We're so fortunate to have Lia's in our neighborhood! Friendly and efficient service and excellent food. It 's a win win.
Last night was my first time, and the experience was amazing. Loved everything about Lia's! The staff, the food, the drinks...all exceptional. Definitely will be making this a favorite!
Reliable friendly convenient
A festive Monday night.
Came here for Resturant week and the experience wasn’t bad but also not good. Our server couldn’t
Always enjoy Lia’s
The shrimp scampi was okay, didn't have much flavor. Pizza was pretty good. The fries were too oily and tasted old....Not good at all. It was pretty late in the evening so we didn't ask for them to cook us ones. The service was good.
Delicious food and great value for your money. Excellent service as well!
This was our first visit to Lia’s and we will definitely go back!
Our server was April and she made excellent suggestions!
It was during restaurant week so we were able to try a variety of items. The burrata was delicious with warm homemade pita. The scallops were superb and I am still thinking about them! The flourless chocolate cake presentation was striking only to be surpassed by the taste! Our whole experience was outstanding- so glad that we tried Lia’s on this frigid January evening!!!
My friend and I went for Restaurant Week last evening. 5:45pm, so not yet crowded. Lia's has been my favorite restaurant for a long time, but my scallops and accompaniments entree last night was heavenly comfort food. I can barely wait for the leftovers for tonight.
Good variety on the menu, pasta was excellent and the service was very attentive.
Overall great experience, no issues.
We went for restaurant week. What a wonderful dining experience. Appetizer brussel sprouts and cauliflower steak were cooked and seasoned perfectly.
Entrees tender and flavorful.
Could only manage 1/2 of our desserts. Will definitely return when it's not restaurant week!
Retirement party with family. Had a great time!
Service and food were great!
We used to love Lias and would visit every year when we were traveling to DC … other the years the menu has gotten smaller (which we understand due to supply issues now a days) however the quality of the food has diminished ! And don’t ask for any grated cheese and wait till eat because your food will get cold until they finally get to you ! It’s such a shame !!! If I’ve never been here before I would rate it a one star but I have it average.
Their pasta is soooo tasty (perhaps a tad less salt, in some dishes?)
Amazing! A delicious dinner and cocktails served in the cold Winter outside!!
It was really too cold to sit outside, although the staff did their best to provide multiple heat lamps. Our food was terrific - roast chicken and a burger, with affogato and ricotta donuts for dessert. Service was prompt, solicitous and friendly.
One o the guests is allergic to tree nuts. The waiter and the chef made sure that everything was ok. And the food was great!
It was a lovely experience. We had a very attentive server who let us eat and talk at our own pace which was great.
Being frequent diners, we were disappointed in both our meals last evening. Sirloin steak was extremely tough and scallops were skimpy. Clearly not up to the usual standards for Lia's.
With a charming and caring manager like Elizabeth, beautiful and attentive, our New Year’s Eve was one the best ever!
We are avid fans of the brilliant Chef Geoff for many many years and we are always reminded at each restaurant at each location just how lucky we are in WashingtonDC to have him.
Our server, April, was outstanding. She constantly was around yet only stopped by to see how we were faring.
Lia’s seems to be extremely fortunate to almost always be well staffed but with Elizabeth and April, they have reached their apex! Excellent!
Wonderful , New Years dinner with family …
We had a very good lunch, creative menu but not too large and overwhelming. We tried a couple of homemade pasta dishes that arrived hot and flavorful. Plenty of outdoor seating and friendly, professional staff.
We ate outdoors. We found out after we were done eating that there were blankets and foot heaters available. We asked our server several times if they could move a heater closer to us. Walking out, we saw a large table surrounded by heaters. Very disappointed that our discomfort being cold wasn’t offered more solutions. We come to Lias because of the outdoor seating. Will know better next time what is offered to keep warm.
Tried Lia's Impossible Burger. Was overcooked and smothered in onions. FoundingFarmers does a better Impossible Burger.
Consistently very good food, very good service, and outdoor heated seating as an option.
Delicious, spaced tables for private conversation. Outdoor dining
Excellent outside seating option with heaters. Food good as expected (kale salad, salmon and burger). The fries are alone a reason to come back. Very friendly, efficient and accommodating service (Thank you Apryl).
Lovely food, nice service, so terribly noisy we couldn’t talk.
We ate outside on the patio in the evening and the heaters were excellent. It was a bit noisy due to the party behind us, but I can’t say that’s the restaurants fault. The food was very good overall; I had the salmon, which was moist and tasty, my only complaint was the broccolini was not particularly tasty and a little undercooked. The service was fast and attentive. Overall it was a very pleasant evening for our group of friends.
It was so good to get back to Lia's after a long "Covid" break. We had ordered pick-up meals last year but nothing compares to enjoying the restaurant indoors. Food was great; service was outstanding; very friendly staff.
Small # of guests so it was quiet. Food is always good.
We had a lovely time! The food was outstanding! We ordered a risotto balls, which were sublime and delightful. We ordered the prosciutto which was so perfectly briny, it felt like being in Sicily, a pizza with sausage, bacon and again, prosciutto which tasted like Heaven on earth. I’m from NY and let me say 1 word about the pizza: exquisite.
The ambience was fun and lively, as a bistro should be.
The servers and staff were friendly and warm.
However, the service was abysmal. We had to ask for the “birthday girl’s” cocktail repeatedly before getting it & it was wrong 2x. The waiter was such a nice guy, but the restaurant was truly almost empty and you would have thought that it was completely jammed, judging by the service. It is totally unfair to the chef. The chef has created masterpieces & if the waiters want this venture to be successful, they’ve got to keep their eyes on the prize: the patrons.
Chef Geoff: you are amazing!!!
The food can’t be beat. The fresh homemade pasta dishes make me swoon. Service is almost perfect and staff are very friendly and helpful.
The dish I ordered was served over cooked / burnet and was a complete disappointment.
I come here often, but this time, it wasn’t great, unfortunately.
Food was outstanding and tasty. It felt at times like the waiter wasn't paying much attention to us, despite only having 2 tables to work, based on observations of the room. Not a deal breaker, as I still like the restaurant and will come back again.
