Liberty Station - DC Ranch
Acclaimed Executive Chef Anthony Apolinar heads the kitchen. Chef has created a menu that includes creative “shareable” appetizers, pasta and salads. Entrees feature fresh seafood, steaks and chops. Liberty Station smokes many of their high quality meats on a custom made smoker, prominently displayed on the west side patio of the restaurant.
I think the fish tacos and liberty station salad are better at their Terravita Marketplace location. The smoked chicken wings are comparable. We often go to the Terravita location for Happy Hour.
The bucatini pasta with the pork had no pasta and way too much pork. It was not good
We joined our friends who go to the north Liberty Station store and we were very disappointed with the food. The place is nice. Our server and staff were fabulous. The portions were small as noted by our friends a difference between the two locations. The prime rib was the only meal we had that was good. Very disappointing.
when hostess seated us she picked up 2 place settings from the table and promptly stuck her fingers in the extra glasses she pulled off the table...I wonder who got them later that night. Our server was ok. We told him it was our first visit and he didn't seemed moved one way or the other. We weren't finished our appetizer before our sandwiches were brought to the table...not good and no one caught it. Our server asked if we wanted a dessert after dinner instead of really selling it and telling us maybe a special house dessert we should try. I blame that on management. They should have all servers pushing desserts with some enthusiasm.
Food was good. We had a brisket quesadilla...very good but the brisket needed to distributed more uniformly in the tortilla instead of lumped in at one end. The pulled pork sandwich was very good. We had regular fries and sweet potato fries, very good.
Great little joint. Fantastic BBQ. Good beer selection. A nice casual place to grab good food at a reasonable price.
Better for happy hour, lunch, and dinner. Brunch food was not so great. Traditional Benedict had ham that was the quality and salty taste of lunch meat on a burnt English muffin. The Green Chile Pork Benedict had overcooked pork sausage on a soggy English muffin instead of the delicious pulled pork served on other dishes. Try the lunch items instead.
Great food as always! Server, while efficient, could have been more pleasant. Maybe it was the end of a long day.
The meals was fabulous and the service was over the top. Excellent all around. I would highly recommend it.
Outstanding atmosphere, service and of course, wonderful food. Highly recommend you visit and experience for yourselves. Guarantee you'll become a "regular" like us!
3rd meal there in 10 days...that says it all!
Q is the best waiter in Scottsdale!!!
Food and atmosphere is better. Your meat plate was terrific!
I was here shortly after they opened and loved it. However there was a problem this time. We made a reservation on Open Table, when we arrived they claimed there was NO reservation. I showed them my phone where it was confirmed. The manager offered seats at the bar. We were hungry, tired and knew we wouldn’t get it anywhere else so we took it. No compensation was made with food or drink. And strangely I received by open table points. No reservation, yeah right !!!
We thought it was a very good smokehouse choices with good sides
Great service - food was delicious -my grilled cheese with tomato soup was delicious. The deviled eggs were disappointing lacking flavor. Will definitely dine there again. Everyone enjoyed their fish and chips.
The best thing I can say about this restaurant was the service. It was impeccable.
Jay was our waiter, and he was attentive and informative. The food was tasty and
I would definitely return.
My wife and daughter were sufficiently impressed that they were anxious for me to try this new addition to Market Street at DC Ranch. It did not disappoint. My brisket was lean and very tender, cooked to perfection. My wife's pulled pork sandwich was also tasty, as was her cole slaw. Beer selection was good and service was excellent. We'll be back!
We would definitely go back! Food was great.
Like the atmosphere, service and food here. Wall-eye and trout were great. Waiter was extremely accommodating when I did not like my cocktail. It is a friendly pleasant dining experience.
Loved our service by Jay! He was outstanding and made our visit.
Had Thanksgiving meal here. Our server Jey made our day!
Food was below average. Not worth the price. Chicken came out cold and took forever to be reheated. Rest of party almost done with meal before it was brought back out.
Sever was not helpful and seemed liked he did not want to be there. Tried to get his attention and was completely ignored. Will not be back.
The brisket was very good. The sides were poor. The corn bread was a dry muffin with little corn taste. The cole slaw had no flavor and was just chopped cup cabbage. No comparison to the slaw at American Grill across the street! The fish tacos had the smallest amount of fish. The manager was kind enough to remove the charge for the tacos which we would never order again. All in all not a real reason to return
Fabulous food and service at a reasonable price.
We loved Market Street Kitchen but are disappointed with Liberty Station. The new menu doesn’t have as much variety and it seems that the quality is not what it was with Market Street Kitchen. We’ll still give them another shot
The latest restaurant to occupy what seems like a jinxed corner in DC Ranch.... lots of prior turnover. Liberty Station looks like it should establish itself, thanks in part to having an existing success in Cave Creek. This site borrows much of the old layout from Market Street Kitchen, and the focus on smoked meats (pork, brisket, chicken) should go down well in the area, which doesn't have much of that cuisine.
Food was good but not memorable, and the service a bit uneven - one of our drinks came only after a third request. Staff was friendly and pleasant, but didn't seem that experienced. Ambiance is fine and should draw weekend crowds in the winter, but can it thrive in the summer?
First time to Liberty Station and we were very pleased. The fish and chips were the best I have had in a long time. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. We will be back.
I like the atmosphere a little better than the other location, the food is good at both of course and service was egually as good too.
The very limited menu had me stumped when it was time to order. Not many healthy options so I only ordered an app.
A boy at my table ordered the kids noodles and I was appalled by the 2” of butter in the bottom of the bowl, why would you serve that?
Great place and kid friendly! Manager and wait staff was awesome and very attentive!! Never had to ask for anything!
Great fish & chips! Also try their excellent meats done in their smoker! The service was friendly and the atmosphere was fun. Would recommend!
Great new place. All aspects - food, drinks, service, atmosphere - will bring us back.
My wife and I shared the brisket. It was too tough to eat and we had to send it back. The have us a portion of the pork shoulder and that was much better
On the brighter side our server was excellent.
Our new favorite place.
Food was good. I’ve been there twice, some inconsistency between the two visits on portion size but definitely very food. I will go back and I’d recommend trying it if you like BBQ
very good restaurant for a neighborhood place. Food and Service is outstanding! What more can you ask for?
The food is excellent. Jay was our water and he was tops! Thank you!
Marginal at best. But it's new
Upon our arrival, we were told we did not have an Open Table reservation, and that was the best part of our night. It only went down from there!
And then, We were told they didn't have any more openings - even though there were three tables open. When we showed the manager our Opentable Mobile app reservation, they let us in. Gee, thanks !
Then when one of our out of town guests ordered a cocktail and we waited 25 minutes, the manager told us she order a complex drink and they didn't have all the ingredients at hand. Our fault I guess. He did comp her drink but it was her fault !
When we couldn't find our waiter - for a long long time, we asked the manager if we could order. When my wife got her burger - it did look good - she asked for mustard. Again, our manager, not the waiter showed up and said they don't carry MUSTARD because they don't get people asking for mustard anymore ! REALLY - No one asks for mustard ? In a restaurant that serves burgers???
BTW - The restaurant was only 1/4 full at most during the whole experience.
People, you have to understand that this restaurant and its servers and manager are not new - this restaurant has just been rebranded and is owned by the same owner. Nothing in new here. These people should be very experienced.
But with the SNOW BIRDS coming in to towns, Liberty Station will not doubt snag many un-expecting patrons.
We've thoroughly enjoyed Liberty Station at the Carefree location and love that there's one right here, in our own neighborhood! The food was delicious. The service was impeccable and, when we commented on a minor issue, it was addressed immediately. Highly recommend this food food fare!
Too heavy and fatty for us. We had the ribs but these were overpowering. The sweet potato fries were cut mammoth size and very oily. The coleslaw was good. We took none of our leftovers home.
