Liberty Station - DC Ranch
Acclaimed Executive Chef Anthony Apolinar heads the kitchen. Chef has created a menu that includes creative “shareable” appetizers, pasta and salads. Entrees feature fresh seafood, steaks and chops. Liberty Station smokes many of their high quality meats on a custom made smoker, prominently displayed on the west side patio of the restaurant.
Looking for unique places, and came across this on Open Table. Glad I booked a reservation! The menu is certainly varied and I’ll need to go back to try other entrees! I ordered the Carolina pulled pork, and it was amazing!
What could use improvement, is the customer service, from the fro t food to the wait staff. Upon arriving g, the hostess had her back to us, in the phone for over 5 minutes.....no one even acknowledged we were there waiting. When she got off her phone and told her we had a reservation, it seemed like we were interrupting her. Then our waiter was in a hurry.....even after we said we’d let him know when we were ready to order. It was not busy, and we just wanted to wait to order after our drinks arrived. Again, the food was amazing, and I’d go back again!
best bar food in town. The buffalo wings are a must as well as the cheese curds.
Eric was incredibly attentive. The atmosphere and food was incredible. We will definitely be back again.
LIBERTY STATION IS ALWAYS GOOD FOOD,BUT YOU DINE THERE FOR THE SERVICE!
Good is very good. Service was fantastic. Great drinks.
4*s because the ribs and brisket were excellent however the cornbread was a bit old and stale. Coleslaw was a bit bland. I’ll learn to order better next time. Our waitress/ server was attentive, kind and overall delightful.
Always love visiting both locations all the time, we sat in the bar area which has a great happy hour 3-6 everyday. Food is always great and the attention to detail and service cant be beat
Service was quick and our waitress was amazing!
We always enjoy Happy Hour at Liberty Station. The Happy Hour menu is varied and we enjoy the crowd.
The LibertyStation Sweet Potato Fries are OUTSTANDING!( not on HH menu but worth it!
We have dined here many times. However, on this night, the service was terrible and the food was mediocre. Perhaps, they were understaffed and unprepared on this particular night.
Any type of communication acknowledging the poor service would have gone a long way in remedying the situation, Ie., “I’m so sorry we are overwhelmed tonight, we will be right with you. Thank you for your patience.” This one awful experience, has likely stopped us from returning.
We love this restaurant. The staff is ALWAYS friendly. Likewise, management, whom always stops by our table to say hello. GREAT PLACE, GREAT FOOD
Liberty Station is a good family restaurant with a large variety of food options and friendly service.
Great food and great service
We had a lot of fun and we will go back
Service was very slow to start and what made it more frustrating is that people who came in after us received their water and drinks first. They were very busy and it seemed as if they could use another bartender as he never stopped for one minute. The appetizers, Firecracker Shrimp and Brussel sprouts, were just okay. The walleye & fish and chips were fine, but the trout was excellent. I would give them another try.
Food was average. Pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Server was stiff.
Henry is amazing!!!! Best service ever.
Had a great meal. Tate was our server. Did a great job.
Brunch Menu was well priced, varied and delicious. Service was friendly, not hurried. We are outside and the temperature was pleasant.
our food was delicious. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I recommend the salmon!
Deviled eggs very bland. So was the sangria
Wedge salad was good though.
We really enjoyed our experience at Liberty Station. The food was excellent and the service was on point. We will be back for sure!
Family dinner and a first timer at this restaurant. The positive attitude of the staff was impressive. The food was excellent. I initially thought the prices were a bit high until I see the portions which were huge. Overall, I was very impressed with this restaurant.
Table for 6... waitress was great but it took FOREVER to get our food. She kept apologizing but we knew it wasn't her fault. Obviously way to little help in the kitchen. Food was good. I'd certainly give them another chance next time I visit here.
Great and friendly service
All was great except the food. Appetizers very good. Half rack of ribs seriously inferior. Way too burnt and dried out too tough to eat. Our waiter was awesome. Ordered Brussels sprouts without bacon for our gluten free vegetarian and they came with bacon. Atmosphere super just need to work on the quality of food to be a success . It may have been a bad night
Very good meal well worth going to Liberty Station DC Ranch
Easter brunch- friendly staff, great food, reasonable price, quiet setting. Only downside was our table outside was partially in the sun and you couldn’t touch a portion of table it was so hot!
If you truly enjoy Smoked food, this is your oasis. Shrimp Po Boy was great, as was the Prime Rib Dip Sandwich. Very attentive staff.
We were meeting up with a friend from out of State. We chose Liberty Station - DC Ranch due to the close location from where we were staying. We arrived a little early and sat at the bar. Request Abby. She makes killer drinks! We were seated pretty much on time. Our waiter was fast and efficient. The food quality was delicious. The appetizers wings a little charred but good. The Mac and cheese had too much spices. Not for my taste. I guess I like traditional. The main entrees were delicious, back ribs, trout, and walleye. Little strange with still tap water. At the bar it tasted great like filtered. At the dining table you could taste the chlorine! So we ordered still and sparkling water! Hmmm. Any, overall experience was worth 5 Stars. We’d go back.
My husband and I had a much needed date night, we made a reservation and I called to make sure we were able to sit outside. The manager came by many times to check on us, so delightful to talk to her!
We were able to have Happy Hour food and drinks! We choose the deviled eggs, the firecracker shrimp, the brisket quesadilla, and the green chili pork stew. All were amazing!!!!
We will definitely be back with our kids!!!!
Always great service. They have a wonderful bar and a nice "socially distant" patio area. A great place for lunch.
As always we had a great experience. Good food, attentive service and great drinks. The social hour specials are a good deal.
Good experience and good food.
My husband's and I went for a date night. We sat on the patio. That was a pleasant experience... great people-watching. The food was Ok, more like blahh. the bun on the brisket BBQ sandwich was dry. The fries were greasy and over salted. The walleye with potatoes and green beans (I exchanged three corn for beans) were very oily. We decided we didn't need to go back to Liberty Station. The quality of food isn't worth the prices. The server, Jessica, was great.. friendly and prompt. She was the only reason we left a 20% tip.
Very good service in a great location, ambience. BBQ brisket at dinner was tough unlike a previous lunch where it was fork tender. Maybe an issue of when they smoke? Will definitely return because when the BBQ is good, it’s great.
Love Liberty Station. It is one of our favorites!
A beautiful location and outdoor dining area, terrific food and delightful service made for a perfect night out. The brisket was terrific!
Great outdoor space...Food and service excellent...
We like to support local restaurants, but hadn't been here since it changed names a year or so ago since the Plague hit also. DC Ranch is such a lovely destination in north Scottsdale with a number of great eateries. Opted to meet my hubby after his golf game Sunday for outside patio and the fully shaded wraparound patio is simply fab! Some points you can see the Living Room patrons, and it's quiet so we can HEAR each other without yelling over loud music or, other diners. No road noise at all.!
I ordered the chop chicken salad and hubby the fish and chips. Mine was ideal size for lunch, not overpowering. His was 3 pieces of cod with great fries, his only drawback was the larger pieces didn't get fully cooked., but he didn't tell the server. But at his request they did come with a lighter batter, not thick, which was ideal. Nice Arnold Palmer, refilled once included.
We went after church and sat outside at a table with full shade. It was a beautiful day and could hear live music from a restaurant on the other side. The brisket quesadilla was excellent. The pulled chicken sandwich was good but nothing special. The waiter was great, nice outside table, beautiful day, and good food can’t go wrong
I wasn’t expecting a Michelin star restaurant but this place was just bad. I won’t even waste more time writing a review but people need to know. If you want very mediocre food at best eat here
