LEZZET MEDITERRANEAN TURKISH RESTAURANT
I have enjoyed dinners here when I have had the Salmon as well as the Short Rib, all on their regular dinner menu. A special of the day one day was Skate, which was equal to one of the best that I have ever had anywhere. You can call in advance and find out what the special of the day is. I have enjoyed sitting near the fireplace. The only disappointment for me was the Cream Brûlée' Cheesecake dessert. It was very mild in cheese flavor and the Brûlée' enhancement added little flavor to it, I felt.
Great food, amazing service and excellent location/ambience… Thanks
Lezzet is a casual neighborhood place that is great for lunch or dinner. Excellent salads, kebobs and hummus, and amazing fresh bread. I particularly love their outdoor space which they have decorated nicely.
Ate in quiet outdoor shelter with heater. Homeless woman wandered in.
It was great to sit outdoors, private dining room, not too much street traffic. Not quite like sitting along the Bosphorus, but brought back good memories.
Food was good. I always order the chicken kebab. Will return soon.
Change the cook!
food was very tasty. Had trouble getting staff attention as beverages needed refilling, but they were very friendly
we ate inside, but there was space between tables so felt safe!
Good is excellent and authentic
Only down side they didn’t have all the available desserts (ran out of baklava) and the flan was not very good and covered in way too much cinnamon
The lentil soup is listed on the menu without explanation. There were no whole lentils in the soup. The soup is apparently a liquid that got its flavor from cooking the flavor out of lentils, but to my taste, not much of the taste was recognizable and noticeable. The lamb served over eggplant (Sultan's Delight) was quite good and recommendable. I gave the restaurant only three stars because of the soup having so little taste.
Lezzet is a find! The food was great and the wine list prices are very reasonable. Falafel apps were delicious as was the Sultan's delight and doner kebab (could use some yogurt sauce on the side). The only disappointment was the keskul dessert. Better to stick with the baklava. Try the Turkish wine. Surprisingly very good. We'll definitely go back.
The food is so good. Never had a bad meal.
The service is attentive.
Delicious food. Especially liked the mint in the lentil soup and the thick eggplant puree under the lamb stew.
Always love the food at Lezzet. Everything ordered tasted fresh and excellent. The recent upgrades to their outdoor seating is great-the new chairs as so comfy.
It Was our first time but will not be last one. Fish was fresh and well cooked, so was the chicken. Excellent dessert.. Emre was great in making recommendations. Our server Furkan and prompt and diligent. Will be back. Thank you
Best crispy liver appetizer in NYC! Great lentil soup. For entrees - stick with the kebabs. Branzino and grilled veggies were disappointing. Overall very good value for food, and excellent service
Food was delicious, service was fast and very friendly
Each one of the Staff is very pleasant and hospitable .
The food is excellent .
Excellent Turkish cuisine in a great location! I was shopping at Bloomingdale's and stopped by Lezzet for lunch. What a treat! They have a lovely selection of both indoor and outdoor tables. My salad, hummus and falafel were all simply outstanding. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable. I will be going back whenever I'm shopping at Bloomingdale's, or happen to be in the area.
The food was delicious. Great service. Highly recommend.
Wonderful food served by attentive and lovely family. Could not have had a better experience.
Fantastic experience! Delicious and authentic food, friendly and attentive service, overall a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. I will definitely come back.
Always delicious. A great neighborhood addition and so happy it's surviving pandemic so far.
We had an excellent dining experience at Lezzet last night! They offered outside dining and inside the restaurant dining so we ate indoors. Since they didn’t have their liquor license yet, we brought a bottle of wine with us and they gladly served it to us with no corkage fee. We shared a nice Greek salad with the best pita bread we’ve ever eaten. The lamb shank and eggplant was absolutely tender and delicious. A man at the next table recommended the almond pudding, so we ordered one, and it was very good...soothing at the end of the meal! Thanks for an enjoyable dinner!
This is one of the best Turkish restaurants in the city. Sadly, with COVID19, we were outdoors and it was 49 degrees but while we were there plastic siding was installed which reduced the wind factor dramatically.
Food is always very good, friendly service and prices are reasonable.
Love it. Been many times and never disappoints. Highly recommended.
The outdoor setup is great and the food is awesome!
Delicious food. Bit if traffic noise but that’s to be expected now. Recommend to folks who like well prepared Turkish food with attentive service.
Amazing food and service as always. Been here a few times and they never disappoint.
Outdoor dining during the pandemic, with its felicitous and occasional annoyances. But this is a great addition to the neighborhood. Long may it wave. The menu is not unusual, but everything - mezzes and mains - was perfectly cooked and fresh-tasting.
During these trying times in NYC and the world, Lezzet has been a ray of sunshine and hope. Wonderfully gracious and friendly service--and terrific food. The falafel, Doner Kebabs and Shepherd salad are favorites. Generous portions, fresh ingredients and a lively and lovely outdoor setting make this a favorite.
Delicious food, great section of dishes and great service. This is a family owned Turkish restaurant on a quiet street with outdoor tables. The only caveat is that they do not have a liquor license so if you want that being your own bottle because the food here is really worth it from start to finish. Will return and highly recommend
Great set up outside! Tables far apart and the street isn’t too busy. Food was delicious. We’ll be back!
As a Turk, this food is truly authentic and delicious! Sitting outside in the gorgeous summer air felt so wonderful! They don’t have their liquor license yet so it’s BYOB and there’s a liquor store around the corner! The service is reliable and the value is actually very good compared to other Turkish restaurants in the area...AND the food is far better than those places!! Play this place a visit - you won’t be upset!
Great food, great service, great restaurant. It was the best Turkish food that we ate in US. The service was excellent.
Superb. For us, now the best Turkish (and arguably the best Middle Eastern) restaurant in NYC. Familiar offerings done even better plus some welcome
new variations. Highly recommended.
great relatively new restaurant. Food is outstanding and reasonably priced . excellent mezza platter - still BYOB while they wait for their liquor license. Go now and keep them in business.
We had an excellent dinner at LEZZET MEDITERRANEAN TURKISH Restaurant this evening. The food was delicious - all fresh ingredients and each item is made fresh. Try the chicken soup, babaganoush and falafel appetizers. All terrific. We had the dinner special which had great choices. The service was as good as the food. Your water glass will never be empty! The restaurant is also very nicely decorated and not overcrowded. To top it all off it is currently BYOB! A rare thing in Manhattan. Overall an outstanding dining experience. We will be back.
Convenient location, courteous staff, good quality food (main course could use a couple of more vegetarian options)... it’s BYOB, so! Already one of the best spots in the city.
