a plant and completely ignored by the servers. No one came by to even offer us water and it wasn't busy. People who can by after us were served first. We left after 20 minutes.
I really enjoy the quietness of your restaurant and thus the ability to actually have conversations. Service is always excellent as is the cleanliness. This may be a weird comment but the dishes and glasses and cups are very nice - there is just something nice about the ambiance they can create. My only "constructive" comment is the price - our bill with tip was $43 for 1 very small bowl of soup, 1 small Caesar salad, a club soda and two cups of tea.
I will definitely continue to go for the ambience but I was a bit surprised with the bill.
Our experice was excellent the waitress and service was also outstanding. We have come few times and every experice has been great.
Had steak frites.... Very good. My guests enjoyed their chicken
My first time at Lift. Met a friend for lunch and we both enjoyed it. Great selection, great food, attentive service.
The restaurant is located on the second floor of the Delta Hotel in an open area so didn't feel too closed in. The menu is limited, but there is a decent variety. Food is good, but not gourmet level. The burger was filling and tasty, the flatbread was good however the bread itself looked to be packaged, and the seafood chowder was hot and had lots of flavour (to my surprise). LIFT would be a nice spot for a casual meal.
Luc does an amazing job for us à a waiter. Génial!!!
Had a Ceasar salad prior to the fish and chip, one of the best I ever had. Great food and excellent service. Thanks!
Good food and service. Convenient for our visit to Ottawa. Nice candy surprise after meal.
A consistently solid performance especially for lunch. High end experience and reasonable price for the quality. Luc provides outstanding service.
We showed up and no reservations found .
Hostess incredibly rude.
The food and the service were both excellent. I was surprised that the restaurant was in a hotel; as in it was not clear from their website. The restaurant sits in a very open part of the mezzanine on the second floor of the Delta Hotel. I was expecting something more intimate. Aside from the ambience, it was a 5 star experience.
What would have helped this rating is if my party wasn’t sat in a back corner with no windows and dim lights when they had a plethora of open tables in the main area.
Steak was unreal, rib eye was moist and the sides that came with it nearly trumpt the steak... Phenomenal mains.
After making the reservation we get to the restaurant and no table available. Manager Gabriel said it was an oversight on his part. Finally get a lounge table! For diner!. Order a rhum & coke in tall glass. Comes in small glass with so much ice and a lemon!. Ask to get fix Receive a tall glass but with 3\4 fill with ice. Its was a joke. Lime and not lemon is what you put on such drink. This restaurant is part of the Delta hotel. they should mention this as approx 50 persons showed up for a drink!.
J’adore Luc! Il nous donne toujours un excellent service. Merci;)
Service was a little slow for main.
Shout out to Melanie our Server who made our special occasion wonderful - thank you!
Hadn’t been to Lyft in over a year and found the beer choice improved. Menu is long on appy choices that were very good; didn’t experience the meal menu but looks good too. The ambiance is ‘glass & brass’. Enjoyed our Friday end of week visit
Beer was flat. Food was also flat, I had the fish and chips, and the fish batter was basically soggy. The tartar sauce could have been better, it was more mayo than I like, but there was lots of it.
I wish that Lift's website made it very clear that the restaurant was part of the Delta hotel, had I known I wouldn't have gone there for dinner (it's possible that this info was laid out clearly and I missed this detail).
Anyway, $50 is too much for flat beer and soggy fish.
Food was decent, however terrible overall service. Took over an hour for entrees to arrive. Desert also took over 20 minutes to arrive. All for a party of 5 people. Would not recommend for a business meeting or to take a client.
I made the reservation 2 weeks in advance and they didn't check their ressevation list online so they refused to give me a table
The service was excellent and the food was delicious! The ambiance was not quick like the romantic dinning setting I was hoping for. I felt like I was sitting outside of the restaurant in the hallway of the hotel. I would recommend this restaurant for a dinner with family or friends but not for a date night.
Dependable for good food and excellent service.
The menu on open table was not the same as in restaurant.
They did not carry popular liquors for an Aperol Spritz.
No pleased about the menu as all items we looked at were not available.
I am speechless! Everything was beyond amazing!!! Thank you for making my birthday dinner unforgettable. I recommend 100%.
The food was excellent. We each had steak, one medium rare and one medium, and they were done exactly as ordered. Our server, Melissa, was perfect - attentive without being intrusive, and appeared to be genuinely happy. We lingered a bit and did not feel any pressure to leave before we we were ready. Overall a great evening!
Nice and chill place for a quick bite on weekdays. Pasta and fish n chips were both delicious.
Food was greatttt and server did a very good jobbbb
Good service and food
We went for a family lunch. Great ambient and service. Food quality/price ratio also good.
Good food and good service. A bit noisy because we were seated close to the bar, but otherwise everything was fine.
We had a great time at Lift it's my second visit! I took a flat bread pizza, it was very good but slightly under cooked - very ok but would have been nice to have the cheese a little past the just melted stage! Otherwise everything was delicious and the service was amazing!
Chef very accommodating to allergies, friendly service
We were a bit surprised as we walked up to the address showing on our map that this restaurant was in the Delta hotel - there wasn't a clear indication of that on the restaurant's website, and I didn't notice anything about it here on OpenTable. I've learned from this not to judge a book by its cover! Lift restaurant was so cute and the decor is fun and modern. The food was absolutely delicious, and there were options for any type of dietary restriction. We were very impressed with the menu and food all around. The drinks were superb - we had Caesars, a raspberry mojito and an amaretto sour - all expertly mixed. Our server was incredible - we would think about ordering another drink, and literally 10 seconds later he was there asking if we needed refills or anything else at the table. His attention to us was very appreciated. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised with this restaurant, and will never hesitate to try out a Delta hotel restaurant again!
Came here for a group dinner (4 couples). The service was great. The food was amazing. Coming into the restaurant, you'd think that it was really small bu it isn't. Restaurants like these should be considered more often then the regular spot everyone goes to. If you love food and you love to try out new places, I would recommend trying this place out. Great place for a quiet casual drink at the bar also.
Après on est allé boire des shots dans le bar d’en face. Pure soirée. 10/10 IGN
Everything about Lift was okay. There was absolutely nothing wrong and absolutely nothing special. A very neutral experience.
Nice restaurant and good staff. I was at a table of seven and for the most part the food was great but it had some inconsistencies. There was one plate of chicken that was over cooked and the asparagus was very salty but another plate of chicken was cooked well and not over salted. The same issue occurred between two plates of the teriyaki salmon. The meals were still enjoyable and I would recommend Lift to others.
After driving all day from Philadelphia and having an extremely difficult time getting to the hotel due to all the construction in that area we were too exhausted to go out of the hotel for dinner so we decided to eat at Lift - it was certainly more than adequate, but we would have preferred to try one of the many highly rated restaurants in Ottawa - Lift was fine in a pinch and very convenient.
