Went to Lido Restaurant even though there were a lot of bad reviews for the service and long wait times for food and drinks. We were treated politely from the moment we arrived. Our server was great, the drinks and food came out in a timely manner, and the lake views were beautiful. Went there to celebrate our anniversary and glad we did. Our experience was great and will be back.
Food a was delicious, service was great and views amazing!
Highly recommend! Amazing view, the server was checking on us the whole time, me and my husband enjoyed the sunset along with the food and the drinks. 👌
Such a great, beautiful spot. The short rib was the best I have ever had!
This was our first time and only time at Lido’s Restaurant. The staff was pleasant and our waitress was new to the job about 5 days and did not know how to explain the dishes or how it was presented on plate. My husband ordered a steak medium, mashed potato’s and a side of vegetables. All were awful. The steak as you can see in the pictures was grey, cold and most likely frozen before. The potatoes were instant and the vegetables were not fresh and we received cold. I ordered a risotto dish that also had zero flavor and was cold. You can tell by the “sweating” cheese on top. We took care of our waitress because we knew it was not her fault and we did not complain to management but we did learn a lesson not to go back. We boxed up all the food and left. We made two homeless people very happy that night. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Nice ambience, good food still working on their menu, pricing is ok, good for special occasions
Love it! Staff and the food was on point! We enjoyed the food!
Service was slow and inconsistent. I did not feel that the value matched the cost overall.
I really want to give this place the best review because I totally see the potential!! It’s beautiful, waitress was so kind, and view was incredible. This place NEEDS more staff. The group next to us left after ordering drinks and 45 minutes later never got them. The Baked Brei is INCREDIBLE. But the service needs to improve their timing. Other than that I loved it and will be back hopefully when they get some more people!
Btw: the live music was so good!!
Asked for an outdoor spot, said they can’t serve the one table that was open because not in system then 30 minutes later sat someone else there. After 40 minutes of being there a waitress came up to us once & then never got our drinks. Had to ask a runner to bring us water.
The location is very cool with the patio being on the water. You can tell the place is very new and does not really have it figured out. I would switch their whole menu. Drinks take too long and the food is not worth the money. I would not go back, maybe for drinks only but not food. Switch up the menu, either make it super fancy and amazing or make it lake vibe like.
Very poor service!
Made reservations for 4 people at 8pm. Checked in restaurant at 7:45pm.
Amazing location, friendly staff, not to busy, overall perfect ambience for a girls night out!
We were celebrating Life!! All the victories, all the lessons learned & enjoying each other's company. It's personal for me because I've been battling cancer for a year now & finally in remission!
15 min in & we had our drinks, appetizers & dinners ordered.
Drinks came in & as we talked the night away our waitress check on us a few times assuring the food would be out in a minute.
30 min went by & no appetizer or dinner...
At 40 min wait a young couple set close to us.
Within 10 min they had their appetizers, within 20 they had their food!!!!!!
Note that a second table of 4 that arrive 20 min or so after us was also served before!
WE WERE IN DISBELIEF !!!!
Approximately 1h had pass & we had just received our appetizer!!
Let me tell you, it was tasteless, dry & lacking seafood!
WE WERE NOW HUNGRY, IRRITATED & DISAPPOINTED at this so called high in restaurant!
We walked to the bar to pay & leave. Could no longer pretend this was ok. We vented to the staff behind the bar & someone went to check on our waitress. Waitress comes out apologizes & still present us with a bill! The audacity!!!
Shortly after someone's common sense kicked in waitress tell us they are not going to charge us! That was the bare minimum the management could've done!
It was past 9pm when we left this place!!
As unfortunate as this dinner attempt was we turned poison into medicine! We had gourmet burger's at in & out, enjoyed fresh food, fast, friendly service & ended the night laughing our situation away!
Not the best but I think it is because they are new. I will go back in a couple months to see if it gets better
Made reservation and asked specifically for outside or window seating for our 25th anniversary. Arrived and was told they don’t have any two tops outside only 6 tops and they were already reserved. No prob. Sat down in bar. Ok. Watched 4 tables sat outside with 2 people each. Irritated but whatever. Took forever to order. Had to keep asking for things. Drink menu, water, etc.
Husband ordered $59 steak medium rare and added a side salad. I ordered pasta with meatball. Food arrived. Husbands steak was literally raw. He normally would just eat and not say anything but for $59 he is going to get it the way he wants it! Send steak back. My order has pasta but no meatball. Have to ask. Never received salad. Sat forever and finally had to just ask for the check.
Was excited to try this place more because of the setting which was amazing but so disappointed with the food and service. Not sure we will be back.
The atmosphere was great! Unfortunately it took a long time to get drinks and food was only average and rather expensive. We ordered the baked brie and charcuterie board, both were good but did not come with enough bread/crackers. When we asked for additional bread, we were charged $8 for a small portion that was still not enough to compliment the appetizers and we felt should have been included with the original order.
Atmosphere, setting, and location was great! Found the food to be a little bland and the service was a bit slow but they did just open a bit ago. Has a lot of potential!
Steaks were over cooked and food was cool when it came out. Food did taste good just cold and over cooked. Mentioned it to the waitress and her response was "oh", end of discussion. They weren't busy and service was slow, waitstaff could be heard playing and we had to remind them of our appetizers. Figured that was the reason for cold food and no follow ups on what we needed. Drinks were great.
Beautiful set up. Good food. Good atmosphere. Really slow service from start to finish. Great potential but servers need to be trained.
Waited to be seated
Waited to be addressed by waiter. Drinks never came.
Our of 2 menu options on a very small menu on a Saturday night
To be honest, this place has potential, but they aren't quite there yet. You can only make reservations for up to 6 people online, but I was pleased that when I called to change our reservation from 6 to 8 people, they allowed me to as long as we came in half hour early. I saw this place advertised on Instagram and it looked like a great spot. The location is pristine and the view is great. However, the quality was lacking. Our waitress, Helen, was prompt with bringing us all water. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table and it took over 10 minutes to be dropped off. They were out of our first choice: all draft beer & tap margaritas. We ordered the crab artichoke dip, and although it was the best part of the meal, it only came with 5 small pieces of bread to dip in it. We asked for more bread to dip in it 2 times, and were disappointed to later find out each extra plate of 5 small pieces of bread was charged to our bill ($4 X 2 plates = $8 for bread, on top of the $19 appetizer). Lame. 2 of the 8 of us ordered the Frutti de Marre risotto, and the server came back to tell us they were out of that. My boyfriend ordered the meatball pasta- and they were also out of that. I switched my order to the salmon, and it was way over cooked. It was charred, which was tasty, but definitely too much. Because of having to change our orders, 3 of our entrees came out about 5 minutes later than the rest of the table. The portion size of the salmon was relatively small for a $30 entree. All of the food was not served at an appropriate temperature either... it was borderline cold. They had live music which was nice. We aren't snotty people and didn't have a terrible experience, but I definitely expected better for the price we paid. I hope they are able to work out the kinks because I would like to see this place grow, but if they continue to have these issues, I'm afraid they will go out of business relatively quickly.
My chicken was dry and burnt, not edible- no sauce. Overpriced AF
Only being open a couple of weeks, I’m giving them a mulligan for wait staff learning curve. I’m assuming the menu was limited for the cooks for the same reason. The food was very good.
I reserved a high top table and was told they were all taken upon arrival. One bartender so drinks coming out were slow and we cancelled a wine order. Menu is limited…needs expanding. Food was overseasoned or not warm enough. Lovely location but I won’t go back.
Food was mediocre at best and expensive for how not good it was. View was nice. Service was ok but a little slow.
Table was extremely wabaly they couldn't do nothing about it 😒. My wife drink came out within 5 minutes. My glass of wine which was filled half way took about 15 minutes. No server had no knowledge of any wine on the menu 😕. Artichoke and crab dip was literally nuke warm and tasted like rosemary gravy no crab or Artichokes in it. For what there trying to achieve with the prices, service, and atmosphere wasn't even close to be up to par. We wind up going to the capital grille to get wine and dined properly.
Service is not what I would expect from fine dining. Seemed like a bunch of kids having fun with their friends and not being serious.
Great new spot to grab drinks, enjoy some live music and take in a nice view. I was looking forward to sitting out on the patio but it was closed due to heat, can’t wait for that to open. Service was great, very attentive waiters and the food was also good!
The appetizers we got (Brie and short ribs) were better than the meals. The lobster bisque was not good. The entree selections were very limited. Some people may not find a meal they like if they have simple tastes. The best of all items was the salad with seared tuna on top. Make sure you check out the menu and the prices so you aren’t surprised. The servers have had no tastings of the food so we’re unable to help with food selection.
I have been to every reincarnation of this place for the past 30+ years. I love the location and want it to succeed. The remodel this time was not as refreshing as I had hoped but maybe they’ll continue to make upgrades.
They had no seating outside (too hot?) and that is the best part of the restaurant.
I think overall this restaurant will be best visited during happy hour.
Can’t wait to go back!!!! I recommend the Oyster Rockefeller! Can’t find those anywhere like that!
Needs more time to get their act together. Hard to tell on the very fist opening day. Lots of kinks. I think they are trying hard but I feel their menu is a little too high for the location. Would much prefer more of an easy all American menu. Flat breads, Bruschetta great burgers, salads ect.
A good happy hour menu and some live music. Hope them great success!
