Liberte Lounge Ratings and Reviews
My husband and I went here for the four course and wine pairing prixe-fixed dinner. It was fantastic! Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the evening. Since there were two choices for the first 3 of the 4 courses, she suggested that we each get one and share. Great idea! The prickly pear salad contained some amazing cheese wedges and octopus starter was delicious - paired with a Riesling - I’ve never been a fan of Riesling, but this was crisp, dry and chilled just right. The second course was a crisp bacon wrapped around a fish, paired with a Sauvignon blanc - also good, but liked the Riesling better. The third course we had skate wing and short ribs paired with Chianti Classico - delicious and we brought enough home for dinner tonight!. The 4th course was a chocolate mousse and cheese plate, we each got our own, paired with Cabernet Sauvignon- by this point, we were so full, but the tastes we had were so enjoyable. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. The food portions were large, the wine pours were ‘full pours’ for each course, and our server was very personable and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Best part, it was a Travelzoo special, which made the value unbelievable!
Food was very good. Wine selection exceptional. Service was a problem. It took very long to get any course. At worse we waited for 30-40 minutes to get second part of the meal. Nobody was paying attention to seat us. Perhaps we were first clients but it felt we had to ask for service
I was in the area and reviewed the menu online. The ambience was nice and the seating casual and comfortable. The food was the real star. The French Onion soup was good, I am a fan and it did not disappoint. However the duck confit was the star! Amazing dish. Rich and decadent. I'd eat it again if I weren't so full...
I had brunch here and was amazed at the election and creativity of the Eggs Benedict choices. There were 9 different combinations and you get to choose two! I chose the Duck Benedict and the Crabcake Benedict both were outstanding, although they could have been served warmer than they were.
The atmosphere was nice and we were seated as soon as we arrived. However, the initial hostess forgot about us and it took another host to notice we hadn't received menus which took 5 minutes. The food we ordered was ok. The duck conflit was good I thought, but the venison was Very Salty and cold. The best part was probably the dessert and the drinks. The waitress was very nice and attentive.
I visited Liberte Lounge during restaurant week not knowing what to expect. The menu items are what drew me to dine there and the meal did not disappoint. The service and ambiance was very good and the chef out did himself with all 3 courses. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice date night.
Went there for restaurant week and I will say the duck confit dumplings were amazing. Also the poached pear salad was divine. Vension was on point, I will say I didn't like the stout glaze with it but I ate around it. The red cabbage with brown sugar was done to perfection. The staff is attentive and shanica the manager is right out there assisting for volume and is one of the most pleasant people I've run into in this industry.
We waited over an hour for our food while. I noticed everyone had flowers on their plate and it was well presented. Mine however had no flowers and was warm at best. Waitress offered us a free glass of champagne for our wait. We don'l like champagne so it was of no comfort. Place was not even crowded that we waited so long for our food.
We utilized a travelzoo GC deal for weekend brunch for two with two drinks. My husband and I very much enjoyed it. We ordered the eggs benedict variety - we were each able to order two different types on each of our plates. I loved the mimosas and the service was great. I highly recommend the brunch!
Very disappointing and. Or at all as advertised. Poor service. Only so-so food. Very cold and drafty and unable to fix. Poor ambiance and description makes it seem as though it's lovely. No need to go back and then to top it off extremely high parking fees and poor way of handling payment.
Went for Afternoon Tea. Excellent. Our waiter was great, very accommodating and very Knowledgeable abut the menu and the teas he presented. He was even gracious to help us with a nut allergy and pointed out what was available for her to eat and took out additional pastries my niece could have. He is an asset to your establishment.
This was my second time participating in the afternoon tea offered here. It was a very enjoyable experience, as my husband and I were celebrating my birthday. In fact, the server brought an extra special treat just for the occasion, which was a lovely surprise. The teas offered are unusual and delicious, and we both enjoyed the fresh sandwiches, scones and desserts. It's a lovely way to take a break in the mid-afternoon, and there is good people-watching from the window seats we commanded overlooking Sansom Street.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Liberte Lounge for Afternoon Tea. Our server, Miguil, was amazing!! He has superlative customer service skills and made our afternoon a special time. We enjoyed the tea, the mimosas and blinism as well as the lovely tea sandwiches and other accoutrements. We will revisit this restaurant again as well as recommend it to friends.
This was groupon offer, and I'm glad I didn't pay full price. The server never came to ask us if we wanted more coffee or tea. Also, since it was paid for in advance, I was quite surprised to see a $20 fee plus tax. We were in a hurry and stupidly left a $10 tip as well, even though the service was not good. Food was ok, my capaccino was great, but I will not return. Not at all what I expected for "high tea" even though it was offered as a deal.
We went for the afternoon tea on our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was very cozy and romantic. We had champagne and tea (good selection) accompanied by small tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and lemon curd and a desert plate - best macaroons. There was plenty to eat and we still took the deserts home. I would do it again in a heart beat.
This is the third year my friend and I had afternoon tea at the Liberté Lounge. She is a vegetarian and they were so accommodating- her selection was superb.
The sweets were so delicious. We both were full!
The service was excellent as usual.
Will be back next year!
I wish the directions stated they are in the Sofitel hotel so I didn't waste time driving around 17th street and that they had parking so i didn't pay 35 for a garage down the street. I wished they had more scones and less finger sandwiches( no non meat options ) and deserts, other than the ear grey cookie, were overly sweet. It was a nice outing but I won't go again.
This was a quiet, peaceful place for High Tea, although decor is nothing special, just Hotel Standard. The sandwiches and pastries were Excellent, but the champagne included in the event was cheap, thin, flavorless and not worth drinking. Service from an Asian woman named Ester was sweet, friendly, accommodating and charming.
Came for Full Afternoon Tea. The whole experience is very relaxing. We were seated by the window in big velvet arm chairs which made it feel like we were in our own little place. Sat here a little over two hours just chatting and snacking on tea sandwiches and mini desserts.
Service was great. Food was average. You're paying for the ambiance and the novelty of having afternoon tea.
