The Liberty Commons menu is largely inspired by quirky and imaginative twists on fine comfort food, with many dishes creatively integrating Big Rock Brewery’s quality craft beers, brewed on site.
Tracy Tucker and Steve Spooner are the best. Heyyy girls!
Great experience at Liberty Commons! Met up with an old colleague to catch up. The waiter was very attentive and the vibe was great. Would go again! Loved the craft beer.
Great service and the food was awesome. The BBQ platter for 2 was so good.
Quality of the food and level of service were both exceptional. Had the bbq platter for 2. After generously sized appetizers it probably could have fed 4 of us. Calamari was done to perfection. Music was a bit too loud for conversation, but it was 70s/80s classic rock which was great.
Love Liberty Commons! My wife and I had a rare date night, so it was nice to spend dinner at this cozy restaurant with attentive staff and great food...and beer!
Our family of 8 had a great time at Liberty Commons last Saturday. Food and drinks were amazing and the staff looked after us in every way. Would highly recommend the sharing platter!
Great beers. Great food. Overall a very pleasant experience!
It was ok but I wouldn't return. Took 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us at our table and ask if we wanted water. Another 15 to get our drinks. Good was average. Overall our group wasn't impressed. I really wanted to like it. I know our server tried....maybe she was new. But for a place that wasn't overly busy I don't know why things took so long.
A favourite in Liberty village. $5 pints all friday too!
We had a Winterlicious meal. For a pub type of environment where meat might be heavily favoured, the food was a revelation. We are non-meat eaters so had fish and vegetable options. Chef is to be commended for innovative and delicious blending of flavours. We enjoyed the roasted vegetables, the fish and the soup.
The servers, both seasoned and new, were friendly, efficient and fun.
Food was pretty good overall, server was nice but forgetful
We went with a group of 18 people for a birthday function. Since the restaurant knew we were there for a birthday, they gave us the back private room which included a football table and darts. Staff were very friendly and prompt - excellent service throughout the evening!
Loved the menu and the venue... excellent place to meet up with friends and share a drink and dinner..
Visited for the first time this weekend and went back the following day because we enjoyed it so much. Great service and food. Serg, our server, have our experience even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend. Spacious enough for our large soccer team to fit comfortably.
We liked the ambiance, service and the food! LC BBQ platter was tasty and enough for 4 people!
We went to celebrate a birthday and except for one person in our group, everyone really enjoyed their food/order. The person who did not, ordered a steak and had felt it was not cooked to their requested level. The staff were great about this feedback and tried their best to remedy the situation and concerns with the meal, and for that we are incredibly grateful and give the staff a 5/5 for going above and beyond to address the noted concerns.
Overall, the food options are great and priced reasonably.--thank you Liberty Commons!
Our waiter was amazing! You guys were all so accommodating and the food was great. So glad you hosted my birthday for a second time. Already a great night.
Nice casual spot with great service and a wide selection on the menu. Good selection of beers and a small selection of cocktails. O&B level of service without the high price tag of their fine dining.
We loved our time out at Liberty Commons. Staff were great, food was awesome and the atmosphere was perfect. Can't wait to go back!
Great food and ambiance
Really good option. Good food,
good ambience. Nice people.
We reserved a table for our office Holiday Lunch, using the option of a set menu. We had 8 people in our party (although only 7 attended), so we booked a table for 11:45am to avoid any delays during what we anticipated being a busy lunch period. We were seated promptly and had drinks in our hands within 10 minutes. We waited another 20 to place our orders (ordering all courses at one time). Two of the attendees ordered form the regular menu, after approval from the restaurant. Our appetizers were served and cleared by 12:50pm. Here is where the wheels fell off...Our main course did not arrive at the table until 1:30pm. It seemed that only after we inquired as to where our food was (at 1:15pm), from one of their roving managers, that the food preparation actually began. Another manager came over at 1:25pm to apologize for the delay with the excuse of "we are doing the best we can", but offered no explanation as to why there was a delay at all. The restaurant was not overly busy (i.e. all tables were full, but there was still seating at the bar available, so the customer/staff ratio should have been sufficient). We did receive compensation for the delay in the form of a discounted bill, however 2 members of our team had to leave before the food was served due to previous commitments; after all, budgeting 1 hour and 45 minutes for a lunch seemed sufficient. I am willing to give Liberty Commons another shot, as I think this was a one-off snafu and the food and drink was quite good. In future, an honest "we forgot to cook your food" is better than "we are doing the best we can" as the latter implies that perhaps large groups can't be accommodated....
Extremely poor incompetent service. We would never return or recommend this restaurant
Friendly helpful staff, great beer and highly flavourful meal. We split the bombay "beer can" whole chicken. It might serve 4 as a light meal, but lets of left overs for 2. Enjoy!
We had an amazing time at Liberty Commons celebrating my brother’s 21st birthday! The staff was attentive and quick, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. The Sunday Roast dinner and beer flights were talked about long after we left - thank you for an incredible time!
Service was friendly if a bit spotty. A large event was happening on the patio and our server was new to brunch. But they were friendly and helpful.
Waiter stared at iPad the whole time. Plates make you feel like inmates.
Staff were very knowledgeable about the beer. When our server got busy, the manager stepped. Greta service. Loved the tail gate party!
Amazing and attentive staff! Food and drinks were amazing. Definitely going back!
Great place for a drink and a bit to eat before the game at BMO Field
Really good service, very tentative and the thanksgiving sandwich was banging.
too noisy, fair food, turkey was good

Staff very friendly but each time we have been the service is extremely slow.
awesome experience to say the least, from entry to exit we were well looked after. did not matter who was dealing with us it was exceptional.
Great venue, but it is too bad that it is just behind the construction of a massive condo tower. Went there for lunch with friends, we had to yell at each other, and the music was also really loud. But overall the food was really yummy and the staff was extremely kind and accommodating!
Excellent service, knowledgeable staff! I would have rated this restaurant higher were it not for: 1) the tiny salad I paid $15 for. It was about a cup of salad, about one tomato, a smear of cheese, and a tiny amount of greens. I said - sorry, I ordered the large. They said, this IS the large. Finished in about 6 bites. Not a value meal. 2) the jalapeno perogies were EXCELLENT and a great price, so we ordered more - not the same. The first batch was zippy, second was bland. Keep in mind how cheap perogies are to make - these were 5 for $9. Worth it when they tasted special - not so much when they were bland. Inconsistent food quality. 3) My husbands fish and chips, also a tiny portion for just under $20. Mind you, the fish was cooked perfectly! .... Maybe eat here while dieting??
My friend loved her turkey burger and curry soup. She thought they were excellent. I tasted the soup and entirely agreed. Very rich and spicy! The taste of the food was overall quite good. The donut hole desert, also delicious. My advice, maybe plan to snack before or after eating at this restaurant, OR bite the money bullet and buy more food. We spent around $100 for two of us with a drink each, and my friend about $50 including a drink, and we were still hungry afterwards. So not super terribly expensive. Would be great pricing if they just slapped a couple more fries on the fish'n'chips to make it feel like more food. Maybe another cup or two of lettuce to the salad?
The size of the salad will remain with me though - it tasted good - but $15 for such a small portion makes me absolutely INSANE!!!
We came here after seeing a tweet for a Ti-Cats meet-up. I don’t think they anticipated more than 20 people, but 100 showed up and sadly they didn’t have enough staff to keep up with demand. We waited over 10 minutes for our waitress, but once she came over everything came out quickly. I will definitely come back on a regular night to give it another chance.
Great spot for a bite to eat and a drink before the game
A evening dinner with family and friends, great food and great beer. BBQ was awesome and washed down with in house beer just made better. Best appetizer was the scotch eggs which we had to order a second batch and home made donut holes made evening end all good
