This is a great option for outdoor dining! I usually run cold in fall and winter, and the heat lamps they have at almost every table keep you very warm. I even had to take off my coat! We’ll definitely be back.
Stacey, thank you so much for your kind feedback! We really appreciate the support and are so happy we will see you back again.
Another excellent dinner on the patio! Megan provided top-notch service. Save room for the skillet cookie!
We really appreciate your support! I will pass along the wonderful comment. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Beautiful evening with a delicious meal and excellent service.
Lia’s was great. Made us feel safe. Plenty of heaters and good service and good food. Thanks
We are so happy to hear about your positive experience with us! Please stay well and visit again soon.
Wonderful service and wonderful food! A great choice for my wife and I to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary!
We are so happy you chose to celebrate it with us! We enjoy being able to make special occasions as memorable as we can. I'm glad you had a good experience with us. Please stay well and visit again soon!
We three had the most relaxing, comfortable and delicious dinner one could wish for during these tense and scary times.
We felt safe, and perfectly Covid separated from other diners and wait staff. Service was great, our meals were top notch, and we look forward to returning.
Thank you Chef Geoff!!!
What a wonderful review to see! We couldn't be happier you had such a great time. We appreciate you more than words can express. Please stay well and visit us again soon.
Pleasant outdoor space. Good food and accommodating staff. Reasonable prices, especially for brunch and lunch. Good
It was our anniversary (and we got married @ Lia’s 11 years ago), so we and another couple went out to dinner to celebrate. The manager treated us to a delicious apple cider cocktail (apple cider, elderflower liqueur and cava, I think). The staff was very welcoming and warm. I had the shrimp scampi, my friend had the halibut entree, and her husband had the mushroom ravioli. My husband had the maple-brined chicken. Everything was delicious. My husband and I split the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream for dessert. Yummy! Great outdoor dining experience with nice warm heaters.
All is consistently excellent!
Never a bad meal or experience. Love Lias. Definitely go back soon.
We visit Lia quite often & it is one of our fav neighborhood restaurant. The food I had last time was a bit disappointing, though.
I had crab cakes and it was way too salty, took a lot of effort to finish it (didnt finish it in the end).
However, i would still give them 4 stars because
My husband hallibut was nice.
The fried calamari was great (as always).
Maybe i was just a bit unlucky last time.
Thought the food was very good. The service was exceptional. Knowledgeable and accomodating staff. I had not dined at Lia's for a while and I will definitely come back!
Excellent experience as always!
Lovely staff, very professional. Space is quite large inside, but beautifully done. Food was quite good- the “simple & healthy” entree with Brussels sprouts & sweet potato is an imaginative option!
Always a great meal at Lia’s. Our dishes were delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. There was only one other table occupied for inside dining. Couldn’t ask for more.
Had a delightful date night dinner at Lia's on their patio on a weeknight (equipped with standing propane heaters as we enter the second half of autumn).
Our server was very pleasant and allowed us to leisurely enjoy the somewhat mild weather under the comfort of the heaters and an LED-lit umbrella. Lia's truly does have one of the best outdoor patios in the area. Lia's has a nice selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, including a couple of hot options for the cooler weather. I started with an IPA while my date enjoyed a hot buttered rum. For appetizers, we ordered calamari (excellent portion size, though a little more sauce would have been welcome from the outset) and brussels sprouts (delicious, but the sprouts were rather small and lacked a good crunch).
For entrees, Lia's offers a section of their menu with more simply prepared meals - my date availed himself of one of these lighter options and ordered Simple Salmon with brussels sprouts (probably could have subbed this for something else) and a sweet potato. I ordered the Braised Shortrib, which was super tender and served with a parsnip puree and greens. The entrée portions were well-sized and everything came out in good time over the course of the service.
I will definitely return to Lia's again soon, weather and COVID-permitting, to try other items on the menu!
Very good food across the board on all six of our group's entrees--the pasta with meatballs and halibut and braised beef were especially good. Good apps and deserts, too. And our server was terrific, too. Outdoor seating is excellent--very COVID-compliant with lots of room between tables, lots of heaters, and the servers were also very on top of COVID issues. We are always so glad Lia's is in our neighborhood!
We sat outside. Lias made sure that the tables were socially distant and everyone interacting with customers were wearing mask. Felt comfortable and safe enough to come back again.
We had a really nice dinner at Lia’s. The service was was excellent, the outdoor seating just right, and the food was delicious.
3 friends meeting for dinner in an outdoor setting where tables are well spaced and with heaters!
We decided to break out of our pattern and go out to Lia's to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We've been before the pandemic and we chose it for the outside patio on a day with a warm forecast. Lia's service was very professional and impressive, they knew what they had to do to keep everyone safe. Enjoyed the halibut and my wife enjoyed eggplant. We appreciated the night out and they showed they appreciated us.
Carlos's service was great. And our food. I loved my braised short ribs.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback! I will make sure to pass along the compliment, we are certainly lucky to have him with us. We hope to see you again soon!
It is nice eating outdoors. The mixed green salad was good but my main entre, the Chicken Parm was just okay primarily because it was luke warm but I didn't want to send it back and go through the whole hassle of telling the other three people in our party to just start without me.
Love the risotto balls and cookie dessert. Wait staff was terrific.
Had a great time. Food was great and so was the service.
Nice place for a first date, sangria was great
Beautiful & great food. Their rotational/seasonal menu is always so tasty. We keep coming back!
Lia's has a great (mostly covered) outdoor patio. They are doing everything they can to make diners feel safe. Food and service are good. Our favorite go-to neighborhood restaurant!
We go to Lia’s regularly— you can count on the quality of service and food. Tables are far apart, noise level is “buzzy” (good!) and easy to have dinner conversation.
As all’s excellent
The staff was so nice and welcoming and brought a special dessert out for our special occasion. The food was great as usual. We were very happy with our experience and felt safe dining outside in the courtyard. The staff was especially precautious.
It was our first time out to dinner since the pandemic began. LIA’S has always been a favorite and the service and food was up to Chef Geoff standards! A few changes to the menu since the last visit. While some favorites were gone, we were beyond happy with the changes/new additions. It was hard to narrow down our meal to only a few things!
Everyone was so kind and we were pleased to see that tables were more than adequately distanced, all staff wore masks and maintained safe distance. A great perk was the digital menu. We are essential workers and have been in-person since the beginning, so we greatly appreciate all who take precautions for health and safety.
Nice very good food, dined outside but pleasant nice. Very very good service. Good food, a bit pricey for what it was, $29 for 4 large, not even jumbo scallops? Overall a very nice experience, been there many times, will be back again !!
Thank you so much for the positive feedback! Our scallops are U-12 jumbo scallops, which means four of them equals 1/4 pound of scallops. I am so sorry, however, if they didn't seem like it when you visited. I hope we see you back again soon! We will hopefully have our patio heaters up and running soon!
What a lovely opportunity to enjoy this vast European style patio! The Ricotta Gnocchi was light and airy. The fresh heirloom tomato sauce complemented the dish perfectly. The service, as always, was delightful and friendly.
LIA's has ample outdoor space for socially distanced dining. The food is very good, and our server was very accommodating.
In these days of Covid caution, it is a delight to dine outdoors at Lia’s, where there is careful attention to safety and a good menu full of comfort food and culinary treats. We had the always excellent brussel sprouts, salmon with ratatouille, and excellent ice cream, accompanied by large glasses of well selected wines. We also recommend the mushroom ravioli and mushroom pizza. We recommend making a reservation if you want to eat outdoors before the weather prevents that.
Excellent meal at Lia's this last week, with outdoor seating. The watermelon gazpacho is absolutely fabulous! Second time I've had it, and just as delicious as the first time--my friend ordered it too and totally agreed. I had shrimp scampi, lots of tasty shrimp, really delicious. Because of its expansive outdoor seating, Lia's is an especially good place to go now--but the predominant reason has to be the food. Hope they keep that gazpacho on the menu a while longer!
Our favorite local go to. Always good food and good service. Outdoor seating is the best around.
We went for our anniversary. The service was slow - took the waiter a while to come over after he gave us menus. Then, they got my order wrong - gave me salmon instead of tuna. So, my husband had his food and they had to remake mine. He was half way done eating when mine came back. When I told the waiter, he just say "oh" (another server had brought it out). He didn't offer to check on it, bring me bread to eat or something while I was sitting there. Usually a restaurant will take the item off the bill or at least they could have given us my husband's glass of wine. But they charged us the full price. They did bring us a scoop of ice cream with a candle for our anniversary which was sweet. But the fact they didn't do more to make the incorrect order right was disappointing.
Patio seating is nicely spaced out. We enjoyed the spicy Caesar salad and the crab cakes.
