Liberte Lounge Ratings and Reviews
Had another lovely afternoon tea experience at the Liberte Lounge! Service was excellent--the staff was attentive and good humored. The tea service was delicious. I wish they'd described the tea sandwich options in case we wanted to make any substitutions. I also wish there had been a slightly wider variety of teas. There were only a few choices that were decaffeinated. The scones were delicious, as well as the macaroons!
reserved through open table for afternoon tea at 2:30. Changed the reservation to 5 successfully through open table. Got there at 4:55. Was told that tea hour ends at 5 and they could not seat us. There was no remediation . Horribly poor service.
I purchased a discounted Afternoon Tea from Travel Zoo for me, my sister, my mom and my son's girlfriend. We had so much fun and the food was delicious. This is something we would definitely do again. The only thing we noticed is that the tea is not served in authentic tea cups :-(
Went for afternoon tea with a coupon. Overall a surprising good tea and we left full and satisfied. A nice variety of scones, small sandwiches, and dessert. Tea was an excellent quality and we had a champagne, mimosa, or Bellini toast. We went at 1pm on a Sunday and were the first people to arrive so it was really quiet, but I think the kitchen was surprised by our reservation as we were told the reservations usually start at 2pm. Still they readied for us with all haste and we had a lovely afternoon,
Lots of highs, and a few slight annoyances:
Staff (Great job) - super friendly staff, remembered my name from the reservation throughout lunch, gave me utensils when I took the dessert to go. everyone was super friendly. Minor thing - waited about 1 minute, maybe 2, to be seated as there was no one at the podium when I came in.
Food (Very good) - All the food looked amazing.
App: the tuna was very buttery in texture (and I wish I could have slurped up the sauce/broth it was immersed in). Slightly under-seasoned for me, but still very good.
Entree: the duck confit was good, some parts were super tender, other parts of the duck leg harder to chew. The arugula salad with the crispy duck skin instead of croutons was AMAZING!
Dessert: still in my fridge, looked amazing.
Price - it was restaurant week... I love restaurant week!
Thanks for the quiet delicious lunch!
When we walked in there was no hostess to greet us. After a while longer a waitress came to advise us that the hostess will be with us shortly. He did not appear until about another 10 minutes. We were then seated and waited another 20 minutes for the waitress to ask us if we wanted any drinks. We decided to order our meals, because we did not want to have our drinks and not order in another half an hour. Our meals arrived cold! I ate it because I did not want to wait another second. The waitress barely checked on us. My husband had to take the silverware from another table, because the waitress forgot to give us eating utensils for our desserts, which when we finally tasted it was pretty good. The meal was cold so that was not good.
Went there with a friend for Christmas eve and although the food we ordered was good, the limited menu prix fixe (the only thing available) was a overall disappointing. Excellent pork belly appetizer, so-so Prime rib with over-heavy sauce on top. Yule log cake (white and dark chocolate )the only choice (neither of which of interest to me).
Venue was lovely, maitre d excellent. Waiter not very attentive.
I'd try it again for a regular meal, but never this particular prix fixe.
The tea and accouterments were delicious and the waiter was very knowledgeable. He was particularly sweet to the 9 year-old little girl we had with us. The tables and chairs were not comfortable for a tea, though. We kept having to adjust our feet on either side of the large base of the table and the chairs were very sunken in. You had to sit on the edge in order to talk to each other.
I was also disappointed in the fact that there were really no Christmas decorations in the lounge. There was a little something in the window, but I had my back to it. I was hoping to do a Christmas tea, so it was a let down.
My husband and I went here for the four course and wine pairing prixe-fixed dinner. It was fantastic! Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the evening. Since there were two choices for the first 3 of the 4 courses, she suggested that we each get one and share. Great idea! The prickly pear salad contained some amazing cheese wedges and octopus starter was delicious - paired with a Riesling - I’ve never been a fan of Riesling, but this was crisp, dry and chilled just right. The second course was a crisp bacon wrapped around a fish, paired with a Sauvignon blanc - also good, but liked the Riesling better. The third course we had skate wing and short ribs paired with Chianti Classico - delicious and we brought enough home for dinner tonight!. The 4th course was a chocolate mousse and cheese plate, we each got our own, paired with Cabernet Sauvignon- by this point, we were so full, but the tastes we had were so enjoyable. Overall, this was a very pleasant experience. The food portions were large, the wine pours were ‘full pours’ for each course, and our server was very personable and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Best part, it was a Travelzoo special, which made the value unbelievable!
Food was very good. Wine selection exceptional. Service was a problem. It took very long to get any course. At worse we waited for 30-40 minutes to get second part of the meal. Nobody was paying attention to seat us. Perhaps we were first clients but it felt we had to ask for service
I was in the area and reviewed the menu online. The ambience was nice and the seating casual and comfortable. The food was the real star. The French Onion soup was good, I am a fan and it did not disappoint. However the duck confit was the star! Amazing dish. Rich and decadent. I'd eat it again if I weren't so full...
I had brunch here and was amazed at the election and creativity of the Eggs Benedict choices. There were 9 different combinations and you get to choose two! I chose the Duck Benedict and the Crabcake Benedict both were outstanding, although they could have been served warmer than they were.
The atmosphere was nice and we were seated as soon as we arrived. However, the initial hostess forgot about us and it took another host to notice we hadn't received menus which took 5 minutes. The food we ordered was ok. The duck conflit was good I thought, but the venison was Very Salty and cold. The best part was probably the dessert and the drinks. The waitress was very nice and attentive.
