Overall impression is good, the service was good, the octopus, seviche and tuna pizza were awesome, but I was disappointed with a sea bass - no presentation just a piece of fish, marinated in way too sweet marinate. The desserts were well presented and delicious.
We did appreciate Maritza’s service. It was outstanding.
I was disappointed the restaurant did not inform us as time of reservation that they would be filming the jersey shore during our meal. It ruined our meal experience. We were at times ignored, did not receive second drink order and bright lights were in our face the entire meal. I will not return.
The staff were incredibly generous with their knowledge and time -- the service was truly the best. Food was beautifully presented and every dish was excellent. The champagne sorbet, made at our table, was an experience I'll never forget!
Remarkable customer service, it wasn’t enough that our waiter Sieb was exceptional but a visit from the manager, chef, and a another delightful waiter jose was over the top in making sure we were pleased with this dining experience.
We chose the lamb and ribeye and it was delicious. Grilled Colliflower, grilled octopus and Brussel sprouts also accompanied our meal.
A notable wine list is also available along with a selection full of interesting cocktails .We will certainly come again.
Spent 1900 dollars on the meal, but not able to comp parking or anything else for that matter? It’s the little things.
Great lunch. Beautiful spot. Excellent food and service. Terrific. Be sure to get Brussels sprouts.
Loved the ambience of the restaurant... the food was delicious but told it was family style and it really wasn’t! That was the only downfall to it!
Excellent. Food is great. Service excellent. Environment beautiful. So good, we went back for lunch. Be sure to get Brussels sprouts.
Food was poorly prepared... attempting to dress up grilled meats of average quality and poor flavor (soaked in brine with off flavors). Tasted no better than the average places dotting Lincoln Street... not up to standards of fine dining and certainly not worth the price. Service was horrendous... waitress seemed constantly annoyed and stressed even though restaurant was practically empty on early side of dinner. A really disappointing dining experience for an otherwise exquisite hotel that is one of my absolute favorite places. Will not eat there again. Hope they change the theme and ownership soon. The Delano deserves something far better.
Great ambiance especially in the outdoor area overlooking the rear property and pool. Food (appetizers) were well prepared and some of the drinks were tasty, and of course pricey as you would expect for South Beach and this high-end establishment. Our young server was generally good, yet rude at times (needs some lessons on etiquette). Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
We ordered several appetizers to share and weren't disappointed. Jose, our waiter recommended the Tuna Pizza, and it was definitely our favorite! It isn't really a pizza at all but a baked tortilla with tuna and truffle oil. We also loved the Beet Salad and the Octopus. Delish!
We had a great meal here. The paradilla portions were very small for the price but the meats were fantastic. The service was almost 100% terrific with the exception of the surly bartender. Other than that, the hostess and our server were delightful.
Food good - terrible service. servers/host are slow and forget about their customers.
Snotty Hostess! Came for dinner on what was a very cold evening in Miami (during recent bomb cyclone with dinner time temps hovering in low 50's). Most of the restaurant is outdoor seating, and no indoor seating was available. Initially we were shown to a table at the periphery of the dinning area outside the large awning next to a broken heater. Many empty tables of same size under the awning with nice functional cozy heaters. Asked for one of those tables response "those are reserved". Any way she found us a corner table near the building under the awning and close-ish to a working heater. Nice, however as "reserved" tables filled she had the heater moved towards that direction, we had our server move it back closer to our table. Hostess seemed annoyed!
That being noted our Server Kelly as well as the rest of the waitstaff was excellent. Good knowledge of the menu with great suggestions.
Now on to the food. We had the Kumomoto oysters well shucked fresh and tasty.
Baked Crab Hand Roll, snow crab, soy paper, dynamite sauce kind of bland wasabi was weak
Patagonian Lamb and Churrasco seasoned well and the cook was a good medium rare but ultimately nothing special. Same for the sides Charred Carrots, honey glaze and Truffle New Potato, fresh parmesan.
not blown away, not necessarily worth it, Sure there are many other restaurants of similar or better quality that would appreciate my patronage.
Pricey but delicious. Would repeat
Loved the food an atmosphere. really spectacular. my only gripe was the winelist, with the cheapest bottles being $130. I ordered a Cab I love for $145, but that just seemed crazy....I went with it because that was part of our evening and didn't say anything, but it just seems like there are so many great wines that should be at a better pricepoint (or these wines should have been priced more reasonably?). Anyway, maybe that's just South Beach and fancy hotel average, but i still found it annoying. The food was delicious and I felt was quite reasonable in terms of prices!
The food was bad, greasy and not tasty... the sushi was not bad. The wine was 2x more expensive than in other top restaurants. I regret having reserved. I prefer Hakkasan
Nice but don’t go on a rainy day
Very happy with my trip to this restaurant. There have been several highly rated restaurants that I have eaten in Miami and have left dissapointed. This was not one of them! Atmosphere A+, service A+, food A+
Great brunch. It includes buffet, two entrees from menus and parrillada.
Food was very good, but extremely expensive and service was terrible! It took more than 1 hour to have food on the table. Waiter was nice and explained there was problemas in the kitchen but still, 1 hour is too long for 375 per person. Extremely poor service and hostesses behave like if it was normal and we were impatient. Please!
So overpriced for what you get. Was preset meal so my table did not prefer a lot of the items served. They were accommodating for special dietary needs I will say but no dining is worth that much money to me personally.
First seating on NYE. Incredible scenery, gorgeous hotel/dining. José was a fabulous server and really brightened our NYE! Steak was a bit tough even at MRare. Rest of meal was delicious and inventive without arrogance.
Delicious meal. We had a special on the menu- tuna pizza was incredible and the best meal we had while in Miami.
Very upsetting! Y encima con este servicio tan malo, uno esta obligado a dejar un 20% de tip! Increíble!
Leave it to the Delano to increase the auto tip to 20%. Restaurant was smokey from the grill. Food was good not great. Service was good. I had much better at this price point the other 2 nights I was in Miami.
Very negative experience due to the poor customer service by the two front of house ladies,
very arrogant and not accommodating. Be warned that the valet service is also the most inefficient I have ever experienced in Miami Beach. I will not be back again. There is too much hype for this place.
It was wonderful our waiter was Sayeed and he made our visit very pleasant he was attentive and gave great menu advice.
Such a pretty place and great meal
Food and service... Both excellent! Only negative is the "background music" is way too loud, both inside and outside. Not a relaxing environment.
Amazing service! The grilled meats were delicious...and great sushi!
It was great.
This restaurant could be good, but still doesn’t have the service worked out. We went in november and there were some service problems. Food was good, so we chalked it up to being new and decided to try it again last night. Similar service issues.
The setting at the Delano hotel is chic and nice. It is fun to walk through the hip, trendy hotel lobby or get a drink at the lobby bar first. Entering the restaurant, which is all open air - outside, but covered, is nice too. You feel like you are at a south beach cool place.
After that, it is not perfect. No wait, but they sat our party of 5 at a large round table for 8, so we were very far apart from one another. After a few minutes of being told no, we complained to someone else and got moved to a smaller table. Much better.
It took a long time for someone to take our drink order. And a long while for drinks to come. The food we ordered started to come quickly and was delicious. But not in the right order. One of the appetizers came out late, after our entrees were served. And the two side dishes we ordered with the entrees did not show up. We finally just cancelled them and then guess what? They appeared but we were almost done, so we sent them back. Having said all that, the food was delicious. Everything we ordered tasted great and was nicely presented.
Second time there and service problems not improved. Ambiance and food are really good, so might try once more?
Christmas dinner what a remarkable place setting unbelievable and I love dining outside. Service impeccable and food outstanding. Prices reasonable for quality. Will visit every time in Miami
The sweetbreads and hangar steak courses were fantastic! The dessert beignets were unique in design and memorable!
Me and a couple of friend have had a wonderfull Christmas brunch at Leynia Delano hotel. Simply great.
I took my fiancee for his brithday; which falls on Christmas Eve.
When I made the reservation, almost a week ahead, I let whomever made the reservation for me, know that it was his birthday.
Our waitress did not know- she found out from us at the end of our meal, and gave us a lovely dessert (it was delicious!) the chocoalte lava cake with caramel. It was the highlight of the meal.
Our meal itself was OK, we got appetizers of a roll which was mediocre, and the chopped salad which waa good but be forewarnef- it's not chopped- large pieces of kale and veggies. Our entrees were fish and they were okay; small portions, fish was fine but personally I would not seek either one of our entrees or their rolls, again. We both were hoping for an amazing meal, with super fresh fish in Miami.
Our waitress, Tatiana, was terrific. Personable, attentive, and professional.
The restaurant is located inside and outside of the Delano hotel. Very stylish and the bars were full.
We sat outside. Music was pretty loud that evening. Tables were roomy. We liked the decor. Our meal with appetizers and entrees came to $148 including tip . Not including any drinks. FYI: The restaurant automatically charges a 20 percent tip in your bill. So note that on your bill if you dine there.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and very good service.
