Liberty Street Grill is a great family-style restaurant in Savannah, Georgia. It boasts cozy yet stylish ambiance that is ideal for a date, to meet friends for dinner or to take your whole family out for a big meal. Many diners here start their meal with an order of calamari with a delicious pesto and tomato dipping sauce, or with one of the other delightful appetizers.
At Liberty Street Grill, customers can choose from a number of different entrées, including fresh seafood options, including scallops, grouper with lump crab meat or a tasty, traditional southern classic – shrimp and grits.
Quiet. This place needs to find it's identity. Everything was weird from the decor to the service. I'd be surprised if they stay in business.
Super casual atmosphere, with a really amazing menu. Had a great dinner and will be back for more food and drinks soon!!!!
The owner could add some carpet or drapes of some type of fabric hangings to help control the volume and make it a much more enjoyable experience. We tried to go back on a weekend without a reservation and could not get close to a table, so maybe they don;t need to to.
Our dinners were divine and had unique touches, like smoked tomatoes.... Mmmm. Service was quick and attentive. Southern fancy.
A neighborhood gem which IS fit for foodies. My shrimp and grits were marvelous and at half the price of the "named restaurants on the river. The hanger steak was to die for & the meat & cheese appetizer was a great combo of cheese and foie gras.
A great place to come back to next time we are in Savannah!
Super food at a reasonable price! Hanger steak, shrimp and grits, rib eye and duck were excellent. Had hamburgers and po boys on previous visits and were just as good as the higher end options. Quiet, free parking and ability to make reservations make this gem a huge hit with us!!
We love Liberty Street Grill -- the food and service are always excellent. There's enough variety in the menu to make it interesting, but they also keep some of the standard choices that we enjoy. We've taken out-of-town foodies who have been impressed, as well as locals. A real plus is that they have their own parking, which can often be a problem with in-town restaurants, especially on the weekend.
Definitely the best value in Savannah
All dishes were well prepared with top quality ingredients
The only drawback might be the location away from the crowd of you like a crowd
We dined in the courtyard and it was an absolutely wonderful place to spend a Wednesday evening. We had the scallop appetizer and it was supreme. I had my usual fresh catch, the grouper BLT special and my dining partner had the salmon. He said it was the best he had ever had. I also had two top shelf margaritas that were also great. Nim was our server and he provided excellent attentive service without being intrusive. It was a lovely evening.
We started off with two orders of wing. The Wilber and the China Marine.
Both flavors were great.
We also each had a po boy. The fish was a large filet and good blackened flavor. The shrimp
was also good with large shrimp, it was very filling, and a little to go for a snack.
The fresh chips are very good.
Eaten here several times in past year and it's all been good. Fish dishes excellent and lamb chops to die for. Service good, ambiance local and low key - what's not to like
This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants, whether we're alone or with friends. In good weather, it's nice to eat outside. They have great food -- some exotic items, as well as one of the best burgers in town. Prices are good, service is great, and we keep going back, alone, with friends from here and with out-of-town guests. We've never been disappointed. On top of all the other good things, they have off-street parking.
4 of us went the other day as a last minute choice . we had been in town for a few days and had been trying different places around savannah. when you first walkin you can tell it's going to be noisey. i'd say the food was very good. the drinks were very good. the service was very good but what will bring us back are the prices. it's very resonable compared to other restaurants around town.
We have always had great food and great service at this restaurant. The menu specials change, according to season, but we've never been disappointed in either the specials or the service. I ordered gazpacho, which came with shrimp. My husband ordered the gumbo, which was as good as it gets. They have one of the best burgers in town, if you're not up to something more adventurous. And don't forget the fries -- out of this world. Prices are good; you can eat outside; and there is free parking. Dining out doesn't get better than that!
Terrific service and incredible food! Not geared for kids, but they did accommodate us in a pinch. Chef whipped up 3 kids choices and all were a hit! Did I mention the service was outstanding?!
Feels more like a sports bar with food than a sit down restaurant. Good food, but would not go there again to actually have a civil conversation. Too many diners in one space with bad acoustics. And that is too bad because the Staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was tasty.
Food excellent, atmosphere not. Plus it was Restaurant Week, and we had to ask for that menu. Then they did not have the entree my husband wanted. Ok. I ordered trout, but received salmon with no explanation. The food is good, but the rest of the operation needs to catch up.
We had just arrived in Savannah and needed a place to relax and eat. While traveling we like to eat local. They food was excellent and so was the service.
I ordered the fresh catch of the day, red drum, served on a succotash of lima beans and corn. The fish was dry although the caper beurre blanc sauce was good if scant. The main offering on the plate was the lima mix and they were brown...not exactly appetizing to see. The wine was fine and the service was great. Perhaps we can try for a different type of meal.
Parking is great and that is a real advantage in Savannah.
Steaks were excellent as well as fries, fish was ok (little bland), service was great & staff couldn't have been better! Will be back!
Our go to place after the evening Mass on Sat. evening. Restaurant parking lot a big plus.
Rib steak and hanger steak were great. Huge tasty salads.
Sservervwilling to substitute sides upon request.
Best BLT ever! Using a hoagie roll and great bacon made it unforgettable.
Good food; well served. Handled the broadcast of the Belmont well so that all could see and hear.
This was a nice spot for a small group dinner. There were ample selections. Casual venue.
We liked Liberty St. Grill well enough, but if it had been any busier the noise level would have been unpleasant. The service was also fine, but not polished. The food was also okay, but not outstanding. Wine/beer list was limited but well priced. Overall, it wasn't a good value. I would probably go back from happy hour or lunch, but not dinner.
Our service was outstanding and our food was very good .
Our experience was friendly and cheerful -- but the noise in the room was overwhelming.
You could not hear the people at your same table!!!
You guys really need some rugs and curtains -- something to help absorb the sound.
Although the food and service were great it would be difficult for me to come back or recommend the restaurant because of how loud it was. It was not relaxing and you couldn't converse with your friends.
both our main courses, hanger steak and creole fried chicken were excellent
a little noisy inside, outside looked quieter and nice
Food was very good and very reasonablypriced. Rachael, our server, was excellent. Has it's own parking lot which is a real bonus in Savannah where parking can be a challenge.
Outstanding ambiance. Tables not to close together. Quiet. You can have a civilized conversation.
