We sat at the bar and waited more than 15 minutes to be asked if we wanted a beverage. Took another 15 to have our order taken. Food was very good but service center was very slow.
We have enjoyed Liberty Kitchen Treehouse many times and it never fails us. Food is awesome.
This place will always be a perfect 4 star for me. It is has a fun vibe and great ambiance but the acoustics make it very loud and hard to hear. I am sure you have heard about their deviled eggs - get them and with bacon jam. The drinks are tasty and a bit expensive. The pimento cheese is a total yum. The tacos are not as good as other locations. For this trip, we sat outside and brought a little dog. They are very accommodating and brought extra water for him. 99% of the time, I get a Gorilla Burger Bowl. I love it so much I would marry it! My egg was overcooked so there wasn't any gooey yummy yolk on my burger and fries and I missed that. They didn't have the beer I wanted so they brought over 2 others for me to try and that was very nice. The service was a bit slow but that happens when you're outside sometimes. Enjoy!
We went for brunch. Food and service were great. Was happy with the portion size; didn't leave overstuffed. I'm already planning on returning to try the red velvet waffle.
Great service. Waiter was pleasant and timely. Food was delicious.
I ordered a steak medium rare but came out rare. I didn't have time to return it as we were running out of time since it was a business lunch.
Really nice dining experience for 7 adults and a baby. Great apps (oysters, crab balls) and delicious blackened redfish with crab.
Anniversary. Wonderful food and service.
Had brunch at Liberty Kitchen. Great service. The omelet I had was cooked to perfection as was my friends. Define fly recommend.
Overall very good experience. A little noisy but excellent service by Robert our server and food is creative and fresh.
I love Liberty Kitchen Oysterette & Couldn't wait ti try the treehouse...& they did not disappoint!!!
We started with the Deviled Egg Testimony- which is a deviled Egg sampler...(Because why not?!) YUMM!!!! Great food, yummy drinks - will return!
Fried chicken and red velvet waffles were to die for! Maple bacon syrup gave both the waffles and chicken a different dimension of flavor. Will definitely be back!
Excellent lunch, the gumbo was so good. They also had a lunch special which is a great value. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.
We made a reservation, nothing available downstairs so they put us upstairs. Very loud. overpriced. Liked seeing the kitchen however limited. Ok but not as fabulous as I had heard
It was great!
We’ve eaten here several times in the past. But they’ve increased their wine list along with their wine prices. This restaurant isn’t nearly the good value that it used to be. Its wine menu and prices don’t match up with its food menu at all.
First and foremost the host never bothered to ask us what section of the restaurant we would prefer but just proceeded to seat us at a random table when they were not even busy at our arrival. Secondly our server kept reaching over us on the table without excusing himself causing us to constanly having to lean away as to avoid being hit, which is extremely unprofessional for an establishment of this caliber! Thirdly our food took what seemed like an eternity to arrive because no one was seemingly controlling the flow of food coming out of the kitchen, and I distinctly noticed a table seated after us receiving their food before us since they probably ordered the same recommended dishes. I did however notice a managers attempt to check on customers but he did not make it to too many tables and ours was one of many. Lastly I was not at all impressed with the quality, taste nor portion sizes for this establishment at such premium prizes! Spent close to $200 here and did not enjoy a single bite, I will not be coming back even if the meal is on the house!
We went very early with two small children. The staff was great and very patient with some extra requests. The kids menu was amazing. I think we all tasted the mac n cheese. The food was incredible all the way around.
I love this place. Great fried oysters. Sometimes a little noisy... but they try to accommodate my request for a quiet area
Went for family brunch after church. Ordered carafes of mimosas and when check came they were $34 each - that’s like twice any other place! The eggs Benedict eggs were way over cooked! Will not be returning!
I've been twice and I will return. Excellent seafood, steaks, and I can't wait to try the fried chicken.
Great food and service. Extensive menu with high quality and affordable options.
The food and drinks were regular and overpriced. Nothing special. Did not meet my expectations
45 minute wait to get served.
Chicken fried steak was very tough. One of the worst I’ve ever had.
Main course was served before the appetizer.
Espresso tasted bad.
Wife got tired of waiting for a glass of Champagne. Asked waiter to cancel the order. Waiter said “sorry, they’ve already poured it” yet she had to wait a few more minutes to actually get the drink.
Had issue actually getting seated, even with a reservation--basically told to go drink at the bar. After being seated, then had to ask to be moved, as squished in center of restaurant and very loud. Had noted request to be upstairs, and that it was a special dinner for out of town friends. We did get moved to a booth, which was much better. Food and wait staff was really good!!
Mediocre food in a place that is far noisier than it needs to be. If it weren't for the paucity of restaurants in the immediate area versus the number of businesses, this place would likely have closed quite a while ago. If it were 30% cheaper, it might be worth it, but food this uninspiring just doesn't cut it for a place that should be MUCH better.
Waiter was not on point. Food was not good. Flavor was bland. Food arrived cold. Disappointed. My 3rd time there. The first and second time however were great.
Outstanding in every way. I am looking forward to returning, and will recommend to anyone looking for a great meal, and great service.
Met a friend for lunch and we each ordered from the HRW menu. I had the small campechana which was delicious followed by the roasted salmon with mashed potatoes. Everything was very good.
Our lunch was great, service was fantastic and food excellent. Arrive early for lunch, Liberty Kitchen Treehouse filled fast. Atmosphere on noisy side.
We made reservations with the hopes of being 'in the tree house'. Disappointed to learn that the roof is not part of the restaurant. Food was good. Service was okay. Staff friendly.
Most of the reviews for this place were marginal at best. I must agree. First the place is very loud. We were a party of four and had to shout to be heard. Also the server was good but clearly over loaded. Finally the food was OK. Not great, just OK. We went off the Houston Restaurant Month Menu. I would like to go back and try some items off the regular menu.
Ok restaurant. Food is Overrated and VERY EXPENSIVE!! Menu is All over the place and hard to read?? Where do I find the soups, desserts....
Food didn't have much flavor.
2-people, $172 , with only 3 drinks total, no wine...
Fried rice as a side cost the same as a Sesfood Platter at PappaDeaux, almost. And it was not good.
The food was excellent. The service was pretty good. They seemed short on wait staff. I will go again, though. Try the cocktail named The George. It’s lovely!
Food was good I was surprised at the Decour since it is called liberty kitchen treehouse. I was expecting the restaurant to be on the upper level but it was not that was the most disappointing part of the meal everything else was amazing
We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was pleasant, helpful and friendly. 3 (out of 4) of us order the Wednesday only Fried Chicken special. After half an hour or so, it might have been longer, our server advised us that a big order had gotten into the kitchen just ahead of our order and that he was sorry it was taking so long. Not that long after his visit, the fried chicken arrived and even though it looked good, it was cold, room temperature at best. I cut into the middle of one of the pieced and it was barely warm to the touch..We sent it back and the server, and later a manager, apologized and offered a drink or dessert. When they returned with our hot fried chicken, I immediately identified the chicken piece I had cut into and was frankly shocked to see that they were reserving us our same chicken, just reheated! We passed on the free drink or dessert and they removed the chicken from our check. I'm hoping this was a "one off" night, if not, this is a bad sign for a restaurant we've enjoyed in the past.
Ac sucked. Expensive
We asked for a booth in our reservations, but the host at the front seemed distressed by that idea saying the tables were much to big for us. We said, okay we’ll just take a table. And he seemed extremely relieved. Then, walked us to possibly the worst table in the building. Right next to the server station with lots of service team traffic. During the time we were there, we saw 4 unused booths the entire we were there. Even if they may have been to big, they weren’t being used so what’s the issue? If we go back, we would probably sit at the bar to avoid the seating issues. Other than that, our server was attentive and the food was delicious.
It was my first visit to Liberty Kitchen and I went for the Houston Food Week menu. I was not disappointed! Everything tasted great. The ahi tuna poke was fresh and flavorful, the steak was perfectly cooked and the grilled shrimp were firm but tender. The grilled items had an amazing depth of flavor thanks to the seasoning and I never even used the sauce only to regret it later when I tasted the wonderful tangy blend of a cocktail/bbq mixture.
The there was the white chocolate bread pudding. I’ll admit I came back the next night for a second shot at this amazing dessert. (This night I went regular menu and had a most amazing crab cake!! OMG!)
Needless to say I am pretty sure I will become a regular.
Ive never been wowed by liberty kitchen. just don’t get it. it’s good but nothing special. and it’s overpriced.
