Marcus our server was amazing.
Amazing food! the service was prompt and polite. We went for my mothers 55th birthday and they made her feel special the entire time! The menu was delicious, we are definitely going back to try more food! the seared halibut was delicious and the risotto balls were sooooo good, I could've easily had two more orders. Wednesday nights are wine down Wednesday so half off full bottles! We definitely took full advantage of that.
We have been to Lia's many times. The grilled ahi tuna steak special was one of the best dishes I have had there. Delicious!
Excellent meal with good service. Loved the flourless chocolate cake dessert with expresso ice cream.
As always, our food was excellent. Always recommend Lia's to my friends as it never disappoints.
Always good at Lia’s. Well trained and pleasant wait staff. And the food is always great!
This was my first experience at Lia's. It was fantastic!!!! My brunch group of 10 all enjoyed it. I will certainly go back.
We always enjoy our meal at Lia's and have celebrated birthdays, graduations and anniversaries in this neighborhood gem. Everything on the menu is tasty and service is always good.
I went there for a valentines dinner and it was my first time there. I reccomend this place for a great date spot to eat.
The food is AMAZING!!!! We ordered the chicken parm and mushroom ravioli and they were both incredible! Highly recommend
We went for Valentine's day and ordered off of the regular menu. This was the 2nd time dining at Lias, 1st for dinner. The mushroom ravioli was outstanding. So was the butternut squash soup. My spouse also enjoyed the boar bolognese. The service was excellent and it was clear that they aim to please.
The food was amazing. Great place for Valentines!
I took a friend for her birthday--they have pictures of cupcakes on their entry wall & her name was in one. Nice touch.
You can actually carry on a conversation here! Good food, attentive but not hanging over you service.
Friendly neighborhood restaurant, with great food, excellent value. Good for families and evenings when you feel like going out for good "comfort" food, but don't want to dress up or go anywhere fancy. Quite noisy because its so popular.
Nice night at Lia's. Wait staff was very attentive. Food was good not great. My wife loved her halibut and the brussel sprouts appetizer was delicious.
Coffee came to table cold as did the soup so that was dissapointing
Nice Italian restaurant tucked away amidst tall buildings in Chevy Chase. Enjoyed a good salad with halibut while a friend chose steak and fries. The appetizers and fine pasta dishes gave our friend a third way to go. Service was attentive and meals served promptly. Also serves sandwiches and pizza.
When we arrived the
Food was delicious but selection limited to smaller lunch type dishes. Service was very good. It was a bit noisy for conversation at the beginning at 1:00, but the last 20 minutes were ok.
The food is always delicious. The wine is always great!
My go to restaurant for business lunches. The wait staff is superb, and the food is also first rate. Never had a complaint from a client, and in fact, always a compliment on the choice or restaurant. Job well done.
Definitely continues as our favorite restaurant. We'll definitely be back.
Most of us hadn't eaten at Lia's or hadn't been there for a long time. I have to say... it was DELICIOUS! All ten of us loved what we got and our server was adorable and attentive. Would totally go back!!!
Absolutely nothing bad to say!! Everything was amazing!! Not your everyday Italian recipes; Lia’s dishes are very unique and delicious!!
A friend and I both ordered a Cobb salad with salmon (sans bacon) and both agreed that the salad was absolutely delicious! The spinach, the pieces of apple, the blue cheese, the pieces of red onion, and whatever else was in salad were fresh and were complemented by the delicious dressing. I don't remember when was the last time that I have enjoyed a salad so much. The salmon was a little bit overcooked, but it did not matter because the salad was scrumptious. I suggest that this particular Cobb salad be included in the regular menu. Would love to go back to Lia's to have the salad again.
Menu rather dated. Salmon overcooked and lacked flavor. Hamburger OK but bun fell apart. Too Noisy for conversations. A long standing problem never addressed.
The food and service were excellent
Nice evening with a close friend. We dine there every couple of months and find everything very consistent.
I would definitely recommend Lia's to friends. However, I would also recommend they stop somewhere else for dessert! They were not worth wasting calories on. One was 'freezer burned' and another was undercooked. Not a pleasant way to end a nice meal.
Very good selection, food was delicious. I came for dinners previously. Service was more professional and timely during the dinner time visits althught the restaurant was more busy at that time. Overall, great restaurant to eat and have a conversation with friends.
It was after our regular evening workout that we arrived at Lia's. The bar was had a few seats open, so we decided to sit there for dinner. Service was very attentive and professional and the food was very good. The menu selections are plentiful and the food is obviously carefully prepared and presented.
Great deal for DC restaurant week! Food was delicious, would come again!
Our server only interacted with one person at the table. As a result, we had to repeat every request, which subsequently increased our wait time for everything. The manager comp'ed our drinks as a result of the delay. Who doesn't appreciate a free drink, however, no one wants to be ignored either.
The food was very good as was the service. The first table we were given was in a very drafty location. We asked to move and that was taken care of very quickly but I'm not sure why the restaurant was not set up to have a curtain or some other partition as it was a cold evening in January. The girls at the desk must have been freezing as they were getting hit with a blast of cold air every time someone came in.
Food was just ok. Pear and cranberry crisp dessert was so overly sweet it was an unpleasant way to end the meal
Food is good and the restaurant week special is an actual good deal.
The Restaurant Week lunch was an unbelievable bargain. I took the middle course home for my dinner.
We did not have a great experience at this restaurant week lunch. The service was not attentive and was extremely slow - so slow that we ran out of time and had to leave before dessert. I found myself wondering if the kitchen was short staffed, and maybe the dining room staff too. While the Brussels sprouts starter was quite good, I wasn’t wowed by anything else. It was fine but for the price not impressive. I think the food at Panera is just as good and a whole lot cheaper. Perhaps over time, Lia’s is sliding.
Went there for restaurant week (they have the best RW option as they open up almost their entire menu for RW). The food was good. Our server was friendly and attentive. Thank you
They make their pasta on site so it is always the best.
The Restaurant Week deal is terrific -- everything on the regular menu is among the options. It was mobbed at lunch, but despite that the service was excellent and the waiter was attentive. Mac and Cheese appetizer and entree salad with Maple Salmon were very good; dessert -- pear and cranberry crumble -- was overly sweet and a bit disappointing. But overall, a really good experience.
