Libertador Brooklyn
An Authentic Argentinian Steakhouse!
Inspired by the South American gaucho culture and looking to bring the authentic Argentinean flavor to the big apple, Libertador Parrilla Argentina opened its doors in 2006. Libertador places some of the finest Argentinean cuts of meats and traditional platters at the heart of the menu, providing a fine dining experience in an intimate and cozy setting. Our wine list features a very exclusive and thoughtful selection of wines from Argentina, Chile, France, Italy, and Spain, as well as local options. After almost ten years of success, Libertador has become one of the preferred Argentineans restaurants in New York City.
The food was delicious and very fresh. The empanadas were tasty as were the crab cakes and calamari. Steaks and mixed grill were very good also . The staff was very attentive . This was our first time and we would definitely come back.
Delicious steak; indifferent service.
Food was fine, service was very attentive.
Excelente!! Meat lover’s paradise at a fraction of what Manhattan would charge.
We went for Valentine's granted it was busier than usual, but the food was excellent and the noise level was a bit loud because of the occasion. Definitely will be back on a different day.
Very crowded and loud. The food took quite a while and was not the correct order when it first arrived. I don’t mind a long meal, but 3 hours was a bit much.
We were there on a very busy Friday night Valentine's day, so perhaps the service would be better on a regular day, but once we were seated we had to ask numerous times for menus and once we ordered the food took a long time to arrive. We were in the restaurant for over 3 hours after being seated. That being said, the food was incredible! We tried 4 different empanadas and each was outstanding. We both ordered the filet mignon at different temperatures and each was cooked exactly how we wanted it. The sauce on it was excellent and the sides were good too! We even had dessert, Chocolate cake with ice cream and Dulce de leche crepes. Everything we ate was amazing and worth the wait. We will be back, but perhaps on a slower night next time.
Amazing Valentines Day dinner! Food was sublime! Space is a little tight but overall an incredible experience all around!
Birthsday very god food
Great place!
Locale molto rumoroso e camerieri poco attenti, anche la carne non era molto buona! Non lo consigliamo assolutamente.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Lovely food, atmosphere and vibe. Definitely will be back. Excellent steaks
Came here for my honey’s birthday dinner and we all had a great time. We didn’t feel rushed we stayed for about 3 hours, the mojito I had was just how I like it , the food was excellent. I couldn’t complain about anything regarding the evening. I definitely plan to return.
Always a great experience and delicious food served by friendly staff. We go there every week!
Went there for a Sunday brunch, wanted some place with more options than just eggs. We had pretty good sandwiches (grilled chicken/Argentinean sausage/Libertador burger) and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious :) as we were there at the opening the restaurant was pretty calm which is what we like. Definitely a place to go when you're in Brooklyn
Did not honor our reservation, apologize, or try to explain the problem. We arrived at 8pm for an 8pm reservation and stood in the doorway for 15 minutes before eventually leaving. The entire time, they acted like they’d have a table for us in a little while - finally, at 8:15, they told us that the table they’d just cleared would be given to a party of 4 that had been waiting at the bar, but they’d have a table for us “soon.” We asked why we weren’t being seated with an 8:00 reservation - they said the other party also had an 8pm reservation. So we left and had a fantastic, quiet, inexpensive meal at Cibao nearby.
Why offer a bunch of reservations you’re not going to honor? Just say you’re full.
Very good food, service and ambiance at reasonable prices.
Nice restaurant with friendly staff. The real gem are the empanadas. These are the real deal!
Food was not terrible but not spectacular. Ambiance was really nice. Wine selection was amazing. Service was a bit slow and they made a mistake with the steak. They did give me a free glass of wine while I waited.
Excellent service and good value for your money.
What abundant servings, delicious food and great service - fun neighborhood place!
Fantastic!
Fantastic authentic Argentine food. Empanadas are baked not fried like so many pseudo Argentine restaurants in the states. Would be nice if the mollejas or morcillas were part of the Parillada but that was probably to accomodate Americans reluctance to unusual offerings. great ambiance and food. Big thumbs up.
Very disappointing. I ate there for brunch, and the portions were so tiny it was laughable - and I’m used to dining out in New York. I ordered the crab cakes Benedict, but it wasn’t a crab cake - it was a tiny teaspoon of loose crabmeat w/ mayo. The restaurant was empty for late brunch, but the servers kept asking me every 5 min if I was finished, which made me feel like they wanted me to leave. I won’t be returning to this place.
Wonderful cozy restaurant. Great service. Delicious food. It was a little too hot inside but overall we had a lovely evening.
Good food, good service, in a nice location, at a good price
We took my brother there for his birthday. We done there often and the food and service is always wonderful!
It was my husband’s birthday and we had a lovely dinner together. Had all the well prepared Argentine specialties, empanadas, provoleta, grilled sweetbreads and a plentiful mixed grill.
Meat was okay but nothing special. Would have been nice with more mashed potatoes and some vegetables. The ravioli was nice but the size more like a starter. We thought we made a reservation at a steak house. Nice with a lot of families with small children.
There was a big difference between the prices in the Open table app and the real prices.
Great service with a local feel.
Really loved the look of this restaurant - very nice local vibe but the food was just average. We had the sirloin for two and it was really disappointing, it just didn't taste of anything. I'd happily come here again to enjoy a drink and the atmosphere but wouldn't eat here again.
Service was excellent and Food came out quickly. Everything tasted fresh and I would highly recommend this place for an early dinner
The best steak in the neighborhood. Finally a place where the meat does not taste like full of chemicals...
Incredibly slow service. Food was fine. Servers were pleasant enough, but way too slow.
Only one waitress served the entire restaurant. She also worked the bar. We didn’t get drinks for a long time. Water refills difficult. The appetizers were excellent. The steaks were not as substantial as one would think. My 22 oz Bone in ribeye was not that large and not that good.
THE BEST RESTAURANT in the area. The staff is great, although it is Argentine, there are amazing salads and other non meat options. I can't wait to come back. THANK YOU LIberatador!
PS-amazing Wine!
It was great food. The service was top notch. The server had a great personality.
Service was unattentive & we had to wait a very long time between courses for average and wildly overpriced steaks. The salad was good but the upcharge on adding additional protein is shocking. The menu on open table is way out of date and prices are significantly more expensive there (the mixed grill for 2 was $20 more).
They feature a brunch menu on their website but had no brunch for Mother's Day. Terribly understaffed too so we left.
