I went to Liberte Lounge for a lunch meeting, and it was a perfect place to meet for a delicious meal, as well as conduct work. The service was excellent but not intrusive, and the noise level was low so we could actually have a discussion and not have to shout over other diners. Highly recommend.
The staff were helpful and accommodating to diner's gluten issues. Noise level was quiet and made for an amazing birthday experience. And the food! Delicious and generous portions made our whole group happy. The prix fixe lunch is incredible - best steak frites I've every had. This restaurant is a gem!
Went to Liberte Lounge today to celebrate February birthdays with one of my BFFs. Our birthdays were recognized by the entire staff. Our server Joann was exceptionally attentive and the floor manger Chris was too. Just the professionalism and attentiveness is enough to make me want to go back again and again. The weekday lunch specials was very tasty and a great deal. I had an arugula salad, french onion soup and salmon. All perfect portions.
I really like Liberte Lounge for the food and pleasant wait staff. One very large problem with this place is every time we go there is never anyone to seat you. I had to go to the front desk to ask where the host was. Then they grab anyone near the bar but forget to check you in. Then you get a note from Open Table saying you were a No Show for dinner. This time I would not sit down until they checked me in. After that, we had a great experience. The food was cooked well and drinks are wonderful.
Management get that host thing figured out. You cannot expect your staff to wait tables, be the bartender and be host then expect things to run smoothly. However, we will be back again, love the small philly pretzels and mustard instead of bread and butter. And they have their own Honey Bees on the Roof.
Had the valentine's day menu and a bottle of wine and we were not disappointed! I had a series of requests that Chris and the staff were more than happy to work with accommodate. My girlfriend and I were so happy with our evening and would gladly go back for a romantic date night.
Great way restaurant for a lunch meeting. Short run sandwich was delicious but frites were a little bland - will get salad next time
Our server, Vilson, was very charming. The halibut was probably the best I've ever had. The chef prepared the one mushroom appetizer, typically served with bacon, vegetarian for my guest... and it was a smash. 10/10 would recommend.
We were in town for work and I’d been here in 2014. The room had moved. I was expecting dinner in the lounge. Service and good were good during the restaurant week event.
We had the most delicious lunch for restaurant week! The crab soup was sooo good and my poached apple salad was filled with pomegranate seeds and pistachios. The scallops were seared and seasoned just right and the short rib was outstanding! Dessert was so pretty and so tasty. Everything was plated beautifully and service was excellent. 👍👍
Service was not that good but the food was delicious.
The food was phenomenal however the service was terrible. We didn’t have a set server and everyone kept waiting on us and asking the same questions as previous. Not one person offered us bread or drink refills and we were never asked how our meal was. It seemed like we were a huge inconvenience and it being restaurant week we were expecting more of a dining experience, there are plenty of good places to eat in Philadelphia with just as good food and way better service, I would never recommend anyone to dine at the Liberté Lounge ever after that experience. Very Disappointed.

Located inside the Sofitel hotel, the restaurant setting was modern. We had came here for restaurant week for lunch. The food was fantastic. I personally love the dessert-banana mousse cake. Service staff was attentive and nice. I would definitely come back another time.

Service was excellent, Our server was great, he was very attentive and care for everything we needed. I had the special of the day, the lobster, cooked exactly how I like it.
Our server, Manolo, was tremendous. The rooftop garden to table idea is really cutting edge & stands above other restaurants.
We stood in the lobby for 15 minutes because there was no hostess. I finally went up to the bar and asked a bartender and she told us to seat ourselves. When we finally revived our menus, they were about a third of the size of the online menu. Then, we were waited on by three different people, received our entree before our appetizer, and had to travel to the second floor to get to the bathroom which was naturally covered in toilet paper. As if the ambiance and the experience wasn’t bad enough, the couple across the room from us was straight up robbed by the table behind them. While our appetizer was compensated, it didn’t make up for the fact that my boyfriend had to repeatedly tell me to do breathing exercises so I wouldn’t flip a table. Honestly, he and I have both worked in restaurants for 6+ years- we get it. But the absurdity of the night made us question our own realities. 0/10 would not recommend. Spend the extra money and go to an authentic French restaurant.
Boring dark space, needs a makeover, food OK but not memorable
First it’s in a lobby bar and not really a stand alone restaurant. Service was not the best. The server first forgot one of the two cocktails orders. Then the soup was served with out spoons. One was brought over even though 2 were needed. When the salads were finished the forks were taken and not replaced by the time the entrees arrived. Food was just ok. Had I known it was going to be hotel food I would have passed.

The food wasn’t Fantastic, would go for a quick bit but wouldn’t expect a fabulous dining experience. I also wouldn’t expect much help from the wait staff with items on the menu. Seems like they weren’t prepared properly to answer menu questions.

We were looking forward to philly restaurant week, but the experience at liberte was not pleasant!
Their menu for restaurant week could not accommodate vegetarians!!!! They could not create an alternative for us! Their online menu was outdated. In this day and age the restaurant was not even apologetic for not obliging vegetarians. Not sure if I would ever go again, let alone recommend to friends.
Really enjoyed the restaurant week menu! Ordered the pork belly Brüssel sprouts, which was a beautiful combination. Some of the Brussels sprouts had the crunchy leaves on the outside which are my favorite, but not too many did, so it was a good combo of moist and soft vs moist and crunchy. The portion for the appetizer was extremely large, so definitely got my money’s worth. For the entree I ordered the rock shrimp sandwich, which came with French fries! The rock shrimp andouille filling went into a well made baguette, and had a nice balance of shrimp to sausage to pickled red pepper. There was also a green herb, which I think was parsley that balanced the flavors out. Overall the sandwich was a little light on filling, but I honestly couldn’t have eaten the entire thing if it had been packed more densely. Definitely come hungry! The coffee panna cotta with chocolate covered espresso beans was maybe my favorite part of the whole meal. Perfect balance of sweet to milk to coffee, will 100% order again

This is a perfect place for a get-together. My girlfriend and I have come here 2 years in a row for a gathering. It’s now an annual thing to close out the summer season. Very nice staff. Miguel is amazing! I like the lounge area better than the restaurant but the food is excellent every time.

We were very pleasantly surprised. The Eggs Benedict options were great. I had the Crab Benedict which was delicious. Our server, Miguil was gracious and very accommodating. Would definitely come back!
The food was so good! Atmosphere was great. Our waiter was excellent, he really catered to us, which is not the usual service a group of seven 24-year-olds get! Absolutely would recommend and definitely will be going back.
Liberte Lounge brunch was served in another dining room the day we went. No problem. The room was nice and comfortable. The service from the host to the server and the managers was great. Many varieties of eggs Benedict and few other entrees. We each had eggs Benedict and they were excellent. Unlimited Bloody Marys and mimosas were great too! and the fresh baked croissants added a special touch.

Wonderful eggs benedict selections, cooked perfectly. I am gluten free and they even had bread they used instead of an english muffin. We enjoyed the mimosa and bloody mary bar. But by far was our waiter, Miguil, who was attentive and good natured. He even got me a gluten free blueberry muffin. Very nice experience
Food and service were excellent. The only negative comment is the "make your own bloody mary" bar. There was no such thing. Neither the staff nor the bar tender seemed to know how it worked. Since the special was going on since June and we were there in August, you would think they would have had it down pat. They wait staff did, however, make sure we had the full 2 hour bar service and were very attentive as to any "refills" we requested.
