My husband and I took his very picky parents. They went in with a scowl on their face and came out loving it. My father-in-law had the chicken livers. Not only did he say they were excellent chicken livers, but he said those were the best he's ever had and other restaurants will be hard to beat them! Thank you, Lidia's for successfully breaking them out of their comfort zone!

The pasta trio was awesome. I noticed they have raised their prices and the waitress said it was the same portion size as before. I think $65 for a steak is outrageous. But always a great place!

We had a great meal at Lidia's while visiting KC over the weekend. The ambiance is great and the restaurant does a great job with handling a large number of diners. The food was excellent.

Lived in KC my whole life and have never been to this restaurant. Decided to treat my sister to a Birthday lunch with other family members. Wow, so impressed with our dining experience, food was superb. Our waitress was friendly and took good care of us! Only Regret that I didn’t try this place sooner.

Your tables for two are just too small. Add a salad, your entree, a bottle of wine, and bread and you are very uncomfortable and feel cramped. Not pleasant dining experience. We had two Different daily special menus presented to us. Service was slow or confused. Bus boys were fantastic and work hard. Nice job there.

At peak times, you must definitely get a reservation, but because we arrived at 4:15, the rush was not huge. This is your Carb-load, if you want to. There are unlimited pasta dishes here - to get your Pasta on. The ravioli is really light and easy to eat. Also, for the average person, this is a bit pricey, but this is Lidia's - you get a lot for what you pay.

Lidias was excellent as usual. My wife really liked her salmon and my son and I enjoyed the pasta trio. I always get the pasta trio and am in a rut. One day I will try something else.

Our server didn't seem very knowledgable about the food or drinks available and she seemed like she really wanted to be somewhere else besides at work there.
My entree had 3 half inch cubes of squash and 3 very small brussel sprouts cut in half, they tasted good what little of it there was. The chicken was over seared and dry.

I have been dining at Lidia's since it opened, 2-3 times a year. I have noticed a decline over the years. Prices keep going up and food quality goes down. Usually the meals are great but this one was just okay. For the money spent, the value wasn't there. The food wasn't bad but wasn't anything special.

Lidia’s is our favorite spot for Italian food. We enjoy every special occasion we can here. The food is consistently high quality. We always request our favorite server Peter. He remembers our favorites and has recommended great wines to accompany our meal. His attention to details makes all our visits special.

We had a wonderful business lunch with clients at Lidia's. The food was scrumptious and I definitely appreciated the GF options. The ambiance is delightful.

The only thing I would change was the attentiveness of the waitstaff. It was not terribly busy and we had to wait for drink refills. After clients left, my business partner and I stayed behind to wrap up, and our server simply disappeared. We would have liked more drinks and finally had to go to the bar to pay our bill. The server was visible and talking with someone at the bar. It was a bit frustrating after the great meal.

Birthday celebration.

Very pricey for food about like chain restaurants. Service did not match prices. Empty glasses were left on table when fresh drinks were delivered.

The signature dish Three Pastas was disappointing. The server did not tell us that one of the dishes contained shell fish ( shrimp). The ravioli was okay but mostly pasta. The servers only came around if you could flag down your server and asked for more. Hardly never ending.

The lasagna was not very good. The lemon chicken was good.

Overall, you can get much better food at more reasonable prices at other non-chain restaurants.

Fantastic time was had for our Easter lunch. My parents, sister, and husband were there, and we were all very happy with the delicious food and friendly staff. We were taken care of the entire time, but we never felt like we were being rushed. We each ordered a different entree, so we could sample a little off of each plate, and all was so good!

After 15 years four professional friends had a delightful reunion at Lidia's. Convenient to downtown KC this location presented a great place for us all to meet. The food was excellent and the menu provided several options for our vegetarian friend. I recommend the pasta trio which was seasoned perfectly (not too salty), but save room for a delicious dessert.

My reservation for one was offered much later than a reservation for two would have been. When I got there, they seemed to struggle with finding me a seat, although numerous other couples and small groups came in and were seated almost immediately. The food was very good and my server attentive. Very noisy, but happy and boisterous.

I had a dinner reeervation, but was there early. The happy hour appetizers and drinks were incredible. The bar staff was phenomenal.
When my fiancé got to the restaurant, we sat in the dining room for dinner. I ordered the zucca and he had the trio. His trio had very little flavor, and was dry, my zucca had little to no filling and was sitting in a pool of water. Terrible food, and extremely overpriced. I would only go to Lidia’s again for happy hour and appetizers.

Unfortunately our visit to Lidia’s on Friday evening was not good. We ordered the Polipo and the Octopus was too tough to eat. It was also overly spicy with red pepper flakes coating everything. This is the first time we ordered this that it wasn’t eatable. It’s one of my favorite things on their menu. We order every time. Our server asked if there was a problem. We explained and he shrugged and told us our entrees would be out soon. I ordered the Melanzane and the eggplant was tough and dry. My daughter ordered the lasagna and the favor was off. Our server didn’t return to ask how our meal was going. He showed up after our full plates were picked up to ask if we wanted desert. Thankfully our deserts were fabulous as we were hungry. I highly recommend the Torta al Cioccolato di Arachidi. The peanut butter and chocolate was delicious and their coffee is excellent.
