Quiet. This place needs to find it's identity. Everything was weird from the decor to the service. I'd be surprised if they stay in business.

The owner could add some carpet or drapes of some type of fabric hangings to help control the volume and make it a much more enjoyable experience. We tried to go back on a weekend without a reservation and could not get close to a table, so maybe they don;t need to to.

Our dinners were divine and had unique touches, like smoked tomatoes.... Mmmm. Service was quick and attentive. Southern fancy.

A neighborhood gem which IS fit for foodies. My shrimp and grits were marvelous and at half the price of the "named restaurants on the river. The hanger steak was to die for & the meat & cheese appetizer was a great combo of cheese and foie gras.

A great place to come back to next time we are in Savannah!

Super food at a reasonable price! Hanger steak, shrimp and grits, rib eye and duck were excellent. Had hamburgers and po boys on previous visits and were just as good as the higher end options. Quiet, free parking and ability to make reservations make this gem a huge hit with us!!

We love Liberty Street Grill -- the food and service are always excellent. There's enough variety in the menu to make it interesting, but they also keep some of the standard choices that we enjoy. We've taken out-of-town foodies who have been impressed, as well as locals. A real plus is that they have their own parking, which can often be a problem with in-town restaurants, especially on the weekend.

Definitely the best value in Savannah
All dishes were well prepared with top quality ingredients
The only drawback might be the location away from the crowd of you like a crowd

We dined in the courtyard and it was an absolutely wonderful place to spend a Wednesday evening. We had the scallop appetizer and it was supreme. I had my usual fresh catch, the grouper BLT special and my dining partner had the salmon. He said it was the best he had ever had. I also had two top shelf margaritas that were also great. Nim was our server and he provided excellent attentive service without being intrusive. It was a lovely evening.

We started off with two orders of wing. The Wilber and the China Marine.
Both flavors were great.
We also each had a po boy. The fish was a large filet and good blackened flavor. The shrimp
was also good with large shrimp, it was very filling, and a little to go for a snack.
The fresh chips are very good.

Eaten here several times in past year and it's all been good. Fish dishes excellent and lamb chops to die for. Service good, ambiance local and low key - what's not to like

This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants, whether we're alone or with friends. In good weather, it's nice to eat outside. They have great food -- some exotic items, as well as one of the best burgers in town. Prices are good, service is great, and we keep going back, alone, with friends from here and with out-of-town guests. We've never been disappointed. On top of all the other good things, they have off-street parking.

4 of us went the other day as a last minute choice . we had been in town for a few days and had been trying different places around savannah. when you first walkin you can tell it's going to be noisey. i'd say the food was very good. the drinks were very good. the service was very good but what will bring us back are the prices. it's very resonable compared to other restaurants around town.

We have always had great food and great service at this restaurant. The menu specials change, according to season, but we've never been disappointed in either the specials or the service. I ordered gazpacho, which came with shrimp. My husband ordered the gumbo, which was as good as it gets. They have one of the best burgers in town, if you're not up to something more adventurous. And don't forget the fries -- out of this world. Prices are good; you can eat outside; and there is free parking. Dining out doesn't get better than that!

Terrific service and incredible food! Not geared for kids, but they did accommodate us in a pinch. Chef whipped up 3 kids choices and all were a hit! Did I mention the service was outstanding?!

Feels more like a sports bar with food than a sit down restaurant. Good food, but would not go there again to actually have a civil conversation. Too many diners in one space with bad acoustics. And that is too bad because the Staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was tasty.

Food excellent, atmosphere not. Plus it was Restaurant Week, and we had to ask for that menu. Then they did not have the entree my husband wanted. Ok. I ordered trout, but received salmon with no explanation. The food is good, but the rest of the operation needs to catch up.

I ordered the fresh catch of the day, red drum, served on a succotash of lima beans and corn. The fish was dry although the caper beurre blanc sauce was good if scant. The main offering on the plate was the lima mix and they were brown...not exactly appetizing to see. The wine was fine and the service was great. Perhaps we can try for a different type of meal.

Parking is great and that is a real advantage in Savannah.

We liked Liberty St. Grill well enough, but if it had been any busier the noise level would have been unpleasant. The service was also fine, but not polished. The food was also okay, but not outstanding. Wine/beer list was limited but well priced. Overall, it wasn't a good value. I would probably go back from happy hour or lunch, but not dinner.

Our service was outstanding and our food was very good .
Our experience was friendly and cheerful -- but the noise in the room was overwhelming.
You could not hear the people at your same table!!!
You guys really need some rugs and curtains -- something to help absorb the sound.
Although the food and service were great it would be difficult for me to come back or recommend the restaurant because of how loud it was. It was not relaxing and you couldn't converse with your friends.

We were a party of four and we all enjoyed our meals. The halibut was fresh that day, served with REAL mashed potatoes. The fries, cooked in duck fat are absolutely addictive. The only negative comments was the bartender who was not up to game, too busy talking, seemed he had a difficult time getting our drinks (4) out at the same time.

I will definitely go back and recommend this place, lunch or dinner.

We were regular diners at Brasserie and were disappointed when they closed down but we love everything they've done in recreating themselves as the Liberty Street Grill. All of our selections were fresh and delicious - Seared Foie Gras, Duck Confit, Spinach Salad, and Seared Scallops. This was a fantastic mid-week treat after a busy work day when we just didn't feel like cooking dinner. The quiet ambience of the dining room and the friendly wait staff will keep this restaurant at the top of our favorite escapes.

This was our first visit to the Liberty Street Grill since its reincarnation. We had been several times to its more upscale predecessor. The menu is fairly small and about 1/3 is sandwiches. There are still some fine dinner selections and specials that should satisfy most foodies, though. The foie gras was absolutely excellent, the hit of the meal for us. The seared scallops were very good, and the blackened fish for a sandwich was nicely seasoned (not overly spiced) but a little mushy in texture.

It was fairly busy on the Saturday evening we were there, though we had no problem getting a reservation less than 2 hours ahead.

The waitress was OK, but when I asked what was the red listed with the tap beers, she said it was a bulk red wine and bothered to explain that it was half price during happy hour. I thought she meant that that happy hour was still on, so I ordered it. I later realized that we had come in a few minutes after the end of the happy hour. Sure enough it was full price on our bill.

A significant negative in our experience was the noise level, which made conversation and communication with the waitress strained. Part of the noise was from the many people at the bar (with NCAA basketball on TV) with additions from diners at tables competing to make themselves heard. The "energetic" noise level keeps me from recommending the Liberty Street Grill as "romantic" or "special occasion."

This was our third time dining at the Liberty St Grill. We went early Sat evening and Sat outside as the noise level inside on our previous visit (7 pm on Sat night) was unpleasant. Again, the food was outstanding. The menu is casual but creative and very well executed. The Farmers board is much more interesting than it sounds with house made chorizo, cured ham, several cheeses, terrines, cornichon, honey comb. The duck confit, pork chops, hamburger were all excellent as were the salads. I would suggest that they clean up the outside area a bit as it is a great space but needs a little TLC.

Four of us tried this restaurant for dinner. Our table was waiting and the room was attractive. The noise level was so high that our server had to lean in to each of us to hear our order. Dinner conversation was impossible.
We had four different dishes and they were OK for the price. However, I had a bowl of lobster bisque that was $8 and was no more than a half-cup serving. Way out of line.
We won't be going back unless we hear that they have made major improvements.

The farmer's board was very good, the lobster salad appetizer was great. We enjoyed our main courses, the snapper special and the pork chop were the biggest hits of the four we tried. Drinks were okay; it took a really long time to get them and the bar didn't seem especially busy. Also, my martini wasn't cold enough.
