We had a wonderful brunch, food was delicious, Monica gave us impeccable service! The manager (Hector?) came by our table a couple times and made us feel special and remembered it was a birthday celebration.. Overall an A+
Thanks Liberty Bar! ♥️
Shrieking gaggle of drunk women ...
Excellent experience with a steak that puts most steakhouses to shame.
Loved it so much
Awesome foodie experience!! No bad items on the menu whatsoever
Good service and food for everyday dining.
Simply a local treasure with wide range of menu that makes everyone happy. I love that I can get low-carb yet tasty dishes; my friends love the pasta. Win-win.
Great venue for a meal on a Sunday evening, or most any other time
I was there with three of my regular happy hour friends. Two of us ordered the Puntos Nortenos. We were both in food ecstasy! It was the best dish we'd ever had in our years of trying new places for happy hour/dinner. We will definitely be back for more! Our waiter was awesome and he was the one that recommended it over another option.
Recommend making a reservation. Someone who arrived when we did said that he was not able to make a reservation but I went through Open Table the day before and got one no problem. Varied brunch menu on weekends, something for everyone from waffles to interesting omelets. Well seasoned fried potatoes, tasty bread. Staff kept the water glasses full, not pushy, accommodating on variations on the menu (no refried beans, scramble eggs hard, simple stuff but they did it!) Cost effective happy hour with tasty appetizers. We will be back soon. Thanks for a nice morning.
Excellent and informative waiter. Food was delicious. Bar was great for after dinner drink
Service was so-so, burgers were burnt even though they were ordered medium. Water glasses went empty at times. The place itself was neat and quiet enough to hold a conversation. Watermelon salad special was yummy.
Very nice and open with high ceilings and fantastic old works charm with a creative food twist plus wonderful staff
Food was good, service was slow but business was picking up. Scones were interesting- nothing quite like them - good!
It was great! We had dinner with friends and it was fun, relaxing and very accommodating. We’d go again!
We stopped there for brunch and everything looked tasty. Great food, service, and location.
One of the best meals we had while in San Antonio. There was one loud table near us but they left soon after we arrived and then the noise level was more moderate.
Good good and good service.
The food was delicious! My husband got the chicken, my friend got the salmon and I got the chicken salad. All 3 entrees were perfect. The service was really good. Not too busy on a Monday night!
Great venue! Food was good as expected. Will go back again.
We had a reservation for 3 for 9 am breakfast on Saturday Jul 13. As we were waiting at the front door for Liberty Bar to open, a woman on the other side of the door appeared and unlocked the door. She didn’t seem to acknowledge our presence and did not greet us or hold the door open for us. It was a little confusing, but we opened the door and let ourselves in. When we entered she again made no attempt to greet us, and just proceeded to seat us. Only once we were seated did she ask for our reservation information. I’m not really sure what the problem was, but if that is her normal attitude, I wouldn’t have her greeting your customers.
Our server, however, was very friendly and professional.
Perfect location....met the owner on the way in to the restaurant....amazing food.....we were upstairs sat with a group of 6 and really enjoyed our time there....I will bring my team back next time we are in San Antonio.....
Food was just not tasty. We order two of the specialty plates it was nothing special. Would rather eat elsewhere
I'm really disappointed I didn't order the Kale Chips. They looked so good. We did order the Minguichi (Queso) and it was delicious. I highly recommend it. We also had the Garlic Pork Sausage Links with Mashed Potatoes and it was very good as well. There seemed to be quite a few regulars, which is always a good thing. The bartenders were friendly and the rest of the staff seemed very nice. I love how you can see into the kitchen. Those guys can pump out some food. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a date night or a business meeting.
IHOP makes better eggs and bacon!!!! Now I know why it was so easy to get a reservation for brunch. The worst brunch experience we’ve had living in SA over ten years. Eggs were not cooked as requested and over cooked with brown crispy edges and grease marks, bacon was way over cooked with no flavor, French toast was burnt on end, $2 avocado had brown spots and food was not hot. Server had zero personality or care. Bacon was delivered on its own plate with remaining food coming out over a five minute period at different times. Window ledges dirty and hair in menu. Just awful!
Wonderful brunch with our family! Great service and food!
Met friends we dont see often. Loved the building and its history. Server was knowledgeable and friendly and personable. Great choices on menu.
My food was wonderful. However, my guest had the pot roast and it was so tough that even after bringing it home and cooking it for an hour it was too tough to eat.
Great service. Happy hour prices were very reasonable for apps and drinks. Bartender could work a bit on his old fashion (made twice one # 1 had a heavy pour of Rye # 2 had a heavy pour of bitters)
Really like this place a LOT
It was great, the only thing I missed was the music. We had been there a few weeks ago and the music was so nice.
Great place to enjoy some good food and enjoyable atmosphere.
Excellent as always
Great spot in Southtown, especially for a weekend evening. Great vibe in the upstairs bar with great drink choices. Wife has a cucumber martini which was very good. The menu was unique and creative. Something for everyone.
Ambiance and food were incredible. For anyone celebrating a birthday, do not bring your own cake to the restaurant because there is a hefty charge ($25)! Apart from that, everything was lovely.
When we arrived, which was later than I'd typically eat, but we were coming after a show, the only seating was upstairs in a small room by the bar. I'd booked based on the descriptions' promise of high ceilings and lovely vibe, but frankly we could have walked into any of the nearby bars and received the same (and probably would have gotten a drink sooner than 22 mins. after seating). Food and drinks were good.
