Our dining experience with Claudia, our server, was superb. We are discerning eaters, but not pretentious. We love great quality food prepared with “love.” Elegance coupled with passionate cooking made this dining experience one of the best we’ve had in a very long time.
Thank you! We will be back with friends and recommend LSB to everyone we know!

Always great. Food 5 stars. Will continue to go there.
Delightful, knowledgable service for a well balanced innovative menu of beautifully prepared and delicious locally sourced food. Really a top notch kitchen and a very varied wine menu.
Everything was great.....service, food, drink and ambiance.....definately coming back
Liberty st is like great wine-gets beter n better w age!!
We had an amazing brunch! The restaurant was very accommodating and made my husbands birthday very special. The food was exceptional and the drinks were spot on. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The food and service was fabulous. Gem of a restaurant!
This is my third visit to the Liberty Street Bistro. The first two were wine dinners, one held by a group I belong to and one offered by Liberty Street. We needed to meet long time friends now living in Middletown for a Sunday Brunch. Splitting the difference (we live in Poughkeepsie) brought us to the Bistro. Everything about it was conduce to a pleasant Sunday afternoon: the food, the service, the spaciousness, and the pleasant and cordial manager and servers.
I also appreciate the separation of the dining area from the bar, which made conversation possible.
While we did not drink alcohol, I believe that they probably have a good wine list, as our first two experiences there were fine wine dinners.
Food and service was good but I was disappointed When I mentioned in the reservations that it was my birthday and no one made me feel special.
We went on Monday, Pasta Night. The pastas were good and creative, but were outshone by the appetizers and desserts, which were outstanding, and are on the regular dinner menu.
A specialty Pretty in Pink cocktail was good and would’ve been even better with a touch more St. Germaine for sweetness. The wine-by-the-glass pairings for the entrees matched them quite well.
The space is attractive, at once casual and dressed up a bit, in a modern style. If a gregarious, happy laughing group comes in, as happened whilst we were there, the noise leve can hit that “energetic” mark, but is otherwise moderate.
Service and help making food and drink choices were both excellent.
Very worth a visit, especially for dinner when the most creative options are available.
We decided to eat here prior to our “fireworks” cruise. The reviews are ON target. We were greeted by Rosie our waitress. She was personable, knowledgeable & very helpful. The food & pairing were excellent. I recommend the froie gras & raviolis!! Actually all our picks were delicious...puts Manhattan to shame! Thank you for wonderful birthday dinner!
Excellent date night in Newburgh. Thoughtful menu, wide variety of creative and tasty options, attentive but not intrusive service. Highly recommend. Lived up to the hype.
I've been to MANY restaurants all over the Hudson Valley, so much so I've written blogs about it. When asked where my favorite place is of all time, I always say Liberty Street Bistro. If you are a true "foodie" you will love it; however if you are a hungry jack, you will not be satisfied.
We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and everyone at the restaurant went out of their way to ensure it was a special event. We each had the three course tasting menu and each course was exactly what we wanted it to be.
The staff were sensitive to our preferences and were able to change some of the wine pairings that came with the three course menu.
While all the food was wonderful (and, when everything is so well made, you should probably pick what sounds best to you) I must recommend the Kouign Amann which might be the best thing I've ever eaten, dessert or otherwise.
Dining here is always a special experience. The food is simply fantastic--you can find a restaurant like this outside of Manhattan. The ambiance is perfect and the service always fantastic. Walking up and down Liberty and down the waterfront is always a treat afterwards.
The food and service were outstanding. The Foie Gras appetizer was to die for. The pork wellington and salmon were top quality too. Desert and wine too was fab. Will plan to go back several times. Must go there.
My husband and I enjoyed everything about the restaurant...the food, service and ambiance were excellent. We celebrated our Anniversary and they gave us a complimentary glass of special champagne. We would highly recommend trying for yourself
My girlfriend and I celebrated her birthday there. Although I am a vegetarian and there are no actual vegetarian options the chef was very accommodating and created some on the spot. The food was excellent the presentation was artful and the staff was gracious. We will unquestionably be returning.
Service was outstanding and the food was very good!!!
We ate at Liberty St. while in NY for a quick weekend visit at Storm King and the DIA. We found it online and made a reservation based on the reviews. It was great! I especially loved the Duck Breast. It was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway date night.
An amazing 5 star experience. You have a choice of 1-4 course tasting menu with or without wine pairing. We choose 3 courses with pairing. Gnocchi, pork loin Wellington, a Kouign Amann for me. Foie Gras, Duck Breast, Chocolate Mousse for my mate. Everything was fresh, creative but not contrived, beautiful and of more then delicious. I cannot rave enough about this meal. We are urban, well traveled foodies and it was one of our top meals ever! The price was super reasonable as well - Just over 200 with tax, tip and wine. For the experience was worth every penny.
Absolutely beautiful. The food was AMAZING. Everything tasted delicious and the service was five stars. Definitely coming back again.
Mother’s Day brunch was fantastic! From the moment we walked in to moment we left everything was delightful. Server was sweet and knowledgable. Food was amazing and each mother was given a pink rose as an added touch. Thank you for making this day so special.
Great place, nice concept, high quality culinary menu and attention to detail. Staff was great too! Happy to see something like this in Newburgh NY.
A wonderful new addition to our list of favorite spots to dine. We will return, and highly recommend it.
Excellent. But not cheap. Would go back anytime
Elegant food thoughtfully combined to create a blend of complementary flavors. Brilliant, creative chef. Great service from Rosie, who is quite charming as well as knowledgeable.
Awesome brunch spot! Across from a beautiful park with an historic stone house.
This is a very nice restaurant in Newburgh's historic district. The menu, which may require some assistance with the gastronomic descriptions, is interesting and creative and every dish is delicious. The portions appear small but they are rich and satisfying. Although it's possible to eat a nice meal here for under $50 per person, you're likely to spend much more. If you have 4 courses and alcohol, you will spend over $100 per person but it will be well worth it. For a special occasion, Liberty Street Bistro is a great choice.
Excellent food. We had 4 course meal with wine pairing . The wine pairing was perfectly done . The food had exquisite taste. A bit expensive but the quality of food made it all worth it. They will be good competition for the water front restaurants
Spectacular! All dishes done to perfection. Very creative menu. You’ll be enthralled!
This is our second time at LSB and it doesn’t disappoint! It was our anniversary and they started us with a complimentary rose. Amazing!
Food was fantastic, love that the selections are totally off the beaten path. Don’t come here if you want plain steak and potatoes! Inventive and delicious- portions are perfect. It’s not an inexpensive evening but it’s well worth the money spent for an exceptional dining experience.
This was the perfect place for a business meal on Sunday Brunch. Fantastic menu and yummy food, with a lovely atmosphere and great service. A+ all the way! I will definitely be back!
Nice place, delicious food, great ambiance.
Great place and well worth a side trip to Newburgh!
Awesome restaurant right across the street from George Washington's HQ. Very creative and well-prepared meals. Fantastic wine pairing. Well worth the gorgeous drive up the Hudson Valley. Only ding would be against the knowledge and practice of the servers, but we ain't in Manhattan no more...
It's exquisite food using local ingredients prepared by a kitchen under the direction of a young and innovative chef who decided to start his first restaurant in his hometown of Newburgh, NY. It's a small menu, but carefully thought-out. Everything is a tour de force. And whether spicy or sweet, you are left with a memorable finish on the palate. For my partner and friends, it's our new favorite place, one we want to explore one plate at the time.
Very thoughtful menu with great wine pairings.
We were visiting the area to see some properties and were coming to town to check it out as well. I have to admit, I joked to my partner that it would need significant Prozac to be comfortable in Newburgh. But oh my, did this change when we we having dinner at Liberty Street Bistro. A great place with great food and great people. So if you are around don't miss this opportunity to experience great food.
liberty street bistro has been consistently spot-on. Is one of the better restaurants in the Hudson valley.
