Alfonso Salazar, better known as “Dirty Al” originally started shrimping as a young man with his father and 6 brothers. In 2003, he and his youngest son, Cameron, who graduated from Culinary School, transformed his bait stand into a restaurant where together they have been known for having “The World’s Best Fried Shrimp”! In 2005, his other two sons returned home to help grow the business. To this day, they now own 7 restaurants on beautiful South Padre Island and across the valley and continue to bring only the “best” Gulf Seafood to each customer’s table.

We ordered the Oscar steak and it came out raw and cold. Sent it back and the cook only cooked 1/2 of the steak and the other half was raw and the sauce was cold. We ordered chipotle corn and it was freezing cold….we didn’t want another serving. We had told the waiter that we wanted crème brûlée for dessert cause it was my husbands birthday and they brought out strawberry cake(which was free and we were grateful but it wasn’t what my husband wanted. Not the best first experience

We love having dinner and watching the sunset. Nora is absolutely amazing always makes our experience a night to remember. Ribeye guacamole, Oyster combo and crab claws are great shareable appetizers.

Other than appetizers and meals being brought within 5 minutes of each other, the dock was beautiful, meal yummy and server attentive. Highly recommend a reservation on the patio around sunset for special occasions (or not!)!

This was our second time there. We had a beautiful view of the Laguna and the sunset. My entree was the cedar plank Salmon, which was excelllrnt. My husband enjoyed the redfish. We also had the calimari. All of our choices were delicious. Our server, Julietta, was cordial and efficient. All in all, a great evening.

Liam’s is always a great experience. Great food, great wine and when added to great company— can never go wrong. On this visit the chefs went the extra mile and prepared our black fin and Snapper fresh catch we brought in. Everything was made to perfection!!

We reserved table for business dinner . It supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable conversation. Instead we we were a little nervous because we felt like we were rushed to eat and leave the restaurant. We felt like we are not valuable customers

First time to Liam’s off of a recommendation and I was very pleased. The atmosphere was nice and we had a table with a view and it made that much nicer. The food was prices right and it was very good. The waiter attended us very nicely and everyone was friendly. I would definitely return and recommend this to my friends and family.

Out of prime-rib, ribeye, and multiple apps. What food was available was good. Service was a little slack this time - good initially, then fell off. Empty drinks across the table several times. At least they had agua-chile oysters on the half this time. Saving grace.

I had a Caesar salad and founder. The food was very good. The desserts there are excellent and their seafood is high-quality. My husband had a glass of red wine and that was also a good selection.
