Everything was amazing, I had no complaints. I’m looking forward to going back soon.
This restaurant was a first time for me and I loved it! From the service to the food and drinks, it was wonderful! The only con I would have to say is that the octopus we ordered was a little bit over cooked, but otherwise everything else was top notch.
Food was to good ,kept getting sent back on my birthday should be a special day it wasn’t that special.I didn’t even get my waiter name but he short with curly flowy hair Spanish
Great food. Went for NYE with a group of friends the service was great! It was a prefix menu and had great options on it.
Pre-fixed New Year’s Eve dinner was so-so and over priced! Not what I expected!
food was very good, service was lacking, since it was New Years Eve, our waitress rushed out food out so fast, My husband said something, considering the bill was $400 which was ok, DONT RUSH US OUT!
The food wasn’t great. Wine was good. Their service was very helpful but we felt rushed NYE night.
Easily the best dining experience of 2020. Beautiful Thanksgiving feast, every bite delicious. Wonderful service.
This place really made my holiday. My yearly Thanksgiving large gathering was cancelled for obvious reasons, so I went out to eat for the first time ever on this holiday. Liberty Prime could not have made me feel more at home. The manager, Ivan, greeted me at the door after the friendly hostesses checked me in. He personally walked me to my seat to make sure I was comfortable & liked the location. My server, Diana, quickly helped me navigate the menu & order my first cocktail. The bartender, Alex, personally came over to make sure it was to my liking, & happily assisted Diana throughout service. The food was outstanding & literally tasted like my aunt was cooking in the kitchen all day. We were so stuffed, Alex happily had our desserts packed up to go. This will be my new "Go To" place when I want to feel at home when I can't be.
I had a delightful time. I will definitely go back again.
We went for our anniversary, we got drinks seafood and a steak to split, desserts and coffee..everything was tasty and fresh
We had great service and really good times. Would recommend the liberty prime to others. It
The food was excellent, the service was attentive but a bit casual for the level of dining. Ex: we had to request things that I would have expected to be automatic - replacing small places, steak knives, bucket for wine, etc.
We started our evening with below average martinis. The tempura roll was uninspired and should have been served with ponzu sauce. Our salads were drowning in lemon juice and the side dishes were cold. The steaks were uninspired, dry as a bone and with zero seasoning. The only saving grace was our server’s humor. My reservation noted a 50th birthday celebration which was never acknowledged. We exited the restaurant with not one employee in sight. It was as if they had all gone home. Liberty Steakhouse is not worth your time or money. Do not walk, run!
I was not pleased. My petite filet mignon was luke warm and did not have a sear. My glass of wine was also delivered in an unclean glass. I had to return it for a glass without someone else's lipstick on it.
We were a bit nervous regarding the other varying reviews we read. However, the food was amazing, the service was on-point, and the ambiance was very fitting for a special occasion. I’m glad we got to celebrate a birthday here
Took 3 times to get our steak done correctly.
Food was good - my boyfriend and I ordered the kansas city for two and it was more than enough for us to share along with 3 sides. Also, the service was attentive. They also surprised us with a glass of Prosecco for my birthday.
The staff was very accommodating when we arrived and seated us at a better table. It was the birthday of one of our guests and they sent a complimentary dessert to celebrate. Liberty Prime is by far the best steak house in Jersey City -- looks like there have been some staff changes, but the services was still really good and the food is excellent. They seemed to follow safety protocols, too (took our temperature at the door, always wore masks, tables were distant). We had such a great night, it felt "normal" again.
Birthday dinner with the family
Nice quiet place. The food was very good along with the service. Definitely will attend more often, and would recommend.
Had a wonderful dinner! Delicous steak and the best creamed spinach i've ever had. Great ambiance and service!
Steak was ordered medium came out well done. Unfortunately liked the place but going to a steak house and it coming out not as expected ruined the first time experience.
Not one for desert but it was so good thank goodness I wore my sketchy pants lol
Service was verrrrrry slow. Food tasty but not hot
Did outdoor dining. Our server was friendly and attentive. Appetizers were good as well as the dessert.
Unfortunately the porterhouse for 2 and prime rib were both way overcooked. We decided not to return it as we were too hungry plus we hate having to do that anyway. We really had high hopes despite the hit-or-miss reviews, but it turns out they are that way for a reason.
This restaurant is on a lane of its own. They have good food but don’t compare it to one of the finer steakhouses. We also had our wedding reception here a year ago and that was Phenomenal. Our guest still rave about the food. Not sure if COVID had caused some changes in the kitchen.
Was pretty disappointed thinking this would be a NYC style steakhouse. Our server was AWFUL. May have been his first night on the job. Overall the staff very inexperienced. Hostess sat us right next to someone else....not cool in this era of social distancing. Steak was overcooked...asked for medium it was well. Sides were decent and the drinks really good...but overall not worth the price.
The service was very very poor. I understand that it was only a week for dining in but the food drinks and service was unacceptable. Reservation was at 730pm. We were seated fast but after that. It went down hill. Drinks were disgusting sent them back twice. Took our appetizers 45 mins to get. Waiter was out of site out of mind. When we finally were able to place our dinner order. It took another 45mins to receive it. It was our first time dinning here. We will give it another try after this whole Covid-19 pandemic is over. 2020 sure has brought a lot to surface.
It felt more like a bar place than a steak house. Bathrooms were not clean and the staff using them didn’t close door nor flushed after using them. We walked out of restaurant and decided not to eat there
The waiter was not attentive. He never took our coffee order. He only cared about the table next to us. Disappointing service for an expensive meal.
Second time we’ve been there. Both for occasions and have never been disappointed.
Quiet Sunday afternoon lunch
Food good quality, decent sized portions
Always great service
Great food.
Ordered a $40 NY Strip medium-rare and it was served definitely medium if not medium-well. Wasn’t going to send it back but the steak was dry so I asked to have it removed; NOT taken off the bill-just didn’t want it at the table. Another server or chef, I’m unsure of who he was because he didn’t identify himself, just came out in defense of the steak; was so insulting we just asked for the check and left. We would have stayed, ordered more drinks, desserts, AND paid for the obviously overcooked mistake of a steak but after that; they didn’t deserve my money. The serving staff was superb but if you’re unclear of steak temperatures and insult your customers-I can’t recommend.
A bit concerned one of my waiters didn't have the mask fully on their noise.
I ordered the Ribeye and they served me a NY steak cap. It was hard as a rock. They charged me $65 for the wrong dinner. Don't recommend.
A neighborhood favorite because of the food, service, and proximity to my home. Unfortunately during my latest visit the weather turned bad and, since we aren't yet allowed to eat indoors this could have ruined the entire meal. However, the staff were amazingly accommodating. They locked the front entrance and moved our table under the awning which overhangs that entrance so that we could enjoy the rest of our meal without getting soaked by the rain. These guys are fantastic. I hope they continue to thrive despite the pandemic because the neighborhood would be less enjoyable without Liberty Prime.
THEY WERE CLOSED! NO NOTICE OUTSIDE THEIR DOORS! ONLINE SHOWED THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO OPEN @ 11AM, WE ARRIVED 11:45AM. WE CALLED AND TGEUR VOICEMAIL ONLY ASKED TO LEAVE A MESSAGE, NO BUSINESS HOURS ADVISED! BAD EXPERIENCE!
Great food and even better service! The meat was delicious but the sides and desserts took it to another level
Great experience even with all that is currently going on with Covid-19. The services and food were great! Though this is technically a steakhouse, i ALWAYs get their Salmon SO GOOD!!!
