Mother's Day Menus & Specials
Special Mother's Day Brunch Menu! Treat mom to a special day out.
Consistently good in all categories. Excellent neighbord restaurant.
Service a bit slow but everyone was very professional and food good as always.
Lia's is convenient to my house, and the food is good but not excellent and sometimes disappointing. Of the four of us on Friday night, two liked it and two found in OK.
Under $40 for a three course meal! Highly recommend the gnocchi.
Post-Covid, a Neighborhood Favorite Becomes a Mob Scene
My friend and I decided to celebrate the warm weather with a dinner outdoors at Lia's, our favorite meeting place but one that's not usually crowded on a weekday evening.
We made a reservation for Tuesday at 5:30pm, expecting to find the patio empty and our favorite seats waiting for our arrival.
Instead, the patio was already half full and the only tables left were relatively small and cramped. Never mind. We were glad to have the seats since--within less than an hour--the entire place was full. Moreover, it was full of people we actually knew! In fact, it looked like most of the village of Friendship Heights had turned out to welcome Lia's and the arrival of spring.
The food was great, as always. We both enjoyed new versions of old favorites. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that there were no tablecloths. But we ended up having a lovely evening. And next time we'll book even earlier!
It’s was perfect. Thank you!!!
Fine for so many occasions.
We both really liked the Smoked Mozzarella Cacio e Pepe!
Food was meh. Service was not attentive. Patio was cold.
Thank you for telling us about your recent experience. We take a lot of pride in what we do so it's disheartening to hear that we fell short. At this time, we are seeing staff shortages due to vaccinations, both appointments and aftereffects, so it's difficult to maintain our usual standard of service. As our staff reaches immunity, I am positive we will increase our standards in food and beverage. I hope you can give us another chance!
The staff and food always top shelf!
Outside patio is terrific, but on cold night their inside dining space felt good too.
Thank you very much for giving us an outdoor table that allowed for maximum spacing, since we had one person with us who has immune issues!
Lia’s was awesome as always! It was great to meet friends on their patio for dinner.
We really appreciate you! Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. We hope to see you again soon!
Food and service excellent.
Excellent server. Very good food. Great spot for patio dining.
Ate outside in a protected area on a cool night but were kept warm by the heaters. One of my first forays out since the pandemic so everything had a rosy glow. Food was good not great. Wild mushroom side was delicious. They only had one paper menu for the table which is a little weird since it is a simple paper menu. Overall a very pleasant evening and we will be back.
Lia's food is excellent, prices are reasonable and the servers are friendly, accommodating, and efficient.
Great neighborhood spot with a fab menu and alessio a treat. Can’t wait to go indoors but outside dining was great.
Hand sanitizer at host stand was empty. Some tables had nice, linen tablecloths. Ours did not
Arrived a few minutes early, but was immediately seated. Server was very prompt, courteous and friendly.
Placed order and food arrived in a very timely manner, and was very good, as expected at Lia's.
Fun to be able to dine
Always a great meal.
Our Easter meal was very enjoyable because the food was tasty. The waitress, however, was not good. In the reservation, we said we were there to also celebrate two birthdays which she didn't bother to make mention. It was hard to get her to the table to place an order and ask for drinks.
Reservations on Easter Sunday for dinner for three. Outside dining. Special was lamb dinner and it was excellent. All three of us enjoy lamb so it was an ideal choice for Easter dinner. Wait staff was excellent. Price was jusssst right! Strongly recommend to other diners.
PS: would love to see lamb ((and lamb chops?) on their menu more often.
As always the food and service was excellent. The drinks were well made and the food, both the appetizer and the entree were delicious. We were the only ones in the dining room for the first half of our meal so it was covid free and quiet. I thought the music playing was on to entertain the severs and other staff as we were the only ones there and would not be to my liking for dining. I needed salt on my food and It took some time for me to even see anyone who could get it. We were served our entree and had no silverware. I realize they did not serve many people INSIDE during the pandemic but these are basic needs.
It was so nice to go back to Lia's wonderful patio for brunch Easter Sunday--it is a longtime favorite, good food and good service. The Tuscan eggs benedict are very good, as are the bloody marys, and the warm chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream in a mini skillet was a fabulous way to top it all off! Now that the weather is warmer again, it is the perfect place to eat outdoors (even when the pandemic ends, if it ever
does . . . .).
Lia's offers a diverse, modestly-priced brunch menu which, when enjoyed outdoors on the spacious terrace with attentive service, gave four of us a very pleasant, enjoyable dining experience.
Food was delicious! I had homemade smoked Buratta ravioli in a cacio y pepe sauce that was fabulous! The service was great and everyone was super friendly and professional. My only complaint is the restaurant is a little cold and not friendly feeling, but everything else was wonderful!
it was ok... very closed feeling to it. Only two tables.
The menu is about to change.. so don't know if all the same things will be on the spring 2021 menu. The Veal Marsala was tender as it became darker, candles were added to tables. The service was attentive, very friendly, dishes were cleared expediently. Parking is available underneath the building/ Lia's validates your ticket so parking was complimentary. This was our first visit and look forward to dining at Lia's again!
Love Lias. One of our favorite restaurants
Staff was extremely accommodating!
Great food and service!
The food was not so good. I had rib and it was bland. Last week veal was good
Love that Lia’s is now open Wednesday- Sunday for lunch. Great gathering place on the patio with family and friends.
Making an effort to patronize local restaurants. But indoor experience at Lia's was not great. Service friendly, overall OK. Mediocre food. My guest ordered tea; it arrived in a cup with a dangling teabag, no saucer; later she had to ask for salt & pepper. Basics need to be back if you are moving to indorr dining.
The food and service were both very good. We sat outside on their patio, and it was not especially noisy. The hangover burger hit the spot, and when I made an adjustment, they were careful to ask about food allergies. We were very pleased.
Food was very good. The calamari appetizer was exceptionally well-prepared. The servers were personable and attentive.
Sat on the patio- plenty of space between each table. Felt very comfortable.
Excellent place for eating out during COVID. Very safe -- large patio, tables well-spaced.
