The food was not up to the usual deliciousness of Lidias on the pasta trio this time. I will have to rethink bringing a client there again.
We went here for our anniversary, and we weren’t disappointed! The food was very good and our server was attentive.
As always great food! The atmosphere and service equally amazing. Always a favorite if youre in the mood for awesome Italian food!
Very nice! Food was excellent, service was great. The staff was friendly and professional.
We were Not plased with several meals. One was lamb chops ordered medium were well done and about 1fourth inch thick. Duck breast was almost raw and barely warm, and lastly OVERCOOKED pasta dish.Lidia would have not been pleased and we expected the manager to assist us,however he made a joke about "baby lamb chops "that were THIN. We were surprised as we have had much better meals in the past and this restaurant was the choice of my sister and niece from Florida. We expected better response from the manager . The waitress Rachel was friendly and helpful. We will not be returning anytime soon.
Love the fresh pasta and all the choices. The Caesar salad is fabulous. So fresh and delicious. Our server was great as well. She was very friendly and gave us some great suggestions for dinner.
I just love this place! We were here to celebrate our anniversary, and the staff were outstanding! They welcomed us and told us happy anniversary numerous times, took our picture, and gave us a dessert. I ate the Gnocchi with Duck Ragu, which is to die for, and my husband had the pasta trio which he enjoyed. I had a piece of his lobster ravioli...AMAZING! If you have never eaten at any of Lidia's restaurants, stop what you are doing and go! NOW!
Fabulous as always! We drive across state from STL once a year to celebrate Mom’s birthday. It’s our favorite annual tradition. Delicious! Thank you Team Lidia’s for giving us a special night.
Always a pleasure eating at Lidia’s when KC. The pasta is superb. Rachel, our server, was warm, attentive and knowledgeable. Ambiance was perfect, we were the last table out that night.
Overall great we go every year for my wife’s birthday.
Lovely dinner. Excellent food and excellent service!
I made reservations for 2 at 10:30 on a Sunday for brunch. The hostess seated a couple with a 10:45 reservation AND a couple with NO reservation BEFORE us. Luckily a server named Peter saw I was displeased, sat us, and provided good service. I emailed the restaurant and received no response from Mary Anne McNeish. Contacted Terra Hammond, who said she would forward my complaint to Jeremy Lamb. I have received no apology from the restaurant and no response from Jeremy or Mary Anne. The hostess clearly needs more training. Seat 10:30 reservation, then 10:45, then walk-in.
I was so disappointed about Lidia’s. I’ve been wanting to try it for a year now and finally decided to go out there as a special occasion. We walked in on Sunday and asked if we could order off of the lunch menu because we didn’t want to do brunch and was told that we could and then when we went to order we were told there was a $5 surge charge per each dish because we were ordering off of the regular menu. We wouldn’t have bothered going there if that was the case. It makes no sense to charge more because you don’t want brunch. More so, the lunch menu was sitting in the front entrance! Highly disappointing.
Another sour note, we showed up and sat down for our reservation and told the waitress we didn’t want to pay an extra $10 so we decided to go elsewhere. They posted on open table that I was a no show and had to dispute it.
Food, atmosphere and service… As always, outstanding! Wine list is very good as well…we come routinely...great coffee & seasonal desserts!
Wonderful ‘go to’ restaurant. They always are top notch. Good for dates or taking your parents out- doesn’t matter Lidia’s is so consistent at delivering a quality dining experience it should be on everybody’s list to visit
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Amazing dinner with Matthew!!
Overpriced and overated. Service was good but nothing else to really talk about. Servings so small, we left hungry. I had the lamb and it was good, but just a few ounces.
My wife and I love Lidia's for brunch. The dessert and antipasto table is outstanding. This weeks soups was Minestra and it was fabulous. The pasta trio was also good and my wife had the Sunday Sauce and it was great. Well worth the money and the service is 5 star. We will be back.
Restaurant was overbooked. Sat about 25 minutes after our reservation time. Food was excellent. Ambiance was louder than usual. Still like the restaurant, but it was a disappointing experience this time.
The food was impeccable. We had a large party and they never hesitated to accomadate our requests. Ready to go back!
Great food in a wonderful environment. Highly recommended and always excited to get the chance to eat here.
We always love going to Lidias for our anniversary. The Caesar salad is amazing!
Our pasta was amazing. We had the special for the day. Everyone loved it!
This was an anniversary dinner and while it was not necessarily a quiet, intimate dinner (just due to the sheer size of the restaurant), it was amazing nonetheless. They had our reservation and saw it was our anniversary and gave us an amazing table back in the corner. Our waitress was amazing and even gifted us with an extra dessert for our anniversary! While the duck gnocchi was really great, the stand out was the bottomless pasta, specifically the ravioli! Hands down the best ravioli I have ever had! Will definitely go to Lidia’s again, next time we are in KC.
Service very slow. Over 2 hours for meal. Ordered pasta trio. Never came back to see if we wanted more. Walked by our table many times. Finally nabbed our waitress told her. 5 minutes later she said they are making a fresh pan. Another few minutes they brought it our
We were early and ate outside. We were the only table so it was very quiet and private. The food was amazing. Everything was outstanding.
Sadly over the years, everything about the restaurant has deteriorated. It lacks the polish and attention to detail it originally had. The food was mediocre. The service was adequate but not memorable. There are too many competitors in the market now to be mediocre.
Poor service and mediocre food. We have tried several times to like Lidia's but won’t try again. Consistently bad service. Very disappointing
Terrible service! Terrible ambience!! Mouse trap right night to my foot in the crap table they sat us in the corner!!!! Horrible horrible stay away!!! They can’t keep up with the menu items. Servers don’t care! They bring out the food in frying pans. Witnessed one server dish up someone’s food and walked away with a noodle dragging on the customers back. Then he went to another table and fished them up! So disgusting!!!
Everything was to our satisfaction. We asked and were moved to a quieter location. The service was
attentive and food came out in good time. The only thing I disapprove of when eating out, is when
the waiter takes your bill/tip before you've left the table, which he did.
Drove 2 hours from Columbia into KC to see Hamilton at the Music Hall. Having eaten at the flagship Becco restaurant in NYC many times, was excited to make this a special evening by starting with dinner at Lidias. Had the usual house specialty - 3 course/3 pasta dinner. Caesar was good. Dessert was luscious. Service was great, including the waiter's wine recommendation. BUT - 2 of the 3 pastas were salty to the point of being barely edible. A disappointing meal after looking forward to it for so many weeks. I'm sure it was just a bit of an anomaly, but I doubt I'd make a point of returning next time in KC. Becco in NY though, will definitely return.
What a lovely dinner we had! Made reservations, found parking to be level and close to the front door. Was seated almost immediately. The best table was ready for us and our server was lovely. The choices were so hard to narrow down but then I found that I didn't have to choose because they have a samplers choice with salad and dessert! Sold! Will be spending many more date nights here! Thanks Lydia!
The service and food were great! I would go back again.
The food was excellent. Wait staff were attentive and pleasant. We did not feel hurried at all.
This is an awesome place to eat for any occasion. We celebrated our 36th Anniversary there on Sunday.
Great waiter! Food amazing as always!
This was a Birthday lunch for a dear friend. We hadn’t seen each other in a while. I felt like our server wanted to rush us. It was not crowded. We were there less than two hours.
Lidia's never disappoints. We were back in town for the weekend and made sure to make it back. Lovely setting, great food and wonderful service. Try the lemon cake with rose ice cream for dessert -- it was fantastic!
Always consistently great. I can always rest assured of great good and service
