The hummus appetizer was a perfect dish to tide us over until the entrees were ready. I thoroughly enjoyed my Vegetarian Casserole and my husband cleaned the plate of his lamb kebob. This was my first visit and I will definitely return.

Surprisingly good. Had low expectations for this local unassuming restaurant but we wanted Turkish food and this one was close and had tables. Whole branzino grilled with the skin on - fantastic. Huge portion. Skin was crispy and flavorful. The inside was moist and flaky. Simply seasoned with salt and pepper. One of the best I’ve had. If you ordered this same dish at Avra, it would cost $90 for this size fish. Here it was half the price and just as good. Also had the appetizer with hummus, babaganoush, stuffed grape leaves, etc and that was also delicious. The place was mostly empty on a Sunday night. Service was good. This is the perfect secret neighborhood place for good cheap Mediterranean fare. Almost too good to share…

The best Turkish food in New York City, period! It’s always fresh and super delicious! We come here often for casual dining, date or meeting friends. I would suggest cold appetizer platter, phyllo rolls, spinach borek, liver, lentil soup for starters. Everything is so yummy but iskender, kofte, Adana, lamb shank, lamb chops, manti, hunkar begendi are all super good! Portions are huge and staff is very friendly! Make sure you leave space for dessert with tea or coffee, oh the baklava is out of the world!

I have enjoyed dinners here when I have had the Salmon as well as the Short Rib, all on their regular dinner menu. A special of the day one day was Skate, which was equal to one of the best that I have ever had anywhere. You can call in advance and find out what the special of the day is. I have enjoyed sitting near the fireplace. The only disappointment for me was the Cream Brûlée' Cheesecake dessert. It was very mild in cheese flavor and the Brûlée' enhancement added little flavor to it, I felt.

Lezzet is a casual neighborhood place that is great for lunch or dinner. Excellent salads, kebobs and hummus, and amazing fresh bread. I particularly love their outdoor space which they have decorated nicely.

The lentil soup is listed on the menu without explanation. There were no whole lentils in the soup. The soup is apparently a liquid that got its flavor from cooking the flavor out of lentils, but to my taste, not much of the taste was recognizable and noticeable. The lamb served over eggplant (Sultan's Delight) was quite good and recommendable. I gave the restaurant only three stars because of the soup having so little taste.

Lezzet is a find! The food was great and the wine list prices are very reasonable. Falafel apps were delicious as was the Sultan's delight and doner kebab (could use some yogurt sauce on the side). The only disappointment was the keskul dessert. Better to stick with the baklava. Try the Turkish wine. Surprisingly very good. We'll definitely go back.

Lezzet was my go to for neighborhood Mediterranean food. Over the past few months the quality has declined, prices have increased and they now charge an additional 3.99% for credit card payment. Time to find a new neighborhood restaurant. Avra Madison has an excellent lunch special and does not charge extra for paying with a credit card.

Excellent Turkish cuisine in a great location! I was shopping at Bloomingdale's and stopped by Lezzet for lunch. What a treat! They have a lovely selection of both indoor and outdoor tables. My salad, hummus and falafel were all simply outstanding. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable. I will be going back whenever I'm shopping at Bloomingdale's, or happen to be in the area.

We had an excellent dining experience at Lezzet last night! They offered outside dining and inside the restaurant dining so we ate indoors. Since they didn’t have their liquor license yet, we brought a bottle of wine with us and they gladly served it to us with no corkage fee. We shared a nice Greek salad with the best pita bread we’ve ever eaten. The lamb shank and eggplant was absolutely tender and delicious. A man at the next table recommended the almond pudding, so we ordered one, and it was very good...soothing at the end of the meal! Thanks for an enjoyable dinner!

This is one of the best Turkish restaurants in the city. Sadly, with COVID19, we were outdoors and it was 49 degrees but while we were there plastic siding was installed which reduced the wind factor dramatically. Food is always very good, friendly service and prices are reasonable.
