Lido Bottle Works
American cuisine . Sophisticated, yet casual and approachable, LBW is
an unexpected surprise with an ambiance only those who have visited can describe.
Amazing food, great patio. Delicious deserts and attentive service!
Sunday afternoon lunch. I had the hash which was phenomenal and my husband had steak and fries. Service by Sarah was fantastic. Can’t wait to return and try the chicken sandwich.
Lovely place to celebrate! Bring a jacket as you know about our cool breezes
not my type of restaurant. Was told everything was grown on-site,...but how can there be no tomatos??
Also, where did the beef come from or the duck ??
The wine pairing dinner event was amazing! Each dish presented was beautifully presented, amazingly fresh and high quality. Attention to detail was apparent throughout the meal! Chef Amy was awesome, explaining each course! And the Alpha Omega wine was perfectly paired with each course!
I love the ambiance of Lido Bottle Works! The decor has a natural elegance, and the service is personal. We decided to try the November 6th, Five-course Wine Pairing. Chef Amy’s exquisite dishes were served with an amazing selection of Alpha Omega wines. One of my favorites was the Quail which was paired with AO Rose, 2018. I highly recommend this beautiful little restaurant you’ll find tucked away in Newport Harbor!
Our server was great and the wine and apps were very good, but it ended there. I ordered the catch of the day for $32 and I had to cut my fish with a knife! Partner ordered an over-priced steak. It was okay. And, we had to wait 45 minutes between apps and main course. Not okay. That said: the place is great; amazing location but that's not enough to get us to return.
Everything was amazing!
We have eaten here at least 5 times, and every time it has been great service, and great food. This time had very disappointing service. Our waitress made us feel rushed the whole time we were there. It was clear from the moment we sat down that she wanted to rush us through our meal. Very disappointing. The steak was great, the pork dish was disappointing, but all of all appetizers was great.
Had lunch there and were very disappointed overall in the food quality. Every seafood dish was exceedingly strong in odor. The construction of the dishes did not make sense. Nothing was good enough to ever go back for. The wine menu listed a wine we lived only to find out it was the wrong year. Not impressed.
Had a great time. There were 6 of us and they sat us outside at a BIG table. (Our of the 6, I’m the only local).
Standouts were the short rib croquettes, squid ink pasta with crab and honestly, the salad!
Nice wines, great views, and our server took great care of us.
We were asked to move tables in the middle of our meal which totally killed our date night vibe. We were moved to a terrible table right by the waitstand and kitchen- it was so noisy and busy in the kitchen.
We ended up leaving after we finished our appetizers and going to fable and spirit.
Food was okay
This is some of the best food I ever had. The portions were perfect and though pricey, each item ordered was worth it!
Good spot for drinks with a date. Fairly noisy so need a loud voice to talk.
Good food great vibes excellent service
Waitress was horrible. Very rude and rushed us the entire time. Had a passive aggressive attitude throughout the whole time. Food was poor and this was for a friends birthday. I called ahead of time to place an order for a dessert so that she could blow out some candles on her birthday and they completely forgot about it. I don’t normally write reviews after reservations but I am very disappointed with this dining experience.
Products are excellent. True farm to table restaurant. Quality is really high and the flavors were great. My favorite is the Burrata plate. We were 3 people around the table and we shared 5 plates (salty) and try 2 desserts.
It was a bit noisy but overall we enjoyed the night. Good choice of wines for ok price range.
I would go again and recommend.
Great service and amazing food. Always a great experience.
Just two good friends enjoying time together!
Our food was cold in our server was rude. It was an unfortunate experience!
good burrata salad, added salmon, but overall not worth the money.
Food was quite good and creative........ but waited for nearly half an hour for last item we'd ordered...... we left before it arrived. The server said 3 or 4 times that our food would be right up.......obviously poor communication there.
Another successful Beer Dinner event at Lido Bottle Works. From the delicious food creations of Chef Amy to the over the top service of Christina, Morgan and Brannigan...everyone in our group could not stop talking about attending the next event too.
It was wonderful as always!
The food was delicious apart from toasted salmon dish, we would go back but order differently...
The menu was primarily tapas but we went for an entree to split and a couple statutes. Our hostess was wonderful. The biggest reason for a 4 star is that the noise was absolutely horrible. I know little can be done but it was really difficult to relax. I wonder if the tables being so tight could be to blame
We had a great time sharing wonderful food while catching up with old friends
Small + intimate with a charming interior. Bartender was really great at guiding my food + bev choices, pairing things perfectly. Chef was so nice + chatted about what she creates. As a person that hates polenta, the polenta crutons on the gem salad we're sent from heaven. Perfect texture, perfect flavor -- that is what polenta should taste like. Also, great wines by the glass. Hope to get back there soon.
Well done. Professional service. All good. Consistent; a frequent visit.
Food, beer and service all great! Stand outs were the burrata and iberico pork. Will be back soon.
Went there with a group of 5 for a birthday dinner. It's a smaller place so definitely recommend a reservation! Our server was really great (I feel bad I forgot his name!) It's right on the water next to yachts and we saw a beautiful sunset. The food was OUTSTANDING. I was slightly worried about a birthday dinner w/ such a limited menu but everyone loved what they ordered. We talked about it all night. You can tell they take their food seriously and every item is thoughtfully made. Would absolutely go back!
Good beer menu, local, regional and away. Nice bar to hang n enjoy a meal. Menu appeared to suit all pallets and well prepared. Not a large Vis place, comfortable with an outside patio. Right across from party boat docks, good show to watch.
My rating would have been much higher, because three of the four meals were great. The service to our table was good, but it took a long time to get our meal in an early uncrowded restaurant. My big complaint it that I made the reservation approximately 10 days in advance and mentioned that I would like a vegan meal for my wife. All that was available was humus, salad and french fries. Zinque, Nobu and Malibu Farms have great vegan options. All over Newport vegan options are available. LBWs is too good a restaurant not to have an vegan meal on the menu! I would recommend LBWs to non-vegans, but unfortunately my wife and I won't be back. This is sad because we live on Lido Isle and come to Lido Village to eat regularly.
Amazing food and service
Must dine here
Food and service was amazing! Great area and views for drinks and food. There's an awesome variety of foods from share plate style to full meal on the menu. There was also a large beer and wine selection. The only suggestion we would make is having coffee/tea or after dinner type drinks (Bailey's & coffee, etc.). The desserts we did have were delish!!!
Great seat. Unfortunately one person didn’t get meal until most everyone was finished.
Food and service were both phenomenal. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Great brunch spot for a sunny Saturday afternoon at the docks. Ordered a bottle of sparkling to share between two of us, which was decently priced. I've always enjoyed my visits to LBW and will be back again.
We ended up here for a late lunch on a Monday, so a completely different vibe than evenings or weekends. We were one of maybe 3 tables in the place. All four meals were just Ok - the burrata salad had a large amount of burrata with stone fruit pieces under it. It wasn't super flavorful or seasoned. The fish tacos were overly seasoned but probably the best thing ordered. Ahi salad was very bland. Service was very nice, but a little slow (though I think it may be more from the kitchen being slow that time of day). If I go back it will be in the evening when there are more people and I'd order the charcuterie and cheese and have some wine. I'm sure that's where they shine is the bottles...
