We were moved indoors due to rain and we seated at a high top in the bar area. Not the most comfortable arrangement for us. I had called several hours earlier to confirm that we could be moved inside and was assured that it would be no problem. Regular tables sat empty while we dined. The food was good, but Prosecco was served in a big white wine glass.
we were seated outside for brunch. Our server was gracious in seating an extra friend who had joined us, and was accommodating and great in getting us all settled and happy (we are nice but picky people:) The food was delicious, the french press coffee was perfect, and I would definitely recommend Libertine for a great Philly meal. Wonderful location and a quick walk from City Hall.
waitress and new bartender where exceptionally awesome today. food and service was amazing.
Great experience , super nice staff and good food . Would go back
Even during a day when staffing may not have been the best- our experience was delightful. Chef owner Derek Davis makes sure his restaurant a true gem.
Chicken on the chicken and biscuits was unrecognizable. Horrible
Secret chicken was nothing but a roasted breast and leg.
Our waiter Travis was really personable and treated us well. He helped us make food selections that were on point. We had the Burrata Salad, Mac and cheese and fillet skewers. Delicious! Definitely will be back and want to try happy hour.
Great Food. Perfect for sharing. Wonderful staff.
The food and service was amazing. We will definitely be back!!!
Overall the experience was good. The food selections ok but not great.
Service was fantastic, cocktails were amazing!
We had an enjoyable brunch outdoors. Food and service good.
Sat outside. Ordered from restaurant week prix fixe because that’s where the fish was and it was a good value. Dinner and cocktails were very good.
The restaurant week menu contains a delightful selection of starters, entrees and desserts for a very reasonable price. The wine and beer selections are good and the service was attentive. A fine time was had by all.
Our waitress was great and they were very apologetic, but didn’t get a good meal. We visited the first night of Restaurant Week, which was not intentional. First course took 50 minutes to get to us and then it (meatballs) was cold. Second course fish was almost raw and inedible. Chicken was tough. Dessert was yummy, as were cocktails. A shame - we were really looking forward to a good meal.
The restaurant was not prepared for Philadelphia restaurant week. The lack of servers and their inexperience to the wait time for any beverage or food order was frustrating. We had to ask for our appetizers and each course to start the process. My friend's fish was raw inside and mine had raw parts. The traffic at the edge of our table was loud, smelly and at times swiped so close to us it posed a danger. The rattan chairs were unraveling and uncomfortable. Very little attention and insight were given to making this restaurant customer friendly and a place to revisit or reccomend.
We dined outside which was very pleasant and I think we provided free advertising for the restaurant as passerby seemed intrigued by our food and drink. No wonder! The Patty melt burgers were amazing and a passer by asked me about my delicious Miley Cyrus cocktail. I didn’t mind and after a year of virtually no social life it’s nice to be living and interacting with folks again.
A friend and I were looking to dine at a place with good drinks and food to accommodate a vegan (me) and a carnivore (him) and Libertine fit the bill. This was both our first time there but it won’t be our last. Between the good food and whimsically named drinks which were amazing by the way it’s a great place to grab a quick bite and drink during the week.
When for Sunday Brunch, Food was great a great place to sit and see the people move about the city !
The staff was very nice and professional. However the food was mediocre at best.
Comfortable. Watching the world go by. Good value. Good service.
Great menu for both drinks and food. Our waiter was excellent.
Our server was great, and very knowledgeable of the menu items. His recommendations were great, and we look forward to visiting again.
Fun location, very friendly staff, and great food!
Great service, knowledgeable about food options and pairing.
Quick, warm service and we were seated early! Nice portion sizes, nothing crazy huge.
Food was fantastic in a beautiful fun punchy pink dining room, server was very nice and the whole experience was just great!
Food was okay, restaurant was understaffed (obviously not only a problem at this establishment).
TOP 10 BEST MEALS OF MY LIFE. My partner and I are foodies, and we love new and different places to eat. Libertine really surprised us on our trip to Philly, and was one of the most perfect dining experiences we've had. The flat-rate Saturday dinner special was amazing. The salad was great, the blue cheese dressing was perfect, not too chunky and not too bland. The fried shallots were a delightful surprise. The petit filet mignon plate will be something I dream about for a long time. The creaminess of the potatoes, flavor of the carrots, the sweet tang of the balsamic reduction, and of course the tender, melt-in-your-mouth quality of the filets. Not at all fatty and cooked to perfection. I sometimes rush when I eat but this place really made me slow down and enjoy every single bite. To end the meal, the fantastic creme brulee, perfectly charred, creamy and fluffy and flavorful. I love a good creme brulee and will always default to ordering it if it's available, but I don't think I'll ever get a creme brulee like the one I got at Libertine. Our server was Katie and she was fantastic! Attentive, warm, personable, but also allowed us the time and space to enjoy our meal. We sat outside, which was a fun way to people-watch while we dined. The hostess was very warm and welcoming as well. My partner and I are both former servers and we could see that the restaurant is well-managed. All the staff were helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening on the town, mainly in part to the perfectly-portioned, delicious food journey that was our dinner at Libertine. Can't wait to come back again!!
Very good food. We tried a variety and all of the dishes were excellent. Server was efficient, friendly, and helpful. Ate outside, was very pleasant.
We had a fabulous lunch. I had the Buratta Salad, my husband had the omelette and my grandson had the lemon ricotta salad. My SOL had the brisket. Everyone loved their meals. This was a last minute stop and I was so glad we did. We will definitely be back
The ambiance was good and the food was absolutely delicious!
Unexpected surprise...to sum it up in two words. From the appetizers to the delicious creme brûlée, top notch. I heard about the burgers and the reviews were spot on...one of the best burgers in the city. We ate outside, and what is nice is that the location is in a neighborhood vs a bustling street. Friendly staff and the chef came out and asked us how we liked the food and our coffee—which was excellent French press coffee. We’ll be back!
Great service, nice ambience and excellent deals.
Disappointed that they were out of so many things
Not one fish available. Only scallops
Miss the shrimp tempura sandwich with lobster snd the fabulous s’mores dessert
Overall not the same quality or value I recall pre-Covid
great food and inventive food and cocktail menus.
Great food and service - sat outdoors on street (Pine). Great cocktails as well.
Service was excellent. Many things on the menu weren’t available. Food was ok.
Out of crab, out of sea bass and the chicken was way overcooked
