It was the worst brunch we have ever been to. The food was cold. The set up of the dining room was terrible. There were stains on the table covers and it seemed like they dont replace them after every customer that dined. It was not worth the money we paid. I asked for the manager and the server just shrugged it off saying "There were others that said the same thing, sorry for the inconvenience." WHAT!?!? STAY AWAY from this place.
We were taking to a banquet room instead of being taken to the Resturant which we were very confused by and it was a small buffet with cold eggs. The buffet was $50 a person which we were very shocked by especially since we weren’t placed where we were originally supposed to be. It was a total rip off and the staff did seemed to be confused and unprepared.
The bar area is very busy. We ate in a small quiet room.
The food was amazing. We had the appetizer sampler, great varity and really savory bites.
We had the chicken and fish and each dish was very good! Save room for dessert.
Good food, drinks, and service. Will come back again.
Loved the atmosphere! The food was pretty good, but small portions and pricey. It was worth going to the rooftop and having some drinks up there. That was our favorite part!
My experience at the London House was amazing. I heard so many great things abut the hotel and bar, so I decided to take a visit. The drinks were amazing and the service was amazing as well. The host Jaylan was very informative and he provided great service. Jaylan was also very informative in regards to recommending great places to go within the downtown area.
Delicious brunch, great mushroom omelet, white bean cassoulet and delicious bacon!
Perfect place with GREAT FOOD
The food is very limited and a bit more on the creative side. Ambiance is great but not many people were there around noon on a Saturday. The bloody Mary’s are amazing though! Would be better for just drinks.
My boyfriend and I went to LH 21 for pre-dinner birthday drinks on a Friday at 3:30pm. We were seated near the fireplace but were able to go up to the rooftop to see the beautiful view of the city! The place definitely started to fill up around 4:30 and it did get quiet loud but overall it was worth it and we will be returning in the summer to enjoy the rooftop.
The waiter didn't tell us the wine we received for Valentines dinner cost $50 more. Food serving was small and some things didn't taste to good.
Amazing ambience, food and service. Perfect for a summer lunch date.
Spent almost $400. Service was atrocious. Never left a negative review however our waitress (Kelly C) spilled a drink all over me the second we sat down. She proceeded to drop silverware and food all over my husband’s coat. Disgusted with the service here. This level of service was appalling. I didn’t receive an apology. Will never return.
We went for restaurant week and did the restaurant week menu. The menu sounded pretty good, but when the food came it was entirely too artsy for the taste of my wife and I. Great place for summer time drinks on the rooftop, but we’ll stick to more straight forward restaurants for the main courses.
The service was very poor. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come to our table. We had to ask for water. Everything came out slow. Dishes were not cleared from the table promptly - or really very often at all, we had to pile them up. We did the restaurant week menu, which offered drink pairings, but the drinks were not full sized. The food was very good, but that didn't make up for the lousy service. I understand they were busy, but it's far from the quality of service you expect for these prices. We were disappointed, will not be dining here again.
perfect way to kick off restaurant week 2019. It is a lounge-y atmosphere (we were sitting by the bar in a sofa situation) so I wa sa little surprised that the service and food were so outstanding. The menu was fun, wiwth some interesting texture and flavor combination that kept up with the amazing cocktails. Highly recommend the rum punch.
We loved the surprise Menu & the friendly service!
On their website, they state their balcony and viewing area bar is open during the winter time as they state they have heaters, but it was closed. We came for the view and left after we weren't able to see the view. Further, the inside seating has only one small window.
This place was absolutely amazing. Great cocktails and service. Had a great time celebrating a special occasion.
Our server was great, recommended some good drinks and the food was delicious especially the wings and flatbread. I was disappointed that despite being near the top of the building, there’s absolutely no view except across to the other side of the building. I’ll have to wait for nicer weather to check out the outdoor deck.
We were there on a rainy day, so not packed with people. But still got great pics of Chicago on the rooftop. Lunch was great in the back room by the fireplace. Heather was awesome as our waiter, and she was also the Bartender and made killer martinis. Very cool place.
Terribly slow, rude service. I will not return.
Enjoyed an art show with dinner. Each selection was exquisitely plated. Delicious and beautiful.
The burger was amazing and the drinks were good. Our server Dina was also very attentive and nice!
The best view of Chicago, awesome drinks overall amazing place
The staff was really nice. I was happy that my sister, Laquinncia Sails, recommended this place to me.
First they sat us by the fireplace which was super hot. We sat for 15-20 minutes before they took a drink order and it was not busy. The menu was very limited. Not nearly as many options as are represented on open table. Appetizers were tiny and not described accurately. I had the $48 steak and it tasted good but half of it was all gristle and could not be cut with a steak knife. Please explain how all the bad ratings here have 5 stars?? Thumbs down.
The menu is very limited and very expensive. The restaurant is very cozy and nice but the portions are small, the food was just good and the price was pretty expensive. Way to many restaurants to choose from so I probably won't go back to this one.
It was my 50th birthday! Originally when I ordered my cheeseburger I asked for no onions and for it to be well done. It was loaded with onions and it was bloody! My strawberry daiquiri was so bitter! The waitress was rude!
The views were spectacular, but the service was not! Drinks were watered down, food was cold & the service was horrible. We waited for 30 minutes before we received any service what so ever. We kept getting the run around before we were finally told to go to the bar & order our food & drinks.
Absolutely loved LH! Perfect view and great place to toast & celebrate the birthday. It scream Sex & the City!!
Do not miss the roof top view of the Chicago River
The rooftop view was amazing! Service and food were not great, but again... the VIEW!
We had a wonderful time and the view was to die for. However, the steak was overpriced for the quality. It was also served cold.
Love this place. Great views
My outdoor reservation was not honored and the room with the fireplace was very noisy.
The service was slow and poor and I was given the wrong check at the end of the meal.
The outdoor terrace is amazing. The scene is beautiful and the drinks were great. LH was recommended by friends to visit. Overall, wasnt impressed by the food. The fries were drenched in oil—barely tasted like fries. The hostess was not back at her post to seat us after telling her we were coming back from upstairs as we were 30-min early for reservation. Had to wait about 10-min to be seated (by someone who worked there; not the host). The food left our stomachs aching. I would recommend LH 22 for rooftop drinks and hangout for group of friends.
I thought the restaurant on the 21 floor would be a 'real' restaurant. Instead it is a cocktail bar with lots of tables that does not have table service for lunch. It is 12:30 and we are the only two people on the room. Was never told this. Rooftop had a magnificent view which is better seen at night. Will never go back. Saw the view and that is all it has going for it.
The elevators make it very confusing. I loved the "old", "real" London House. It was a wonderful supper club with the BEST jazz performers of the time.
This was our 10 year anniversary and were seated by a fireplace (in summer - hot), a table that was not level and moved up and down (like a see saw). Would never return!!!
